Is it legal to write on a dollar bill?
Here's the law, part of United States Code 18: "Whoever fraudulently alters, defaces, mutilates, impairs, diminishes, falsifies, scales, or lightens any of the coins coined at the mints of the United States, or any foreign coins which are by law made current or are in actual use or circulation as money within the United States; or whoever fraudulently possesses, passes, utters, publishes, or sells, or attempts to pass, utter, publish, or sell, or brings into the United States, any such coin, knowing the same to be altered, defaced, mutilated, impaired, diminished, falsified, scaled, or lightened- Shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both." This has been interpreted to apply to all moneys. So yes, it is illegal, but it's not enforced unless you are trying to counterfeit money. That's where the word fraudulently applies in the law. yes it is but how is going to find out it was you and even if they did what are the going to do through you in jail lol no yes it is illegal but nothing will happen
Is it illegal to write on money?
I am not bothered by imaginary creatures, would it bother any christians if US money instead stated "In Zeus we trust"? I am curious because I don't feel comfortable exchanging money with this phrase on it, I feel as if I am being forced to accept this phrase against my will. I do not trust in "god" I do however trust in America (or what I believe it stands for which is freedom of religion and from oppression such as this). I can't simply not use the money, it is mine, I earned it and it is the only currency available in the United States. And before any of you tell me to get out, I have just as much a right to be here as anyone else, and this country was founded on the very changes that I am implying, not on christian principles. I feel that I should have the legal right to cross this ridiculous phrase off of the money that I use, I'm sure if it said the flying spaghetti monster for even a week the arrogant christian group would be severely offended and throw a massive hissy fit!
How can a 13 year old submit a bill to a law representative?
Citizens don’t directly write and submit bills, but they petition their representatives to do so. There may already be a law or regulation on the books similar to the one you want to make, so in many cases they can help you find out.If you are in the USA: start by simply calling or writing to your local representative, also called a legislator. Depending on the size of your town/city, you may have one or more legislators. If you don’t know who to call, go to your state’s legislative website and look up the names of people serving your area. Many towns and cities across America have two or more legislative districts, meaning that different parts of the city are served by different legislators. If you’re not sure which specific district is yours, call your city or municipal offices and ask the clerk. The Internet is your friend. Your municipality probably has a website with contact names. The clerk or any city official can also tell you the representatives for your area.If you’re in Canada, I would suspect that it’s similar. Good luck!
If you could make a law, what would it be?
In order to limit the number of appeals that prisoners make (clogging up the courts with pathetic appeals that have no chance of winning, but the prisoner has nothing better to do than file appeals), institute "Double or Nothing". You're welcome to appeal your sentence. If you win, you go free. If you loose, your sentence is doubled. Or you could make it a law that for every law that Congress puts on the books, they must take one law off of the books. We keep sending people to Congress year after year, whether or not we need any new laws, but they feel obligated to make new laws.
Is it legal to produce your own electricity and not be connected to the grid?
I was watching the video on cnn about the man who put up a huge windmill to power his home. However, he was talking about how it will still be connected to the grid and if he produces enough electricity he wont pay a bill but if not he will. Also, a man in Florida built enough solar to power his home but he is also connected to the grid. What are the laws about having your own independent energy without being connected to the grid? Are you allowed to not have any connection to the power companies? I know you never own a home in america because of property tax and eminent domain. But can you not even power your home without being connected to the largest polluting, money laundering scum on the planet? I am excited about technology that can power a home free of electric companies. But if even with the technology we still have to be part of the grid what's the point.
If you could pass a law, what law would it be?
Alright, alright.Enough with the “Golden Rule” answers you bunch of Confucius (and/or Jesus, whatever floats your goat) enthusiasts.I have one law that could and should actually be passed in any developed nation or at least in my home country of Canadia. (I’m lookin’ at you parliament).A child permit. That’s right, as hypothetical king of the world I will introduce a law that requires aspiring parents to go through some kind of application process potentially including, but not limited to, interviews, financial stability checks, criminal record checks, physical/mental health tests and fuck maybe even a short parenting course that includes how to not drop your baby, etc… before they can just start creating little humans. Now before all you parents or parents-to-be turn on me and scroll to the comment section complaining that it’s your right to have a baby whenever you want, I totally, 100% kind of disagree.I mean, how many more fucking shows like this orlike this or evenLike this do we have to see before admitting to ourselves as a society, maybe not anyone and everyone should be able to have kids? Hell, every one of you reading this definitely personally knows somebody who you think shouldn’t be a parent.*And damnit why do we glorify incompetent parents so much on TV?*All I’m saying is I would be much less retarded if my parents had to attend a course on raising a child before I was born!*ahem*No my point is, every single couple (and especially their kids) would benefit from a law like this, and it would be similar to the process for adoption.. besides, yenno the whole having to wait 2–7 years for a kid aspect.Couples could apply for (lol bear with me) a child permit before getting pregnant or if it was unplanned just as soon as they found out.Now what if couples who are already pregnant do not qualify as adequate parents?Simple, we will offer them resources to, so to speak, sort their lives out within the next nine months so that they can achieve competent parent status™️ and prevent them from birthing kids like this:(Warning, extremely vulgar, offensive, and all things unholy)..Thoughts?Edit: see Saya Madison’s answer to “What is your most controversial political opinion?”She seems to have thought this out a little more than I have. Reference my comment.
