If You Were President How Would You Control Our Country

If you were the Syrian president, how would you take control of the whole country again?

I’d make a contract with Israel. If not possible, try to topple the Netanyahu/Liebermann-regime and support another reasonable Center/left government in Israel. Support the Jewish cause in Syria, rebuild and reopen some old synagogues. This could immediately shift the U.S. policy towards Syria because it is driven by this single cause. Without external material and ideological support, the Anti-Assad movement, religious or not, would falter.Of course, that’s not going to happen because forces behind the current Israeli regime will plunge Israel into another war before anything of this will come about. This will create a state of permanent danger and helps to keep the internal pressure strong against any dissenter within the Israeli society.

If you were the president of powerful country, what are the first five changes you would make, and in what countries would you make them?

In the US (or almost any other country), I would:1) get rid of all taxation based on level of income (personal or corporate) and replace it with an absolute dollar amount, getting rid in one swoop of the multi-billion dollar regulatory expenses and invasive practices2) implement freedom of association between private parties (leading to no more labor regulations, price controls in the private sphere, smoking bans in private locales, etc.)3) decriminalize all victim-less crimes (e.g., voluntary transactions between people, such as sales of drugs between willing individuals, prostitution, gambling) and free all people held in prison for such offenses4) decriminalize all "potential crime" behavior (e.g., arresting somebody for having a high probability of committing a crime, before actually doing so, such as drunk driving etc.) and free all people held in prison for such offenses5) stop punishing all people for the "potential outcomes" of some (e.g., stop forcing them to pay into a certain type of pension plan because of the possibility of them not saving enough on their own for old age; basically stop all public policy based on assuming the worst about people, especially since there are safety nets in place for those who end up in a bad situation)6 (optional) resign and smile

If you were president, what would you do about people crossing the southern border illegally? Tell us what YOUR policy would be.

I would put more immigration lawyers at the border, so people who have asylum claims could be processed and evaluated more quickly. I would also allow more green cards and working visas, because we NEED those people working in this country and they should be paid fairly and accounted for. I would make a definite path to citizenship for green card/visa holders who serve in our military, as they will have EARNED their right to citizenship. I would also require they learn to speak English before getting their citizenship, but that’s just me. This IS a country of immigrants, and we cannot forget the value that they have always brought to this country. Lastly, I would increase our outreach and assistance to the countries these people tend to come from. If life is better in their own country, they will be less apt to want to leave their country to come here. That only makes common sense. Even if it involves having Americans go to those countries to supervise how those funds are used in those countries, I still think aid is an important component of immigration control. I would also ARREST THE WHITE PEOPLE (I say that because let’s face it, they are mostly white people) who are hiring the illegals and force them to apply for working visas for the workers they need. That way those people they need to work will still get jobs, but they will be accounted for and paid fairly. It’s not rocket science. All it takes is will, and GOODwill.

If you were President, what would be the first thing you'd do?

The very first thing would be to impose an Emergency nationwide, giving me non-justiciable extra-judicial powers. This ensures my authority remains unchallenged.Then I shall achieve the following via Presidential decrees, policies and legislation:1. Impose heavy taxes on the richest 5% of the country.2. Impose heavy taxes on banks and give policies on how they are to work.3. Push for international nuclear disarmament.4. Slash the military budget into 10% of what it was originally.5. Shift the national focus on education, healthcare and societal fraternization.6. Stringent checks on corruption, imposing exile (after seizure of property) on those who are convicted in my specially instated Presidential courts.7. Legalize psychedelic drugs and cannabis.8. Criminalize some pharmaceutical drugs- place much more stringent checks on drug testing before approval (you won't believe the poisons they FDA and other drug regulatory authorities have allowed to be marketed solely for reasons of profitability without proper testing)9. Make the media report the news- not stories which reap the most profits (where is Ebola now? Seems like ISIS is giving the highest ratings which is why it is in the limelight. Granted, it is a real problem, but it is not the only real problem).10. Make education mandatory. Stringent taxation would enable me to pay subsidies to parents who send their children to work rather than to school (I live in a country where child labour is quite legal).11. Criminalize all religious sermons which are indoctrinating in nature.12. Increase the minimum wage.13. HEAVY taxation on luxury/branded goods.14. Subsidize local businesses and set up a quality assurance board to assist them to churn out products of superior quality.15. Have a help all, love all policy. A renewed sense of nationalism would help.16. Sit back in my Presidential chair and smoke a joint while having local bands play for me (I'd obviously pay them).
