Im Getting A Side Cut But I Like To Wear Weaves

I am getting a full head sew in weave. When I go to the beauty salon what do I have to bring with me?

If you're getting it from the beauty supply store (bss), I'd get 2 packs of hair. To your shoulders would probably be 14inch.

A side closure? I think you just mean a closure. It's what you put on the front part of your hair so you can have a natural looking part.

It does not have to be the same brand, but you're better safe than sorry.

Remy isn't played out. (that's such a superficial/childish thing to say especially when most girls claiming to be wearing virgin hair aren't actually wearing virgin hair) Personally, I never got remy. I went from human hair to virgin hair.

Anyway Brazilian Virgin Hair, isn't really Brazilian or Virgin. Brazilians do not cut of their hair for hair companies. Chinese people and Indians do, however. So usually the hair is Chinese or Indian being marketed as Brazilian - usually processed to "appear" Brazilian.

Anyway, if you buy hair from a U.S. vendor it is quite pricey, so you can stick to BSS hair if it's in your budget or you can find vendors on aliexpress, but seeing as how you're asking on yahoo answers rather than doing research, you seem like someone who would easily get scammed on that site, so you should stay away from it, until you are ready to do some of your own research.

If your hair is long enough, you do not need extra packs of synthetic braiding hair, but even though my hair is long enough, it makes me feel secure, like my braids won't loosen if I have it reinforced with synthetic hair, but that's just how I feel.

That's all you need to bring. The salon should have everything else.

I'm considering a weave but I'm clueless?

Ive never had a weave before but my hair has been relaxed since I was maybe 8 or 9. I shaved off one side around September and I was very happy with it but now I'm ready for it to grow back. I've gone without a new relaxer for almost a year now though and I figure since I've already gone this far I might cut the other side and weave the whole thing for the summer until I have enough for a cute natural style to wear until I get the length I want.

My questions are this though. What type of weave is the most natural looking? I know there's like sew-ins and whatnot? And in that case how long would my hair have to be to wear these weaves?

Like anything I know the best work is gonna cost me but what range are we talking? $100? $150?

Is a weave going to hold up in humidity? I live about 20 minutes outside of chicago.

How does a weave compare to a relaxer in terms of upkeep?

I know this is a lot, but any help at all would be appreciated

Can you wear a weave inside a pool?

hi, wearing weave in the pool is ok, but remember you have to know how to treat it well, so it can look the same as before you wet it. Trust me, i do it all the time.......... One last question how are you getting it????? It depends.....

I need help transitioning without cutting!?

Im currently wearing a relaxer but i want to go back to natural hair without cutting it all off. I did the big chop in feb and it was so cute natural and was really wavy but i lost my mind and got a relaxer. Since then my hair has grown to almost shoulder length. Right now im due for another relaxer but im thinking of not getting one for a full year and letting it just grow out and doing the big chop next jan. My question is, is it okay to wet my hair everyday(not wash) and style it. I usually wet it in the shower, scrunch in mousse and let it air dry. Will this damage my hair really badly as im not using heat and i wash it and condition it once a week? Im really sick of how thin my hair looks with a relaxer and my daughter has georgeous curly black hair and i want to set a good example for her so she will never relaxer her hair. Can someone give me transitioning pointers please. Again i do not want to do the big chop for a year~

How to get a weave with half shaved hair? (undercut)?

Yes you can... You can easily rock a middle part with a sew in (this style would look really full on the side thats shaved if your not afraid of glue). It can be done without it however!

You can also wear a side part, with the part on the side that is not shaved
Or you can show off your sidecut by sewing in the hair on the opposite side. That way you can still see the side and when you pull it into a ponytail you can still rock your undercut!

Clip on extensions are also a good choice if you don't want it for too long like a sew in. Gluing in the hair is also an option and more versatile than a sew in but it can damage your hair if it's not taken care of properly. :-)

How to Ask My Mom for a Weave?

I would suggest you talk to your mom and explain exactly how you feel! Emphasize that you are confident in yourself as you are. But... There is nothing wrong with altering your physical appearance for a short period of time. Let her know it will only be in for a few months. it's not like you are trying to get butt implants or something lol! It can be removed eventually. Also express to her that wearing hair extensions no longer has a "fake" or negative connotation. People wear these things for several reasons in today's age, whether it be to cover flaws like bald spots, to protect their real hair from the stresses of everyday wear, or just to look more polished!

With the proper care of your hair underneath (washing, and moisturizing it) you can maximize growth by wearing a sew in or braids.

Lastly, be sure to compromise with your mom! Don't go out and get 18" hair extensions. Keep it simple with a cute style using a 10" or 12" then because it's not unreasonably long she may be more accepting!

Hope you have a great freshman year regardless!

How can i sew in weave in short hair?

I cut my hair 4 months ago in "The Rhianna Cut"-One side long, the other side extremely short, and the back shaved. I got tired of the style and decided to grow it out. It is growing but i would like to sew in weave so it could grow faster; seeing i would not be putting any chemicals or heat in my own hair. However the back of my hair is still short and i am afraid that the sew in would be an issue. What can i do cause i really don't want any glue in my hair and i would like to get weave that would last a long time.

What should you do if you accidentally cut your hair too short?

I’ll give you an answer from my personal experience. About 6 years ago, whilst cutting my hair (I cut my hear myself), I accidentally cut myself an almost bald patch! Yes of course like anyone else, I panicked! Like my hair which I loved so much was suddenly “ugly”. I was supposed to attend an even that night but I decided to stay in because of my hair. I mean if I don’t “look good” and “feel good”, I will be miserable at the event. I was even more miserable at home since I couldn’t keep my mind off it.Eventually, I got up from watching TV (I did not know what was on as my mind was somewhere else) and I had decided to cut my hair really low so that the patch was less potent.Although in my case, it was not accidental but intentional. Like yourself, I went online to see how I could feel good about my new short hair. Amazingly enough, I found some great supporting materials which helped me rock my short hair and as a matter of fact, I still rock it as of today, 6 years later! So to answer your question, you should rock your hairstyle like a boss and own it! Confidence is not about how you look or what you have or wear. Confidence is about how you carry what you have and how you look and present it to the world. Next time you step out of your comfort zone like your home, step out with the mindset that you are awesome and even more awesome because of your short hair! I guarantee that people will praise your short hair because you have now given them a reason to.Also, many benefits comes with short hair. Benefits such as:1. Looking sexier! People will associate your short hair as confidence because you dared to defy the norm of society and you stepped out of the “ideal” to become unique. Not only is that sexy but respectable!2. You will save money on products! Your purse/wallet becomes so much heavier and you will have spare money. In summary, short hair, long hair, ugly, beautiful, it’s all a myth. Confidence is key! I hope you step out today and rock your short hair and you will begin to see that actually, people love my short hair too.Hope this helps :)If you need some hair cutting scissors, please visit Kovira
