Im Doing A Science Fair Project On Horses Is A Certain Bit Thats Helps While Trotting

When is a Mustang horse fully grown?

I currently have a 24 year old QH that I retired, and another QH cross that's 12. I ride and show him mainly, in jumping and flat, so I'm in no rush to get another horse to jump on. However; we might be getting a third horse because she belongs to my trainer who is really wanting her to go to a good home. She was born March 10th (I believe) in 2010. So, she is 2 years old and almost two months. Anyways, she is full Spanish Mustang and I honestly don't know much about when a horse matures and is ready for training.

She is already trained to ride (well, she is saddle-broke) and is a complete angel under saddle and on the ground. I was just curious as to when I can start training her for english riding. I am WELL aware I shouldn't jump her until around 4 years old (or maybe earlier, since I heard Mustangs mature generally faster..?), but I would really like to see how she moves. Is it too early to work on flatwork, or even ground poles? I have a trainer who would work with me and all, and I would be sure that she only got worked maybe two times a week mixed with a lot of ground training.

Thank you. (:

Why do race horses trot sideways with their head on the lead pony? ?

Most of the time, the pony rider is holding them on a really short lead until they get clear of the grandstand area and onto one of the turns or the backstretch area where they can release the Thoroughbred to warm up. When a horse has his head turned sideways, his neck and body tend to follow, so you get the crab-wise jogging and jiggering until the pony rider releases the Thoroughbred.

While some Thoroughbreds become real troupers and don't get freaked out by much, most Thoroughbreds are pretty "hot" when they're in training, and when they leave the saddling paddock to to to the track, they're very keyed up.

To get from the saddling paddock to the track, on most racetracks you have to go on a pathway that leads through the crowd, and people line the way out to the track so they can look at the horses. There's a fair amount of noise and a lot of movement, and this can really get the horses cranked up. This is the time when a horse is most likely to do something crazy/dangerous, like try to rear up, or kick out, or set back and try to pull away from the pony rider. The pony riders keep a close hold on the horses they're leading out because the less leverage the horse has, the less mischief it can get into. I don't know if you've ever had to restrain a horse of any kind, but if you have, you know that you take a hold of the lead shank close to the head, you don't give the horse 2-3 feet of lead and expect to keep out of trouble.

When the riders are clear of the crowd and the distractions it poses, they release the racehorse to warm up, if that's what the trainer wanted. Some horses stay with the pony to warm up; it just depends on the horse.

What are some final year project ideas that I can pursue to help the society in some way?

Do some innovative projects that are help full to farmers and agriculture with low cost as main motto think,,..... think on a cost which will be very help full for farmers, i will give you an example. controlling the irrigation motor with an Gsm modem which is so much helpful for farmers which can be controlled through his cell phone from any place with low cost and introducing reliable solar robot in Agro fieldsĀ  to aid farmers, likewise do some projects that are used in real time. I stressed agriculture because we engineers should react for a social cause as the farmers are dying , and if this continues there would be food scarcity.

What was your first computer experience like?

Ah, the good old days.By the time I was in high school, I wanted a computer. The only problem was, my father wouldn't buy it for me. His reasoning? There was a state level quiz competition which had a computer for first prize. If I wanted the computer bad enough, I would go win it.So I tried. While I was in eighth standard, I have the school level round of the exam. I came second. Only the winner would get to participate in the next level, and I was left licking my wounds. Ijaz Aslam, the winner from my school, managed to go all the way to the state level, came second, and won a television.Next year, I tried again. The first thing to do was beat Ijaz at the school level, which I somehow managed to. Was kind of smooth going from there, and I won the district level too. The state level quiz was particularly exciting because of the added incentive, but thankfully, that worked out too.So now I had a computer. It was assembled. It had one of those archaic CRT monitors, an AMD Athlon processor, 128MB RAM, 40GB hard disk and a pirated version of windows 98. There were floppy and cd drives (no cd writing ability), and ps/2 keyboard and mouse. Was probably the barest system imaginable around then.I was still really, really excited. Unfortunately, I wasn't going to be able to actually use the computer for a few more months - We were going to move to a new house, and my parents didn't want to take the trouble of transporting the unboxed components. I spent the months literally dreaming about the comp. When the time finally came, I was over the moon. I had my own computer. It had songs (pirated), and even games (pirated)! At that time, I had no idea how limited the specs were, and I wouldn't have cared either because it was my baby.Just the next day, I managed to make my first big screwup with the computer. I had seen that there were two copies of the songs folder with identical contents. Since the hard disk size was so small, I decided to delete one of the copies to save space on the disk. I merrily clicked OK when I got the warning that the deleted files would not go to the Recycle bin since their size was so large. After the success of the noble task, I tried to open the "other" folder. That is when I realised that there was something called shortcuts. Too late, everything was gone. That was April 2004, and I have been finding more outrageous ways to screw things up with computers ever since.
