Are there any bugs that may look like bed bugs?

If you've got bed bugs, they look like this.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bedbug

My bed has lot of bed bugs and I am scared some of them might have got into my head through my ears! Is that possible? What should I do?

Whoa. This is serious. Does your brain (ie. inside your skull) feel itchy sometimes? Like something is moving inside your skull? Look, you have to meet a neurosurgeon ASAP and get your skull opened up to get the bedbug out. But don't worry, the laser surgery shown in the movie "Universal Soldier" has been invented and you'll be good to go in days. Please call a pest control team and get your bed cleaned of bedbugs. Otherwise, another bedbug will enter your brain and irritate you by roaming around on your grey matter. Bedbugs have been known to live inside human brains for centuries. They love to eat the brain cells, making their subject more and more stupid by each passing day.So if you haven't lost all of your intelligence just yet, call pest control!#sarcasm

Found BED BUGS! NEED HELP!?

OMG I feel your pain. I have been thru this and I must say its a total nightmare.
OK first off calm down. It has nothing at all to do with cleanliness. Dont make yourself crazy over that. ( I did ) Bedbugs are very common now days. You can get them anywhere. Most times you get them traveling, but you can pick them up just about anywhere and never know. If you live in an apt they could have "moved" from your neighbors to you.
First you need to know if they are bedbugs. I'm not so sure they are. Have someone you know look up some info for ya. If you are really scared of bugs DONT look at the websites. I freaked out after reading all the info. You learn alot but might not wanna know all about them.
Are you itchy? Do you have what look like mosquito bites on ya? The bites are generally in clusters or in one general area but all over. I thought I had a rash, but turns out I was allergic to there bites. They didnt bother my husband though.
Unfortunately there really is no way to get rid of them without professional help. I tried and failed and the investation got worse as I tried to "battle" them on my own. Basically I just moved them to another area of the house. You have to find the "nest" and that is not visible to the naked eye. They lay eggs and just spread. Nothing you can buy on the market will do it. Dont waste your money on the on-line sights either.
They are going to tell you to throw out just about everything. They can live for 16 months without blood aka food, so they are hard to find and kill. They hide in the folds of the mattress, in pillows, headboards, behind light switches and all the places you cant see.
My advice is have a friend help ya determine if it is a bedbug and then if so call pest control ASAP!
This isnt a solution but a nightly quick fix: They say to put clean linen on everynight. We would put our sheets and comforter in the dryer on high for 20 minutes, same with pillows. Extreme heat kills them. Pull your bed out from the wall also. I dont know if it did, but gave me a little piece of mind to help me sleep.
I wish you the best of luck & as I said I totally understand what your going thru.

Scared to sleep because Bed Bugs?

It's 3 in the morning. And for the past few months my family has had bed bugs. We have all moved in the living room, but they found us. My mom and sister would get itchy red spots all over but I got nothing. I thought maybe they ignored me because there was my sister and mom, or something. I haven't seen any in my bed on the floor and I have no bites. But then I was on my phone and I could see a brown spot on my blanket. So I turned on my flashlight and one was sitting on my blanket. My mom killed it and it had blood. My dog was on me so I'm not sure that it bit me. I'm terrified to sleep and I have nowhere to go. I already have insomnia, an extreme fear of bugs, and anxiety. So this is really bad. I will NOT be able to sleep knowing that there was a bed bug on my blanket. I'm tired and I'm on the verge of crying.

How do I get rid of bed bugs with out breaking the bank?

I tried a old redemy with clorox and lightsoil I am so lost and I am afraid they have taken over my house I am single mother and my father came to visit and I guess there were some in his bags and it just got outta control and now it's affecting my child.
