My own video on youtube is "embedding disabled by request" and can't be embedded.?
Any reason why this is happening? YES - the embedding option is on in the preferences to this video. All other posts I find are people asking about other people's videos - but this one is mine that I uploaded. The only reason I can imagine there is an error is because this an an acting reel of a friend - maybe it was flagged because of copyright issues? But that doesn't follow any logic as it is still viewable on youtube, just not embedding onto his manager's website. Any ideas why this is happening?

I don't know for certain, but given that the option has been there for as long as I can remember (since I joined YouTube in 2009) I dare say it's a remnant of a more constricted time on YouTube; a feature to help put the music industry at ease.For some time it was common to stumble across a music video that wasn’t available on the mobile version of YouTube - and it's probably because people typically listen to music during their daily commute. I suppose the idea is that by putting the music video on desktop-only YouTube you get people hooked on the song while they're at home, and for them to listen to it while out and about, they have to buy the song and/or music video on iTunes, CD etc.Long story short - just like geoblocking, it's an outdated idea of selective access that doesn't belong on the internet and content creators appear to realise this as I haven't seen a mobile-blocked video in quite some time.
