There are no ethical -facts-.  There are no  moral -facts-  so an ethical or moral standard  is not appropriate in a biological context.I have been informed this question is really about memory.  As memory goes, elephants have better long term memories  than primates.  We, like all primates,  are made for action and taking advantage of whatever is at hand.  We are good at that.  Humans are the best throwers among the primates and our cooling system is so efficient that we are the best long term walkers and joggers among the primates (the advantages of having little body hair).  We are nowhere near the fastest but we can walk any animal on the planet to death.;
