In Minecraft How Come My Minecart Slows Down Really Fast

Will minecraft in browser slow down my computer?

The best way is to download Ccleaner here http://bitly.com/UrALrK

Or you can go on Windows operating system locate the command prompt and go there to do the following:
Create a Recovery file of system and date it today.

Then begin by;
delete the 'Temp' folders..they have hidden subfolders so you need to set the attributes in order to bypass this. For each subfolder delete all cookies and rubbish left behnd after install-uninstalled programs. Do a 'dir' command to check your progress. Make sure the 'Temp' file is empty.

goto c:\windows\prefetch and delete everything in there..no exceptions

goto c:\windows folder and delete all the '$' files that have been installed by updates. They can all be succesfully deleted and just take up disk space.

Locate the Internet Temporary Files..Check to see how high the saving level is..some have it set at 30 days..but that stores faaaar tooo much data..though it slows down the system overal. Keep this to a minimum..suggest 2 or 5 at most.

Delete all 'cookies' all those you don't need.

Locate the windows directory and go through the folders you know and those you don't need. Check this once a week at least. Some programs will install under XP as NT and older systems where there is no check of systems weight.

Check to see that system files have not changed since last booting. Things like .ini files or .bat are important items.

Check for 'Hidden Directories' all over the disk...do this at the command prompt:

dir *.* /ah wil show these hidden directories

Check the 'dir' command for all parameters

Nether travel is my favorite. You can do this with or without carts but it’s significantly faster than anything else. The nether is exactly 8X smaller than the over world. For every 8 blocks in the world, that’s just 1 in the nether. So what my server always does is makes a train station in the nether. Then make a ladder up as far as you can go. That way you can go outward without fear of falling (for the most part). So we have one portal in our town to get to the nether, we go up the ladder, ride a cart (or you can just walk) a ways, and enter another portal. Then a portal on the world is created corresponding to where you are in the nether.Say you plop your portal at the coordinates 0,0. In both the nether and world, you’re at 0,0. But in the nether, ride that cart to…. say…. -100,0. Just 100 blocks, right? Leaving the nether through a portal at -100,0 brings you to the main world at -800,0.So pretty much, traveling in the nether is 8x more efficient than on the world.Tutorials/Nether hub

Does Minecraft Slow Down Your Computer?

It shouldn't have any negative effect at all as long as you're not playing it. As soon as you quit the game, Minecraft will stop using your computer's memory (RAM), and so it won't be any slower. The only reason it could make it slower is if your Hard Drive is nearly full. To see how much space you have left, go to Start, Computer, and your hard drives are listed there. If the hard drives get full, they start to run slower.

In short, no, downloading Minecraft won't make your computer slower. Just make sure you quit the game when you're done and it will be fine.

Why is my Minecraft Mouse moving slowly?

I have a very fast HP 8560w laptop, purchased new this year. 32GB RAM, SSD hard drives, Core i7 proc, and an ATI FirePro video card. This is a machine that is quite capable of running Minecraft. I have been running Minecraft for months now with no issues.

All of a sudden, tonight, when my son was playing with Minecraft, the screen view in Minecraft started moving very slowly when he would move the mouse. This was the first time it happened, so my guess is that he accidentally hit a control key some where which caused the mouse to move slowly.

Does anyone know how to fix this? All of the other answers on Yahoo for this issue were lame - the people who answered accused the posters of having old, crap computers. That's not the case for me and many others who have posted their specs as well.

What gives?

How do I make Minecraft run faster?

Maybe you could try this
1. Go to Control Panel
2. Find the JAVA icon, and click on it
3. Java Control Panel will open and you'll find 5 or more tabs, select Java tab
4.- Push the "View..." button for Configure Java Runtime Environment.
5 .- Here is the trick, java uses only 256 mb of memory for his own purposes, and Minecraft needs more than that.

See how much ram you have and increase java's memory usage as this:

Guru's says that you can let java use the third of your total installed memory, for me its easy as I only have 3gb of installed ram on my computer, so i'm gonna let java deal with 1024 mb of ram (1 Gig) how?

add this command in your Runtime Parameters on each entry that you have in this list.

-Xmx1024m

as shown above no spaces with the minus symbol at the beginning and an "m" at the end.

in the above example, 1024 is the amount of memory that java will use, you can try 512 for small machines or 2048 for big ones.
