Im Scared. I Got A Modeling Contract And I Have To Drop Highschool. Im Only 16

I want to be an actor after high school, but my parents want me to choose a course which guarantees a fixed salary. What should I do?

Get your degree. It's a regret that I have been forced to live with my whole adult life. Please, get your degree. You can take acting courses at college. You can take part in college or local theater. But the best advice I can give you is to attain a degree in something that you can fall back on. By the time you graduate, you'll still be young (even if you don't think 22-23 is young, it is) and can have a go at an acting career. Acting is difficult, in regards to making a true career out of it. Very difficult. And while I would love to say, "You can accomplish anything you put your mind to," the fact is that just isn't always true, especially in regards to a successful acting career (or as a director, producer, writer, etc.). It takes a lot of luck, timing, chance, etc. There are literally thousands upon thousands trying to do the same thing you would be trying to do. So please trust me. Get that degree that could afford you a fruitful and satisfying career if acting doesn't pan out. Your own self 20 years from now may thank your parents and myself for that little nugget of guidance.Best of luck!

Should a 13 year old boy run away to Hollywood?

So i know this kid who always talks about becoming a great actor. He is 13 going to be 14 in August. He told me he is planning on running away to Hollywood to fufill his dream as an actor. He has $5,000 in cash (not stolen, no stolen credits cards or anything,no fake i.d.) He said he hates his parents , his dad is always yelling at him and insulting him and threatening to kick him out or put him in a foster home(hits him too)..and his mom doesnt take him seriously, like he told her he wanted to become an actor and she just laughed in his face(bad mom also) So he has no family to lose if he runs away(only child, too) Do you think he will make it? Will he get into trouble with the cops or something? The reason i am asking is because he's my friend and im worried what will happen to him. And for all the people who say u have to finish high school to be an actor/actress i say bullshit! do u know how many kid actors are out there? Like dakota fanning, cole & dylan sprouse, and kristen stewart started acting at a young age...so why not him?

Why do all hot people have no personality?

It never surprises me that every hot girl or guy I meet has zero personality.

They all have this "poise" - a quiet snobbery about them.
The only reliable traits are they are:
stuck up
self-centered
unfaithful
non-commital/run away from human warmth

and they're NOT:
warm/kind/caring
generous/interested in others
enthusiastic(unless it's about themselves)

In fact, the only time any enthusiasm comes out is when they're drunk or stoned.

Do they think they're such a catch that they make/expect the other person to make the first move and all the moves?

Do they ever feel lonely?

Do they ever NOT get people interested in them or sex?

What is your experience with hot people?
Very curious to find out!!!

Why I became a "Michael Jordan REALIST" instead of a Jordan Jocker?

Michael Jordan is OVERHYPED but not OVERRATED except in rare circumstances.

Like when Jordan jockers say that he, a guy who ONLY won 5 MVP's and 6 rings in 15yrs, is greater than a guy who won 5 MVP's and 11 rings in 13 years.

Deconstructing Jordan:

Unlike Bill Russell who is a civil rights activist, Jordan distanced himself from controversial issues. Unlike Chris Webber who quarreled with Nike on the company's sweat shop issues and inflated prices, Jordan did NOTHING. Is this really the kind of role model you'd want?

"If [sports stars] can sell these wares with the power of their personas, they also can sell civic responsibility with the power of their personas."

Jordan's little gambling addiction:

Mind you, Pete Rose ain't going into the Baseball Hall of Fame because of his gambling problems.

Chances of my baby being healthy???? Please help?

Yeah I already asked but I'm stressed so give me a break~

I'm not asking you to judge my decisions in life so don't bother answering if that's what you're going to do...Abortion and adoption are not and option so don't bother with that either so my question what are the chances of both of us surviving? Mainly the baby's chances of surviving and being healthy I know it will probably effect me but im more concerned about the baby...will my age effect the baby's chance of surviving? And the babys health? I don't smoke or do drugs never have never will and I don't drink and don't plan on drinking until I'm much older so none of that will effect the baby....also the father (he was 15 when it happened and is now 16) will be staying in the babys life no matter what happens between us...hes a good guy and he'll make an awesome father if i have to have a baby so young im glad hes the father ..I'm homeschooled so education won't be an issue until college...that being said do you think we (the father and i) could get a good job and be able to support the baby obviously not now but when were older ....all that aside the babys life....my mom had me when she was 16 and I get teased for that all the time...so this child...? thats probably my biggest concern the baby having to go through life with a mom who was pregnant at 13...i feel terrible anout that...I don't know if any of this makes sense but I'm pretty stressed (obviously ) so any help would be great...thx oh and both of our parents know
