Im 16 And I Want To Grow Taller.

Is there any way for me to grow taller? (I'm 16 and 5'0″.)

If you’re a male, most males actually grow up until age 20.If you’re a female, most females grow up until age 20, but gain 0.3 inches from ages 15 - 20, and about 0.1 - 0.2 inches from 16 - 20. This can be seen here. You can’t grow taller without genetics that let you.

Im 16 and i want to grow taller.?

You will probably peak at 5'8 at 18.

To grow taller plenty of protein, calcium, vitamin D and zinc all help.

To reach your potential height you need adequate sleep (from 8-10 hours per night), adequate calories and a normal healthy diet.

Plenty of protein from eggs, meat, poultry, sea food and dairy products helps as well as calcium from milk, cheese and other dairy products. You also need plenty of zinc from red meat, oysters, mussels, nuts and seeds and zinc fortified cereals such as Weetbix. Vitamin D3 via the Sun also helps.

Girls usually stop growing at 15 and in most cases any further height growth from 15-21 is insignificant but there are exceptions such as late bloomers.

Guys usually stop growing at 18 and in most cases any further height growth from 18-25 is insignificant but there are exceptions such as late bloomers.

Under eating and under sleeping can, to some extent, stunt your height growth. Exercise does not help your height growth and smoking can actually reduce your potential height by a whole inch.

Im 16 male will i grow taller?

ok, im 16 and im only 5 ft 5. my moms side family is pretty tall on the womens side. my mom is 5 ft 4 and my dads side is pretty short, he is 5 ft 7. I started exercising a month ago, running in the morning everyday, everyday havent skipped a day at all, would that hurt my growth? should I rest? I do pushups and situps every other day. i stretch on pullup bars every day and i went on a healthy food diet last month. and please dont say its genetics, ive heart plenty of that because 20% of your growth relies on your environment and your daily habit. are there any personal experiences of growing tall after 16? ive never had an actual growth spurt where I grew 4 inches at a time, i grew constantly at an extremely slow speed. in 2 years i only grew 6 inches. also, will this matter if i dont have much armpit hair? like from 8 ft away you cant tell i have hair but up close i have like 20 but not noticeable. does that mean i still have a lot to go? thank you for your answer :)

if you want to grow as your maximum height, check your spine curve first, and check your health
i think genetically you can grow over 5feet. you have to be healthy if you want to grow.
sleep a lot, eat a lot of calcium.exercise. first af all you check your health first so you find out what factor disturb you grow taller.

i wish you have happiness in your life, height is not important. so don't depress please.

I'm 16 and want to grow taller. Advice?

I am just 5 feet tall at the age of 16. Is it possible to grow tall after this age? Should I go to the gym or do what? Please advice. I want to grow taller than 6 feet.

How do I grow 5 inches taller? I'm 16 & 4'11.?

Did you really shrink by two inches at the age of 16? :/ Are you ill or something? :( I'm thinking that you probably measured yourself incorrectly one of those times, though. :P

I'm 17 years old and 151cm (4'11.5), and desperately want to grow taller as well. We're so in the same boat right now.

1. Go to the doctor and see if you're vitamin deficient. They'll give you tablets for that. (That's what happened to me. I was iron, calcium and vitamin D deficient -- these are especially important. Vitamin deficiencies can stunt your growth.).
2. Take centrum tablets for an all-round supplement. (This is what the doctor gave me)
3. If you want to do this well, and make no mistakes in your eating, ask for an appointment with a nutritionist. (Doctor booked me one)
4. Get at least 8 hours of *good* sleep. It often helps if your room is cool and dark and clean. (I put up a light-blocking curtain and I use ear-plugs.)
5. Keep up the stretching, this will help correct your posture. Don't listen to people who say there's no use in stretching, bad posture can very much rob you of (albeit a little amount) height. Yoga is particularly great. Also, if you have good posture you don't seem as small.

Being realistic here, I'm not going to tell you that you'll probably reach 175cm or anything because you're already 16, but I estimate that you have the potential to grow to about 157cm (~5'2) - 160cm (~5'3) (from your parents heights). There have been cases where people have grown past the age of 18, so you don't have to completely give up hope then) If you haven't by 25, well, we'll both have to accept our heights. It could be a lot worse. Remember that we can still be beautiful while being short. Look up Ariana Grande. She's only 153cm (~5'0). And Judy Garland was our height right now! Just off five feet. :D Good luck :) :)

I'm 16 and 158cm, will I grow any taller?

The probability is that you won’t get significantly taller. The part of the bones where growth actually occurs, called the bone plates, slow down in activity through the mid to late teens, and in most people close up and stop around the age of 19. However, a late growth spurt is not impossible.
