In Simple Words Why Are We Fighting Isis

Why are we so against Russia fighting ISIS in Syria?

Russia plays chess with people's lives... obviously more important to humiliate USA and be cynically amused by America's failures in Afghanistan, Iraq, & Syria. None of the problems in Syria would have happened if Russia supported Assad by not letting terrorist/rebels infiltrate the country. Now we are supposed to say: "Well done Russia... you are going to solve the problem."

It is to be hoped that their opponents do not get hold of sophisticated air-defence systems or it will be 1980 Afghanistan all over again.

Does Jordan have an army? Are they fighting ISIS?

Jordan has an army and are fighting ISIS. Many of Jordan’s functions against ISIS aren’t stated in the media because much of it is Intelligence. Jordanian Intelligence has infiltrafed ISIS and are a main source of providing air strike coordinates to coalition planes.this was was made public a few months ago:Intel Trump gave Russians came from Jordan, not Israel – report

Should I join the fight against ISIS by joining the Kurds?

If you want to join the YPG...The Lions Of Rojava - This is their official page for requirement. They want specially skilled persons, either military, or not, they can train non-military but you need some sort of heartiness, survival skills, medical skills, mechanical skills, etc. Important if you don't have combat training, is motivation and patience, a lot of the guys they will be working with speak "okay" English, don't expect to go commando. They prefer you to be a single non-parent. But will still take you if your attached. If you don't fit these kind of qualifications, then please, don't message them. They have limited numbers of people who can respond to messages, and they are devoting men and women away from other jobs to answer them. Another point, some of the YPG have brought up (plenty of them on Facebook) most of the Kurdish fighters are secular socialists, and some people have defected to other units due to this. Last point, the first westerner was recently killed fighting for the YPG. Its not call of duty, several have been wounded in combat before. Make sure your ready before you contact them.

Are liberals worse than ISIS, should we fight them instead?

Obviously Hollywood, the liberal media, and universities are way more of a threat than ISIS. We should be sending boots on the ground in Hollywood, at UCLA, and at the MSNBC headquarters instead of in Iraq.

Should the U.S. send ground troops to fight ISIS?

Would you say yes or no? In Iraq, ISIS is already fighting the Kurds and the Shiite led Iraqi forces and Iran has sent in troops in Iraq to side with the Shiites in Iraq against ISIS, In Syria there is Bashar Assads military forces fighting ISIS. and the Syrian rebels linked to Al Qaeda fighting both Assads military and ISIS. And Russia is already giving weapons to the governments in Iraq and Syria to fight ISIS. Since our enemies are fighting each other in the Middle East, should we send ground troops? or should we just stay out of it and let our enemies kill each other?

Should the U.S. send boots on ground to fight ISIS?

What you fail to understand is America has been encouraging the creation of ISIS from the get-go. Iraq and Libya were smashed to rubble, their governments usurped and absolutely nothing practical put in their place, this a deliberate choice of the USA, who had every opportunity to make deals with the armies of both countries. Instead, they left hundreds of thousands of trained soldiers in rubble-heap countries with no paychecks, their only real option to join whatever militia offers them a bit of cash. Islamic extremist militias then buy up all these soldiers, and are paid by the USA to give Syria, a secular nation at war with radical Islam, an extremely hard time. For years America pays these Syrian 'rebels' to cause chaos in the country, then tries to turn around and blame that chaos on the Syrian government, insisting the Syrian government must be removed. The American people don't buy that however, and are adamantly opposed to war on Syria, and so that goes on the backburner a short while.

Then along comes ISIS, and suddenly those Syrian 'rebels' we've been paying to tear up that country are evil terrorists who must be stopped. They build the media up into a frenzy over 'ISIS', comprised of the same people America was slipping fat bills too a few months prior, and decide the only solution to combating ISIS is to bomb the hell out Syria, starting with oil-fields and Gas plants, surprise-surprise. After a few months of that, Obama 'reluctantly' confesses that the bombings aren't doing the trick, and the only thing that will work, nonsense of all nonsense, is removing the Syrian government from power, who've been fighting these guys this whole time.

Its all doublespeak and manipulation. The media has done a number on you if you think more middle-eastern ground-invasions lasting years is the way to go.

Is there any way an individual person can help to fight ISIS?

Yes. Here are a few ways a person can help:Call them Da'esh from now on. Words matter in ‘ISIS’ war, so use ‘Daesh’ - The Boston Globe, Decoding Daesh: Why is the new name for ISIS so hard to understand?Welcome refugees with kindness and generosity, and not distrust. The exodus of refugees proves that Da'esh is making things worse and not better for the people in the areas they control. Giving aid and shelter to the refugees undermines everything Da'esh stands for, and demonstrates that we are compassionate and civilized; everything Da'esh wants its followers to believe we are not. 6 Reasons to Welcome Syrian Refugees After ParisRefuse to give in to fear. Terrorism only works if it makes you afraid. Be cautious, be vigilant, but keep calm and carry on, and show kindness and respect to all your neighbors. Success, as they say, is the sweetest revenge. Australia Just Showed the World Exactly How to Respond to Terrorism         Terrorism in Paris: New Neuroscience Tells Us How to Respond**Edit: OP is not pleased with my answer and wants some more proactive ways to help, so I suggested the following:If you are in the United States and have information about terrorist activity you can submit it to the FBI here: Tips and Public LeadsIf you are dead set on taking the fight to the enemy and you meet all the qualifications for enlistment you might consider FOREIGN LEGION RECRUITMENT WEBSITEIf you are in the conflict area and want to help the effort I highly recommend Jon Davis' answer to How can we deal with air raids? We are depressed. We don't have radars, we don't have civil defense sirens, or good shelters. Is there any solution?

Why don't we send supermax prisoners to go fight ISIS?

I'm talking about the very worst prisoners in the US. The serial killers and mass murderers and so on. Why not send them to Iraq and Syria and have them fight ISIS? Just use them as cannon fodder. We can have these two groups of despicable people killing each other. Whats the downside? The prisoners are probably as bad if not worse than ISIS so its not like we should feel any sympathy for them. Revoke their citizenship so we don't have to treat them as fellow americans.

How will we fight ISIS if they are in the United States? The FBI can not be everywhere.

If ISIS were in the United States, we wouldn’t need to have FBI Special Agents everywhere. We’d combat them through classic counterterrorism procedures like gathering intelligence from foreign sources, tracking suspicious financial activity, examining the most likely targets for terrorist attack, domestic surveillance of suspected individuals, etc.The FBI is incredibly good at their jobs, and their operating procedures make them well-suited for long, drawn-out, comprehensive investigations. In a fight against domestic terrorism, working smarter will be the key.
