Why isn't Destiel (from Supernatural) canon yet?
Because Dean’s not gay/bi. I really hate Destiel, mostly because it’s mostly speculation and seeing more than what’s really there. Dean has said multiple times that Cass is like family and even told him he saw him like a brother a season or two ago, actually..I think Dean’s said it more than once.“That you are like a brother to me.”So..Cass is like a brother to Dean but he’s suppose to be a romantic interest? Nah, not buying it. I’d have to agree with Brianna about the ratings drop if Destiel were to somehow become canon.I for one would quit watching if it became canon. I just don’t see the romance that Destiel shippers try to proclaim and as mentioned with the brother comment, there’s more evidence that they’re just close friends and more of a brotherly relationship than romantic. Besides, catering to shippers is how shows start to suck, especially the CW’s. Arrow for example has declined quite a lot in quality since it started catering to the Olicity shippers. Destiel isn’t canon because Destiel has never been a thing, it’s just been a bunch of fans reading too much into their interactions and queerbaiting.Dean and Cass are no more a thing than Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes are. Quite frankly I wish they’d stop with the alluding nonsense. Supernatural started off as a cool horror based show with two brothers fighting the monsters of the night and the paranormal, but this shipping nonsense is the opposite direction that SPN needs to go in. Besides, Dean has never shown romantic interest in men before so for him to all of a sudden be head over heels for Cass makes little to no sense.The only ones who want Destiel to be canon are a bunch of crazy teeny bopper females who have no respect for the characters and think their fanfiction needs to be canon. Olicity, Kastle, Destiel, and so on..these shippers seem to be all the same, can’t accept that their ships either need to stay in non-canon fanfiction or that they need to be ended because they are not what the show needs or is going to alienate their fanbase.Speaking of Olicity, Arrow’s fanbase has become incredibly toxic and obnoxious since catering to the Olicity shippers. Say one negative thing about Felicity and you can expect them to throw a hissy fit over it. I’d have to see Supernatural become that kind of environment too if Destiel ever became canon.

English is a wonderfully rich language with a massive vocabulary, but sometimes you run into a situation where an existing English word won’t do. As such, people will try something new.I reviewed all the new dictionary words for 2018 and they tend to fall into these categories:Taking an existing English verb or noun and making a new part of speech with it. That’s how we got “prioritize” from “priority” because “make a list of priorities” didn’t have the same ring to it. Purists hate this approach (‘Priority’ is a noun, you can’t make it a verb!). In 2018, “Predictive” was added to the dictionary because it has entered common use to replace “that makes predictions” turning a noun into an adjective.Portmanteaus - taking two perfectly fine English words and mashing them together. Instead of “Biological Technology” we now have “biotech”. Two added in 2018 were “biohacking” and “fintech”.Shortenings. Some words are just too long. I remember the film “The Sum of All Fears” that introduced me to “rekkie” for “reconnaissance”. Some added to the dictionary in 2018 were “marg” (margarita), “fav” (favourite) and even “bougie” (bourgeois).But of course, English is the worst thief in the world and has been borrowing from other languages ever since the Normans landed in 1066. My favorite is how “kar-a-o-ke” became “care-e-oh-key” when English borrowed “karaoke”. New borrows in 2018 were “iftar” (meal taken by Muslims to break a fast) and “gochujang” (Korean chili paste).

Becauseas dean said to sam.Dean's life is taking care of sam. When dean dies, Sam moved on. Sure, he was sad. But he kept on fighting (except that time he just got married and moved on like a little dipshit). But dean, he never gives up on sammy. He spent every second of the time sam was dead or dying or whatever trying to bring him back. He doesn't have a life without sam.And dean would never forgive me if i let sammy die. And tbh, sammy is my baby.and as rivers said, "I'd save Sam, because obviously no matter what happens through Heaven, Hell or purgatory Dean is always gonna come through for his little brother."The two people who said Dean said they would save dean because sam would probably give up hunting. And I agree to some level. Thats why I would try to save Dean. (Or maybe I'd just sacrifice myself and castiel for them (haha castiel I'm dragging you into this). And no, I'm not a J2 fan. (jared x jenson). ) So like I was saying, the reason which people would save dean is that he cares more about his job. Sam gave up on hunting quite a few times. When his brother died in "no rest for the wicked" Sam moved on, fixed up the car, got with some girl, went to a hotel. Got over him. Dean would never do that. Dean would keep on fighting no matter what. Thats why you can rely on him being worth saving (though they both are 100 percent worth saving). Dean only stopped hunting once in his life time since he was 4 *yes 4 fuckin years old* and that was because he had promised Sam.So if you're looking for who can be trusted to save the world from whatever was going to kill them both, chose Dean.If you love the brothers and you want to save them, chose Sam.
