Can I send a demand letter by e-mail.?

I was planning on sending a demand letter to the person I planned to sue, but I wanted to know if it is necessary to send it my snail mail or if I could just send it by e-mail to be quicker.

They're threatening to send me to jail if I refuse, so would this be a draft military letter (copy included)?

Here's what the letter that they sent me says (and please know that I edited the letter a bit, but it's pretty accurate to what they sent me) and it's from the United States Goverment Selective Service System:

Our records identify you as a man who may be required to register with Selective Service, but has not done so. You may register online , by telephone, or indicate you are registered by completing Section A of the enclosed Registration Status form. If you believe you are not required to register, ,complete Section B of the form and provide supporting evidence (copies only). Please verify and, if necessary, correct all information on the form. Sign and date the form and return it to us in the enclosed envelope within 10 days.

Failure to register with Selective Serive is a Federal Crime punishable by a fine and imprisonment. Men who fail to register may be unable to obtain U.S citizenship, and are not eligible for certain Federal benifits, such as job training, student financial aid and goverment employment. Registration protects that eligibility. Our objective is to register you, not to have you prosecuted.

If you need help in completing the form, or have questions about registering, phone us at : *-***-***-****

So is this seriously a draft letter? What can I do to avoid this? I'm currently in college, and I'm already a U.S citizen. Also, I'm in the Jehovah's Witness religion, and we are strongly against war. Also, there hasn't been a draft since the Vietnam war, so why would they do this? Also, Obama's supposed to pull out troops from Iraq in 2010, so is he also kinda responsible for this? Is there really a draft right now? So should I call them, and can I have myself cancelled from registering? I'm also gonna talk to the Jehovah's Witnesses and see what they can do.

Oh, and if you talk smack about the Jehovah's Witnesses or say anything racist or insulting against me, I'll report you. I'm serious about needing help and how to avoid this.

VIVA LA RAZA!

Can an organization refuse to take a candidate after giving an offer letter? Any legal path which candidate can take if the offer is honoured by employer?

To give proper opinion, we need little more information. Please confirm contents of your offer letter. You may delete the candidate's name. Secondly, acceptance of "Offer Letter" does not purport to establishment of employer-employee relationship. Therefore, on what grounds can you sue the candidate? Breach of agreement would have happened provided you would have given him the appointment letter confirming his future date of appointment. However, all these are surmises and best opinion can be provided only when we know the contents of the "Offer Letter"."No shows" in the job market are common. This is because there are more jobs and fewer candidates who fulfil qualifying requirements in all respects. Yes,"no shows" throws company's planning into topsy-turvy. But then for every business there is downside and so is this one too.

When do colleges start sending admission letters?

As an article on Huffpost says, an email is generally sent by the colleges confirming that they have received your application. If you do not hear back, contact the admissions office to confirm that they have received your materials. Every university has their unique admission requirements. So, do check and make sure you have followed all directions. If your application is incomplete, this could delay their review and your decision. There are applications status links on most every college website. Use the same log in information you used for your application and you should be able to access the university websites. Receipts of transcripts, letters of recommendation, and test scores are sometimes on these status pages, so feel free to check back as often as you like.If you applied for early decision, you should be notified around December 15th. If you applied to colleges where there is rolling admission, it generally can take six to eight weeks to receive a decision. Regular admission deadlines are around the 1st of the year and those decisions are revealed in March and April. You can obtain more specific information by visiting the colleges’ websites.Don’t wait more than three weeks to contact colleges if you have not received a confirmation. If you haven’t received a response, call or email the admissions office to check your status. You can also check the application status link on their websites. Most colleges send decisions electronically through the application status link and follow up with a letter.

How can I settle with collection agency?

This may just be a pressure tactic that they love to use.

Never talk to collectors on the phone. Do everything by mail so you have a record of whats happening.

Send them a debt validation letter tomorrow, send it certified mail return receipt. (create a papertrail)

They have to provide you with validation, from the original creditor, within 30+5 days after they receive it. (the +5 days is for return mailing)

Then check your states statute of limitations (SOL) to see if you are still within SOL. If you are out of SOL, you are not legally bound to pay them a penny.

Check out the free site I've listed. You will be able to find the SOL for your state, how to write a debt validation letter and how to deal with collectors.

How does one go about getting out of a Planet Fitness membership?

You can walk in and cancel or send a certified letter to your home Gym to cancel. I recommend certified letter so you have tracking that it was received. Your home gym is the Gym where you originally signed up. You cancellation will be immediate. You do not need to give 30 days notice. The white card is the month to month membership. The black card has a 12 month commitment. If you cancel early you have a buyout fee that needs to be paid before cancellation can be completed.Note: Your last payment can be affected by the cancellation date. Example: at my location if you cancelled before the 10th you would not be billed again in your standard payment date if the 17th.All of these items are listed in the contract you signed when you joined.

Bank of America has hired a law office to sue me for $3,500.?

Thanks a lot for all your answers. The party who is calling my parents and sending letters is not B of A. It is a firm called Phillips & Cohen. Both letters and calls are threatening. Also, one very important thing I need to know... how can I get some bargaining power witht them? I have no money right now to pay back. I can't afford an attorney. When I go to court, how can I represent myself against them? Thank you
