Im Having So Much Trouble Eating

Why is my rabbit having trouble eating?

I have a pet rabbit who is having trouble eating. I figured his teeth were over grown but we brought him to the vet and everything looked fine. I noticed he gets the food into his mouth chews it but it seems like he has problems swallowing the food. He tilts his head back after he chews it which I'm assuming helps the food go down this throat. He hasn't been eating nearly as much as normal because it takes so much effort for him to eat. I've been helping him by feeding him baby food in a syringe which is happily eats. Has anyone has anything similar happen with their rabbit? What do you think it could be? How can I help him?

I'm having trouble eating over 1300 calories a day because when I eat I feel bloated. Will I be okay if I am not starving myself?

What you are experiencing is actually a typical symptom of under eating and the first stages of loss of functioning. You are consuming a very small amount of calories per day and know that you are burning more than you consume, so you should realize this cannot be sustainable long term. This can become very serious if it continues. The bloating is caused by decreased functioning in your digestive tract, as your digestive enzymes that break down the food become increasingly deficient (hence why you can no longer process dairy), your acid production continues without food to work on, and your food moves more slowly through your intestinal tract improperly digested, thereby.... erm, well, decomposing somewhat inside you and releasing gasses. Your fatigue is tied to this as well, as your body is using most of the little caloric energy you have available trying to process the food, more than it would if your digestive system was functioning normally. You definitely need to see a doctor to monitor and help you recover normal functioning. My suggestion for a start would to begin adding comfortably small amounts of food throughout the day, staying hydrated, and supplementing probiotics to compensate for enzyme deficiency and aid digestion. Try adding more soft foods like soups and juices that take less energy to break down and won’t block your plumbing. Starving your system and then forcing it to process one large amount all at once places more stress on you and slows your metabolism even more, contributing to the imbalance. I hope this helps you.

Help, I'm having trouble eating and sleeping?

Two days ago I found out that our youth pastor at our church lost her job, so she will not be at our church anymore and will probably have to move out of our town. Since then I haven't been able to sleep (I usually fall asleep right away, and sleep for a good eight hours. The past two days it has taken me several hours two fall asleep, and I wake up constantly). I also haven't had much of an apatite, I haven't been hungry for breakfast or dinner, and I've been eating a very light lunch.

The thing is my youth pastor isn't just another person in our church, she's basically family. Our whole youth group is so upset because she's like a second mom to all of us. I'm just worried because it feels like someone died, and I haven't been eating or sleeping.

I want to make sure I'm not depressed or anything, and wanted to know how long until this wears off? (Because I like food&sleep.)

I'm starving, but am having a lot of trouble making myself eat. What are the possible reasons?

You asked,I'm starving, but am having a lot of trouble making myself eat. What are the possible reasons? I don't feel sick at all.Possible explanations, not in any order of priority or relevance:Your sense of starving is not real, physiological hunger. It might instead be sensations arising from other external impositions other than serving energy needs by food consumption, e.g. emotional, psychological or chemically stimulative experiences; and/or,Your body is refusing food because you are in fact ill and/or contending with a health problem even though you don’t feel sick at all. Not all illnesses and disease manifest perceivable symptoms at early stages, but your body already knows what is going on within itself and might be trying to attend to solve such issues early by not eating, i.e. fasting. Fasting when sick is a natural and healthy physiological response to regain health and wellness shared by all mammals. Whether or not you know you are sick is usually irrelevant and unnecessary to trigger the physiological reflex to fast and avoid food; and/or,Something else entirely, which given the vague description of your situation is well beyond anyone to diagnose at a distance.Starving (i.e. having true, physiological hunger) and not being able to eat even though you don’t feel sick at all are generally mutually exclusive experiences. If none of the above apply, then your situation might derive from more psychological influences than actual physiological issues.Best wishes in figuring it out.

My ball python is having trouble eating a too big mouse...HELP!?

We just recently bought a ball python, we've had it for a month. We started by feeding it a fuzzy, but latley it has been hungry afterwards. Last week, we asked the pet guy and he told us to feed it an adult mouse. When we went to the freezer and touched it, we found that it was very large. So we bought two fuzzys. This week, we went again and after asking AGAIN we got an adult mouse. The thing is, we just fed it and, it's having trouble swallowing. It is rather large (A bit wider than the widest part of the snake) and we don't know what to do...
Should we just put him away and feed it next week?

I'am having trouble feeding my Betta fish?

Maybe he is full as their stomach is small and with poor digestion. So what about fast your fish for a few days to let his stomach rest or maybe try others food? Don't worry, it wouldn't hurt your fish cos' they can stay without food for up to the longest, two week but don't try it for that long cos' it will weaken your fish too. Eating and spitting out food is just to soften them cos' they have no teeth. But if he can't even swallow means that maybe he got mouth ucler. You can try some Pelafix cos' this heals the interal wound.

I'm having some trouble getting my Cockatiel to eat fruits & veggies ?

So, I've had my Cockatiel, Piper, for about two to three weeks now.. She's friendly, cuddly, and as personable as it gets. She's out of her cage ninety percent of the day, and is only put away when we need to go somewhere or when it's time to go to bed. She's always supervised, by the way. I'm no dummy. :]

My question is.. she eats Cockatiel formula food that has seeds, etc, whatnot in it, has cuttlefish (the flaky, oval-shaped block of.. hard-to-describe stuff that you hang in their cage?), and LOOOVES millet.. she'll eat apples occasionally, loves potatoes, loves pasta, loves bread.. but I can't get her to eat any fruits or vegetables ! I just offered her a grape, but she refused it. She doesn't even try it ! She's two years old, by the way, so I don't know if her young age plays a part in it or not. How do I go about getting her to eat, or at least try, new fruits and veggies ?

I’m having trouble eating and sleeping due to worsening emotional problems. I’ve lost too much weight and sleep less than 3 hours a night. How can I improve my overall health, considering my current weakened and troubled mental state?

Consider getting professional help. Medication, and outpatient or inpatient therapy may be a big help. It’s also a good idea to get a complete physical to rule out any medical cause for your symptoms, like thyroid, hormonal, or nutritional deficiencies. Be sure to get sunshine, eat healthy best you can, and try to get enough sleep each day while you recover, then continue healthy practices when are better to keep the gains you’ve made. Avoid drugs and alcohol.

I am hardly ever hungry and having trouble making myself eat. At what point should I see a doctor?

Seek competent professional medical help to make sure that there is nothing seriously wrong.  I've gone through periods in my life when I felt that way.  Drinking enough water is always a challenge.  I carry a bottle with me everywhere.  If there is color in your water, then I recommend drinking water.  It's a simple formula to make sure that you are always sufficiently hydrated.  As far as food goes, you may want to consider developing the simple habit of eating some fruits and vegetables at specific times of the day.  Eating at regular times of the day helps your body by giving it cues so that it can prepare to eat and enjoy food.  Your salivary glands begin to flow, your digestive juices get warmed up to begin digesting your food.  For example I wake up and have a nice fruit smoothie in the morning. It gives me plenty of protein, fiber and other nutrients and it's great for digestive health.  At night I try to make sure and at least have a bowl of some carrots or beans with a little salt and butter.  Eating food with fiber, like fruits and vegetables, helps to keep the digestion moving and healthy.  Fiber in the digestion helps to carry toxins like uric acid out of the body, while toning the muscles of the digestive tract.
