We do one phone conversation in English and one in Italian and we have been friends for over a month. We see each other online with Skype almost every day, though we don't have time to chat every day. You do know about skype, I hope.

Can I speak with native English speakers online?

I searched Google to see how you could speak with English speakers and I found this website that I have below. However, they charge a fee for the program. You should look around on the internet like Google for keywords like "online" "English speakers" and such.
I don't know what your native language is, but I'm sure there are other ways of talking to English speakers. Maybe even in person in your town.

Good luck :)

How would a non-native English speaker keep on improving his spoken English in a country where no one speaks that language in a daily basis?

This question is true of my country where few people speak English as wherever you go from the north to the south, you can communicate with anyone only in Japanese.  I teach English at school every day, and an American teacher, who is an assistant of English teacher, is always in school to team-teach with the Japanese English teacher.  So I’m lucky enough to talk with him everyday.  But these days even without the help of a native speaker of English, we can find tons of materials to help us improve our spoken English.  When visiting large bookstores, you can see plenty of books with CDs to help speak English.  There are more of those materials in the internet world like you can talk with a native speakers using skype.  When there were not those materials long time ago, the only opportunities to speak English is to find people from foreing countries and make friends with them.  That was really hard.  Of course, the number of the people who have a good command of English has been increasing in my country, but still there are not so many opportunities that they can use it in their dialy life.  As an English teacher, I’m determined to make efforts to help my students use and speak English a lot outside classrooms as well as inside of them.

How do I talk like a native English speaker?

If you want to be able to talk like a native English speaker you need to realize that it will take time, practice and investing in educational material. First of all you need to make learning how to speak English like a native speaker your priority. You need to set aside time each day to practice and focus on your work. You should consider starting a journal where you write down times that you want to set aside for practicing and new words that you have learned. In order to talk like a native English speaker you need to have enough vocabulary to construct basic sentences and phrases. It is important to focus on the most common words and phrases so that you are as straightforward as possible when communicating.Once you have learned the most common words and phrases you need to make sure that you set aside enough time to practice them every day. One technique for this is to make flash cards with the word on the one side and its definition on the other side. Try make sure that you go through your flash cards in the morning when you wake up and again before you go to sleep. You could also make lists of words and their definitions and place the list somewhere where you’ll see it and read it every day. For example, you could place the list on your refrigerator. This way whenever you go to get food you would see it and read it. It is important that whenever you read your lists or your flashcards that you read them aloud. This will help your tongue get used to the words and eventually they will become muscle memory.Another important thing to do is to listen to the English spoken around you. Whether it is on TV or in person try and take note of how different people pronounce different words. Listening carefully will also help with your understanding and help you pick up when to correctly use certain phrases.Aside from these tips I would suggest investing in educational material such as e-books and audio books. These resources will provide you with all the necessary skills and techniques needed to master pronunciation and the English language. I would suggest starting by reading Native English by Juan Vargas as I found it especially helpful. It includes all the vocabulary and techniques one would need to sound like a native English speaker.

How to ask for a skype interview? (I'm not a native english speaker)?

Did they realize when they asked for an interview that you lived in a different country?

I would ask HR if it is a policy to help with travel for interviews; amazon offered to help pay travel expenses for a job interview that my husband did last week.

Dear Ms. Smith,

Thanks for your invitation to travel to Seattle for a job interview, I live in India. I realize that Amazon pays travel expenses to defray costs to potential employees so they know they get the best and brightest from around the world. Is it your company policy to help applicants with travel expenses? If not, perhaps we can arrange a Skype interview at your convenience?
I am looking forward to a scheduling meeting with you soon.

Sincerely,
your name

I know English as a native speaker. Should I get CELTA or the TEFL certificate in order to teach English abroad? What are the pros and cons, costs, job possibilities, etc.?

Just because you’re a native English speaker, doesn’t mean you’ll be good at teaching English. That’s why you should definitely take a TEFL/TESOL course. Many countries even require teachers to possess a TEFL/TESOL certification otherwise you can’t even get a work visa. Here’s how to get started:#1 Get TEFL CertifiedA TEFL or TESOL certification is the first step towards a successful teaching career. If you possess a TEFL/TESOL qualification, your employer knows that you are qualified to teach and know what you are talking about. At the same time, the employer can be sure that you are serious about teaching and aren’t only looking for a fun time abroad.I taught English in China and South Korea and took my TEFL with International TEFL and TESOL Training (ITTT). I recommend their 120-hour online course as most employers worldwide require their teachers to possess a certificate of at least 100 hours of study. The course also comes with tutor support and videos and you’ll have access to thousands of job offers worldwide after graduating. If you’re interested, you can get a 20% discount through this link.#2 SpecializationsWhile your basic 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate is the first step towards your ESL adventure abroad, you should consider adding specialized qualifications onto it. The reason for this is that the competition for well-paid positions in competitive teaching regions is incredibly high. That’s why I took the 50-hour teaching English to young learners certificate and the 50-hour teaching Business English courses from ITTT as well.#3 Apply to multiple schoolsOnce you have passed your course and have your certificate in hand, you can start applying. Be sure to apply to as many job offers as possible to be able to choose the best ones once they offer you a job. Also make sure that you look professional during the interview, e.g. dress up for a Skype interview and do research about the region and school if possible.#4 Be flexibleBeing flexible will get you a long way in the world of teaching English abroad. That means, get your paperwork and passport ready to be able to start a job as early as next month. At the same time, don’t be set on a particular city or country but branch out and be open to other opportunities.Have fun teaching abroad!

How can I find a native English speaker to chat with me online?

You do not need one.Use Merriam Webster online Dictionary and Thesaurus, which has an audio providing the pronunciation also.Listening well and reading intently are the first steps in good oral and written communication.Build your knowledge of grammar (Wren & Martin), syntax, vocabulary and so on.Before you use a particular word, say beautiful, check the online thesaurus for synonyms and use the most appropriate word.Vocabulary is built brick by brick. So learning one new word leads to learning many others. Check the exact meaning of every new word from the dictionary, instead of trying to guess the meaning from its context.Read a lot of good authors. Listen to a lot of good speakers. Yet, in either case, develop your own unique style.Write short speeches, memorize them, internalise them and deliver them before the mirror or a better speaker than you. Practice makes perfect. Join a local Toastmasters Club or other public speaking club.‘Standing Ovation -Fifteen speeches to steer the budding orator’ by Sterling Publishers on Amazon will be a great help.
