Immigration Law Regarding Foreigner Who Gives Birth In America

Immigration question regarding birth certificates?

We went through a similar thing, my wife's birth certificate had the wrong middle name on her birth certificate. It took us about 8 months to fix it but it didn't cost us that much money. It was just a lot of work gathering document and getting sworn affidavit. My wife spent a lot of time in Manila government offices trying to get it fixed. Does she have her baptismal records and if she does by any chance does it state her sexual orientation there? With a lot of work and time you can get it fixed. good luck to you

If an American women gives birth in a foreign country is the newborn child automatically American?

The 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees citizenship at birth to almost all individuals born in the United States or in U.S. jurisdictions, according to the principle of jus soli. Certain individuals born in the United States, such as children of foreign heads of state or children of foreign diplomats, do not obtain U.S. citizenship under jus soli.

Certain individuals born outside of the United States are born citizens because of their parents, according to the principle of jus sanguinis (which holds that the country of citizenship of a child is the same as that of his / her parents). The U.S. Congress is responsible for enacting laws that determine how citizenship is conveyed by a U.S. citizen parent or parents according to the principle of jus sanguinis. These laws are contained in the Immigration and Nationality Act.

In addition, Each year, many people adopt children from outside the U.S. The Child Citizenship Act of 2000 (CCA) grants those children the ability to automatically become U.S. citizens when they immigrate to the United States.

What Happens If You're a Foreigner and Give Birth in Sweden, The Father of Which is a Swede?

If you are married to child's father, then apply for residency permit. Child can only take father's nationality if you both are married, otherwise he/she will automatically take your nationality (citizenship).

You can claim child's swedish citizenship (if u are not married to child's father) only if father fills in special forms & legally declare in court that he is father of child & signs the maintenance certificate (sometimes court asks for DNA test, on expense of requester, to clear ambiguity). Keep in mind this procedure is not obligatory for father, its voluntary.

Update:
On Medical grounds, they can never kick you out, if u get a doctors note/certificate that u are unfit for travel, you are all set to stay & give birth.
====================
Update 2:

I can understand your frustration, believe me its not that bad as it seems, please please please, since you are married to a Swede citizen, get urself medically insured (if u already haven't done so), grab your passports (both of you) insurance card & his last two or three monthly salary slips, your marriage certificate (translated in Swedish, if required translation) & walk into foreign police office (immigration office). They will help you there & then. You never know you may walk out with a one year (duration) settlement visa. Please give it a try.

Question regarding American/English dual citizenship: Born at a Royal Air Force Base with American Parents..?

I was born in a Royal Air Force Base (RAFB Lakenheath) to American parents. (My birth certificate is entirely English, and makes no mention of anything "American") When I was younger they told me that would have dual citizenship, or decide to be one or they other once I became 18. I never received any paperwork regarding it, and I am now 25. My question is, can I still have dual citizenship?? I'm interested in visiting and potentially re-locating to Europe. This would be very useful; especially if I get into a Master's Program abroad. Any information would be appreciated!
