Im Having A Small Red Spot On My Left Upper Leg And Its A Type Of Painfull I Dont Know What To Do

I have very tiny little red dots on my arms, especially the left one; is this a symptom of something?

"Petechiae (say "pet-TEA-key-eye") are tiny, flat red or purple spots in the skin or lining of the mouth caused by abnormal bleeding in small blood vessels that have broken close to the skin or the surface of a mucous membrane. Petechiae appear rapidly over hours. * Petechiae spots are from pinpoint- to pinhead-sized. They are different from tiny, flat red spots or birthmarks (hemangiomas) that are present all the time.
* They may spread over a large area of the body.
* They do not itch like many rashes.
* They do not turn white (blanch) when you press on them.

Petechiae that develop quickly over a short period of time (a few hours) may mean the person has a serious infection or lack of blood platelets (part of the body's defense against bleeding) that requires immediate medical treatment.

Many people have tiny, flat red spots (hemangiomas) that are present all the time. If they have been present for a while, these spots are not a concern.

If new red or purple spots develop rapidly over hours, this may indicate a serious condition (such as the blood not clotting normally) requiring immediate medical treatment.

In rare cases, the bite of a brown recluse spider can cause this type of reaction."

What is the painful bump on my upper leg?

I copied and pasted this from dcqna.com, I posted the link under source. It sounds like the same as what you are describing just in a different place. Hope it helps!

"I have a small oval shaped bump on my right mitt it has a black dot within the center. I have have warts formerly but i don't think its a wart because
a) it itches and
b) the treatment i have done for my last wart has made me almost immune to getting them again, so at hand is a slim chance that it is a wart.
The bump is on the heel of my paw. and almost directly parallel to my thumb. Please help me! "

Answers:
"the description of a oval shaped bump beside a black dot in the center points to a sebaceous gland cyst. You shouldn't rub down it, seek medical consult for possible surgical excision. :)
GANGLION CYST."

"Sounds close to a bite, and when it has a black dot, it could be necrosis setting within. Get to doctor or ER and have it looked at. Do you enjoy red streaks coming from it? This sounds like a spider bite, and you involve to get it checked out like lightning."

"sounds like a cyst to me. if it is a cyst, you can freshly wait for it to travel away, or hit it with a board of some sympathetic. I am not kidding. A cyst is a calcium build up, and if you hit it not easy enough, it will disintegrate."

Not sure I agree with the actual advice on hitting it with a board, but at least it might give you an idea of what it could be until you go see the Dr. You could also search for these things and look at images to see if they look similar to what you have.

I have a small bump on my leg, now its painful, red, hot and i can hardly walk now, what is it?

It sounds like there is a cyst under the skin. It needs to be drained and treated. The procedure is called an "I&D" or incision and drainage. Regardless of what caused it, please do not ignore it.

The doctor will numb the area with novocaine, lidocaine or a cream called LMX. Then, a small incision will be made into the center of the cyst, which will cause drainage of the pus inside. Once it has been drained, it will be cleaned thoroughly and some antibiotic strips will be inserted into the incision. Whether or not you will need a suture or two depends on the doctor but mostly, they are left open so that drainage can continue. It will be bandaged with a sterile gauze pad. The doctor will give you instructions for aftercare and tell you when the strips can be removed (they are just gently pulled out with a pair of tweezers...it doesn't hurt...some of the strips are left outside to make grasping easier). The doctor may or may not give you oral antibiotics.

You should have this treated ASAP. If you can't go to your doctor, go to an ER (they are open 24/7). Even though there has been some drainage, it is highly unlikely that it has drained completely. "Slimy and sticky" sounds right on...a cyst is an infection under the skin. Once the cyst has been drained, your pain level will drastically decrease as the pressure is off. It will be sore for a few days but that pain is minimal.

EMT

Make sure you follow your doctor's directions to the letter in order to prevent further infection and to allow the area to heal properly. I hope you feel better.

Hard, red, painful bump on my leg...?

People often describe localized swollen areas on, or under, the skin as lumps or bumps. While bumps on, or under, the skin may result from conditions that give rise to a skin rash, many other conditions can result in solitary raised lumps on the skin. Infections, tumors, and the body's response to trauma or injury can all lead to lumps or bumps that appear to be located on or underneath the skin.

Depending upon the cause of skin lumps or bumps, they may vary in size and be firm or soft to the touch. The overlying skin may be reddened or ulcerated. Skin bumps may or may not be painful or tender, depending upon the cause of the lesions.

Very sore lump on back of leg, very painful,LOOKED LIKE PIMPLE,NOW BIG RASH, HELP!!!?

If it continues to grow very fast then see a doctor very quickly - it MIGHT (maybe, but don't panic, yet...) be a staff type of infection, which can get out of control rapidly. Just be cautious and keep an eye on it.

Also, many folks have had good luck taking Hydrogen Peroxide and using a small container to hold the stuff on the spot for several minutes, If you see fuzzy bubbles that's good...

Of course I am not a doctor - but I would think that applying some Neosporin to it for tonight might be helpful... that is what I would do...

Is it normal to have a painful lump 2 weeks after an injection in the buttocks?

It could be still “normal” 2–4 days after an injection, but it is NOT normal anymore 2 weeks after an injection. Most probably the painful lump is a hematoma which secondarily was infected by some bacteria or the lump is just a syringe abscess filled with pus.You must see a doctor soon. Your doctor should scan the lump with an ultrasound unit, if possible. If the scan shows a cystic structure of the lump, then you know that it is an abscess. If the lump shows as an irregular, massive, anechoic structure, then you know that it is an hematoma. If the structure is rather small, then it makes sense to wait and observe that the body resorbs it. But if it is too big or you get fever, then the doctor must set a 5 mm cut from the skin into the center of the cyst or hematoma with a scalpel and remove the lump through it, because without opening/removal it could cause a life-endangering blood poisoning.

Why is there a small green spot on my upper right thigh? It doesn't hurt and its not sore and causes no pain at all.

If it doesn't rub or wipe off, go to a doctor to have them look at it. A simple biopsy will tell what's wrong unless it's obvious to a trained observer. If there is no other underlying cause obvious (like a previous amputation very near that area) then there is no reason to assume it's the start of gangrene. Did you have at any one time a green or black ink pen in your pocket that may have pierced the skin? You could have given yourself an inadvertent "tattoo". Had one person one time have a fountain pen in their pocket and the cap came off. When the person was knocked against rather hard in a crowed subway, the nib of the pen pierced the first couple layers of the tissue on their leg and the ink gave them a spot which is really nothing different than a tattoo, but this way was given in a very unsanitary and hurtful way.

I have red patches on my lower legs and ankles and in my thigh that look like burns. Everywhere there is a red spot is swollen, it itches then swells and becomes extremely painful. It hurts to walk. What could this be?

Skin problems are notoriously difficult to diagnose without seeing the problem. You could try posting a photo or, better yet, see your doctor
