Im 17 And How Can I Get Enough To Buy Gmc Sierra 2014 I Don

Will a Jeep Grand Cherokee 5 Lug Rim fit a Chevy C 1500 Pick up?

No, unfortunately not. The Chrysler 5 lug is the same as the older Ford truck 5 lug. Ford and Chevy kinda made it point to make their stuff incompatible. I can see why you'd ask, though. You may have noticed that the Jeeps made under the AMC nameplate in the '80s had some GM components, like the washer/turn switch, and ignition and key cylinders, just to name a couple. But just for referance for you, the C is from the old Fisher body codes. All the 2 wheel drive full size trucks are 'C' bodies, and all the 4 wheel drive trucks are the 'K' bodies. On 1980 and up GM's, this is the fifth digit in the VIN. Now, you can use rims off of some mid 70's Lincolns. I have seen an '86 C1500 and the owner had rims from a '76 Continental on it. That truck has the same 5 lug bolt pattern as your truck. I don't think you can use rims off of the S/T body (2/4 wheel drive S10 trucks) but you may want to verify that. If you can, then you could use rims off of the F body (Camaro/Firebird) which I think would look cool. Also, you may remember the rims on the The General Lee from "The Dukes of Hazzard". Those are the American Racing Vector Series. Well, American Racing reintroduced that rim a few years ago, I think they call it the Vector Classic. It's available in Ford and Chevy 5 lug, but oddly enough not for Dodge. If I find out more before you close this question, I'll add it here.

Can 5 lugnut mustang rims fit in my 5 lug ford ranger??

Yes, they will, but you will have a harsh ride afterward. You will feel more bumps and stiffness in the ride. If you don't want your teeth falling out of your mouth you'd best stick with truck rims.

Sean, when there's less sidewall on the tire you're sacrificing ride quality on the truck. I used to have real FMS 95 Cobra Rs on a 96 Ranger XLT I used to own. The smaller overall diameter of the whole wheel threw my speedometer off -4MPH. The ride quality was a night and day difference from smooth to harsh. I keep my vehicles well maintained. With the Cobras I felt every bump and bone jarring little potholes. I know it's not the rim that affects ride quality, but nobody puts truck tires on Mustang rims.

Do you need to buy new tires for new rims?

Tom , Tom , Tom , NO.

When buying a used car, do banks verify vehicle mileage?

Let's say I want to buy a car with over 100,000 miles. A bank could turn me down. Could I lie and say the car has 95,000 or something lower? Would they somehow be able to check/verify via the VIN from state inspections/carfax, etc. that I would have to give them? I bought a car last year with about 95k and was able to get financing(can't remember if the DMV actually verified the mileage when I got it inspected/titled... it was from out of state)... but the cars I'm looking at now have over 100k. I'm afraid if I tell them it has over 100k, they will deny me the loan.

I am picky about cars and buy certain cars with only certain features(and with plenty of aftermarket support). And I don't mind wrenching on cars so a high mileage car is a project for me. A car to me is not just an appliance to get from A-B and I loathe automatics and beige Camrys!!! Just FYI the type of car buyer I am. So don't tell me to look for a newer or different car, because it's probably something I can't stand driving or it's out of my budget.

I’m trading in my car next month. Does anyone know if banks will void next months payment since I won’t have it at the end of that month?

Car loan payments are paid in arrears, which means you are paying for the past month.

When you trade, the dealer will call your bank and ask for the current balance, which might include an unpaid monthly payment. This is the amount that the dealer will pay the bank to "buy" your vehicle. Now, if that amount is less than your car is worth, he'll CREDIT you with the difference as part of your down payment on your new vehicle. However, if the amount is more than your car is worth, you are "upside down" and you must PAY the difference as part of your down payment.

Once the dealer pays off your loan, you no longer need to make payments. However, it sometimes happens that dealers don't get around to paying off your loan immediately, which means you must keep making payments meantime. Of course, your payoff will be less by the time the dealer gets around to it, and you'll somehow get credit for it, assuming the dealer is honest and doesn't decide to keep the difference for himself.

What happens if they can't find my car for repossession?

Now, let me clear some things up. It isn't technically my car; my stepfather owns it. (My mother has epilepsy, had a seizure while driving, lost her license, and they got me the car a few years ago while I was in high school to help with rides/errands etc... When I graduated, they let me know the car was mine to keep and drive.) Anyway, my mother recently left my stepfather. Turns out, he hadn't been paying for the car for a couple months before everyone moved out and obviously didn't start paying again. I don't know how far behind he is on payments, but my stepbrother warned me the car company was calling daily and I should be careful. We no longer live at the address the car company has; we moved a few towns over. & My stepfather doesn't know where we are. I work for an agency that sends me to various (unpredictable) locations all different shifts, meaning I don't really have one place of employment they could track the car to.

I know I can't keep it forever. I just don't have the means to get another car right now, and I desperately need it for work. (As I mentioned, my job requires a lot of driving.) I'm just worried they could report it stolen to the police or something like that. (I know my stepfather wouldn't, but could the car dealership/loan people do that?) I'm not trying to outsmart or outrun the man permanently, I just need to be able to squeeze a little more time out of the car before I have the money to invest in a new one.
