Why don't Americans take off their shoes when entering a house?
Many of us do, but it’s normal for Americans not to take off their shoes.I never thought of why they wouldn’t, but I figure number one has to be that the floor isn’t very clean. If it is clean then it’s probably because they have a cleaning service or maid.We take off our shoes in our home, and anyone who comes in our home must take theirs off too, except for delivery and repair people for example.Some Americans get offended if you tell them they must take off their shoes, or they act snobby as if only ‘peasants’ take off their shoes in the house.Another reason could simply be due to our short history. The Americas were only settled by non-natives a few hundred years ago, and even today It’s a vastly rural part of the world. Not so long ago, and I wouldn’t be surprised to find so now, many people had dirt for floors or their flooring was so basic and close to the ground that you might be inclined to keep your shoes on just to keep your feet clean.I stayed in an Airbnb for a couple of months where the house rule was no shoes inside. My feet got so black with grime in that place that I always had to wash them before putting on my shoes and going out. In that situation, I certainly would have rather kept my shoes on. So one reason is bad housekeeping.

to be fair most people just stand near by and just stare, then one of the group will run over, the cameras flash then they run off, once the rest have seen it is safe to come over then your have a que of people come over have a photo then walk off, the vast majority of people are fine they just want to stand next to you and have there moment with you however some of the things people do has to be seen to be believed!!! certainly there have been times were your kissed, cuddled and generally mauled by members of the public, this is mainly when you on guard in a quiet area, you get an idea something is going to happen because your hear whispering and giggling near by, people have flashed, booty grind up against you, wrapped their legs around you, tried to kiss you, steal bits of your uniform, (the bearskin being the favourite or medals) men will come up and pretend they are going to punch you, or stand next to you for a photo and try and lean into you and push you over, sometimes things can get a bit out of hand, drunks are a problem, you also have people with mental heartily issues who can be a bit unpredictable, guards have been spat on and people have tried to assaulted them before. one time someone even attacked a horse guard with a 18in machete and tried to slash the horse, the guard had to protect the horse with his foot, and deliberately took the blows onto his leg, (he wasn't badly hurt as he had his thigh high leather riding boots on) this was on horse guards parade, in central london in front of hundreds of people, the man was quickly subdued by guardsmen and police. the horse had a few shallow cuts and the trooper needed hospital treatment i was a guard for a long time, it is fine for people to touch us, we can not stop you, if your too silly about what your trying to do we either march away or the police (who are all around) will come and arrest you, we will not threaten you or attack you for doing so, we won't speak to you or touch you back, if we don't like it we simply march away, that said, no guardsman will be upset at getting a kiss from a pretty girl!!!
Why there are negative conflicts between muslims and christians in the religion and spirituality category?
I do not argue, I simply state my opinions, never to be meant as rude. Some people are not as open minded, enlightened, educated, etc. On an aside though, do not expect a Christian to respond well to the term "infidel."
