Im Going To Ibiza In 2 Weeks With My Mum As A Relaxing Girlie Holiday. What Should I Take

My boyfriend is going on vacation without me?

My boyfriend (30 years old) and I (20 years old) are going on vacation next week to Puerto Rico, he's staying 5 days and I'm staying 10, when he leaves I'm going to stay with my mother and father. He knew I wanted to stay that long since I haven't seen them in a year yet he only booked his for 5 days saying it wasn't worth it to stay 2 weeks. He has another week vacation and next month he wants to go to Domincan republic, or anywhere else. I can't take another week because I just started the job I'm at and he can't take it after. Anyway, I told him that I don't want him to go because he's gonna be all alone in another country free to do whatever. If he was single then id understand but we've already been together a year. He says its not his fault I don't have money to go. This is really bothering me since I know how he is...we have a lot of trust issues but I still think he shouldn't go because now he's in a relationship and not single. Should I be okay with him going?

Italy: Are Italians generally racist against black people?

Yes, Italians in Italy are very racist towards black people from any where around the world. They call black people stupid, monkeys, negretti, and negros. Also, they hate that there are people of african descent who speak English, Spanish or German. They make rude comments and assumptions about anyone who they assume is from Africa. Furthermore, they dont want to acknowledge any black americans (those whose ancestors were slaves) as being Americans or for having ancestry from two or three different continents (which most black americans have european and native american ancestry as well as african). From my experience, living in Italy, I've gathered that they hate all people of African descent. They love American culture, but exclude black Americans from the idea of America. They don't actually see us as being apart of American history…they stereotype the way we think, how we act, how we talk and everything else…and they get all their information from the media. In short, they view us as nationless Africans and they will say it out loud in Italian or in broken English. They also make up stuff too. I read a few articles written by italians about black americans. One article said that 90 something percent of black americans were muslims… which is obviously a lie that Americans would be able to catch. However, an average Italian reader, who does not have prior knowledge of our American history, will assume that that is the truth. Another article stated that there were not any mixed race children that came out of slavery or ever in America …Also, there was an article stating that black Americans were the most aggressive and vicious group. So, black americans deserved to be killed by officers and anyone else. Btw the black lives movement is the only thing besides poverty, crime, hip hop and southern accents/dialects that italians associate black americans with.I keep updating this…I want to give an honest answer, so that people will be aware of what Italians think of specific Americans and other nationalities. I had a genuine love for them from the time I was a little girl. I did not expect to be verbally attacked for my ancestry… and many people could care less if you understand the insults they hurl at you... In other words, if anything, they want you to understand. They just dont care for black people and I dont think they see us as being even human…

How safe is it for a woman to travel alone in India?

Yes, I completely agree that it is safe for a girl to travel alone in India. I have done it myself, and I also know many other female travel bloggers who have travelled alone. You should definitely not wear clothing that draws attention to yourself. Don't wear short skirts and take a headscarf and sunglasses. Always make sure that you know where you are going and avoid walking the streets alone after dark. Have small change with you at all times so that you don't get overcharged or lose your change. There are a lot of scammers and con-artists in India, so completely avoid talking to random people who approach you on the streets. If you're flying into Delhi, this city can be a little overwhelming at first. Tuc-tuc drivers Will take you to their friends restaurant, hotel and travel agency rather than where you want to go! Be firm and assertive and always have a booking. Local travel agents Will probably tell you that the train is Full because they want to put you on over priced bus! Just tell them that your friend already has the tickets and move on. There are lots of touts in the train station. Ignore them and walk straight through to the ticket office or platforms. You will probably need to push your way in when you get to ticket offices and banks. Learn to use your elbow to keep your position! If this is all a little too much, you can always pay someone at your hotel to organise a train ticket for you.Personally, I felt much safer in some of the smaller Holy cities such as Pushcar than in Delhi and Jaipur. In holy or religious places, do not except flowers as gifts from strangers because they will take you to hungry Brahmin who will overcharge you for a Puja. If you do want to do a Puja ceremony, a donation are Rs.40 or Rs.50 should be plenty. They will probably ask you for 500, at which point you can laugh and say 10!One last thing, you will probably get Delhi belly. It is normal to be sick for a few days because of the difference in food and climate. If it doesn't pass after a day or two, your hotel will phone you a Doctor. Drink bottled water and be aware of where you eat, particularly cleanliness when you buy street food.
