Im Getting Out Of The Army On A 5-17

Im getting chaptered out of the army (5-17) Honorable, will i get to take terminal leave?

im an e-5 with 6 years in, and my packet is waiting for my elimation flag, but everything else is done. my legal NCO said when i go to transition, they will make my orders date the last day of my 44 days worth of accrued leave, im wondering if i will have to sell my leave days, get terminal leave, or just lose them! please help.

I'm getting a chapter 5-17 from the U.S. Army, DO I HAVE TO PAY BACK MY SIGNING BONUS?

You will have to payback the amount of the bonus, that was in your contract agreement that you did not fullfill

Example: if you got a 3k bonus for 3 years and got all the money you would be required to payback 2200.

3 years =3000
3 years= 36 months

3000/3=1000 per year/12= around 83 a month bonus money

83.00 X 10 months = 830

3000-830 = 2170 to be repaid

Good luck to you

Concerning Army Chapter 5-17?

I am getting out of the Army under Chapter 5-17. It's due to depression & a suicide attempt. I don't need criticism for this because it's a lot of things going on with my unit that had me to do these things. First of all I went and got help for my severe depression (like the Army tells you to do when your having problems). My psych gave me anti-depressant pills and I was seeing a counselor once a week. The medicine had crazy side effects (binge-eating at 3am, too much sleep or not enough sleep, vomiting, etc.) I asked my chain of command can they do something with the work schedule until I get off the pills so I can function day-to-day. I got a "no" because basically everybody at my unit is dealing with depression. I did get a profile for 24 hr. duty stating that I would work 16 hrs and sleep the other 8. But once my profile expired I was back on cq duty. So after switching to 4 different pills I got off the pills and my depression got worse (I still had it bad when I was on them) and I re-lapsed and ended up in the hospital for a suicide attempt right before Christmas. Just so you know I have been in the Army for 5 years and 4 months. I have also deployed to Iraq in 2007 and never had bad conduct while I was in the Army - no article 15's etc. Just not cut out with working 60-84 hrs. every week in a non-deployabl unit.
Anyways I'm starting my mental evaluation and physical next week and I need to know how long it would take, also would I have to pay my re-enlistment bonus back and will I get terminal leave.
If you need any information about what happened or other things my email is foxxythang08@hotmail.com.

What is a good time to run 5 miles in?

Ignore all the bragging!Just to run a full 5 miles is an achievement. For a 20yo in good shape, (and I don't mean a regular runner, just not morbidly obese or suffering from any illness,) a time of 40 min or less would be pretty good. In fact, for a non runner of any age, 10 min per mile would be OK as a start point. Keeping that up for 5 will take at least a bit of training. From day one of your running, it would take about 6 weeks, running 3–4 times per week, to knock 25% off your initial time. But you wouldn't start off with the full 5 miles. If you take it seriously, there's no reason why you shouldn't be aiming for a much quicker time. But take your time and get a good training plan or you'll end up injuring yourself.

Help With Army Chapter 5-17?

Involuntary Separation Pay (severance pay) is only if you have 6 or more but less than 20 years of service

And generally if it is involuntary your bonus will not be recouped but you will not get the remainder of the bonus if any.
