Why do people care about racism so much?

I’m a “ghetto person.” I’m also white.It’s not something I’ve mentioned often, simply because I have no reason to do so. I don’t like talking about it, and I don’t need to where I live. I used to talk “ghetto.” I still do, in a lot of my community. I don’t have the flashiest house. I’ve been exposed to drugs and gangs from an early age. I still have large gaps in my education that I’m working to get back.The only difference is I was born white. I’m serious. I’m smart, I am, and I’d be in a helluva worse place if I wasn’t, but I know a lot of smart people going nowhere here. I’m white. I might have a future.So, would you dislike me if you met me? Probably not on sight. I wear nondescript clothing, baggy hoodies and sweats. I know how to talk white, eat white, act white. I know all the models of the phones I’ll never have.Would you dislike me if you knew where I was from? If I saw some typical “ghetto person” and said “Yo, shit, man, wassup.” and pulled them in to a dap? What if they were white?One thing that I’ve noticed is when I’m out in a larger white middle class community, I garner sympathy. They see a poor white kid. When I’m out with my friends, they see a poor white kid and troublemakers.I’m guessing you see that, too.I understand where you’re coming from, in a sense. Ghettos have “not nice” written all over them, and I’d be surprised if a single person here didn’t know a way to get drugs, other than me of course, because I’m white and innocent until proven guilty, and there’s no way I could increment myself online. The schools suck, the neighborhoods suck, the policeI mean, actually, the police aren’t that bad. Most of them are black or brown and not inclined to report an illegal immigrant or shoot an unarmed black person. Upside.And frankly, that’s how I see your life, dear OP. Original question: Why don't we talk to white people about racismI don't mind talking to white people about racism, provided that they actually will listen to what I have to say. I don't mind answering questions from white people about racism, provided that they they actually care about the answersI don't mind having debates with white people about racism, provided they intend on learning from the discussion and not just teaching me about what racism really is. I don't mind pointing out major incidents to white people that are racist in nature, provided they don't just plan on sticking their head in the sand when I attempt to show them. I don't mind any of these things. As long as the person I'm talking to actually gives a damn and doesn't just want to stick with the status quo that has benefited them for centuries.

No, it’s not racist. Although most will consider this as such. Those who do will make the same mistake that you are doing.It’s an illogical, irrational thing. That’s the mistake you’d be making including folks who’d consider you as a racist.It’s improbable that of so many Indians you would not like any. Unless you are misanthrope proper (in which case disliking Indians is irrelevant). In-fact it’s more likely you would, at-least like some, once you remove your blinkers (or blanket?). Also, dislike is not the same as hate, at all. So, it isn’t racist.Also, it isn’t possible to dislike a whole group without even interacting or living with them. Because, you can dislike a lot of trends, cultural strands and varieties which you only come to know once you spend time in the culture. This presumes you also filter out the likes from this culture.So, it isn’t racist but it’s stupid.
