In The Course Of Disease Development The Period In Which The First Mild Symptoms Appear Is Called

How long do early hiv symptoms last?

The Acute stage occurs about 4 weeks after the primary HIV infection. It tends to run the same course as a 'flu. The symptoms usually last a week, but could linger for a few weeks before you feel well again.

Fifth Disease...could it be?

I have been sick for several months. My doctor is testing me for parvovirus (fifth disease). He said you don't have to have a rash to have this. Is it dangerous and does anyone know anything about it?

Are these ARS / HIV Symptoms?

Unlikely you would be having symptoms of HIV 4 months after protected or unprotected sex.
But you should see a doctor to see what IS causing the problem.
Take care

Edit: Some people experience mild, flu-like symptoms one to two weeks after becoming infected, while others experience no symptoms at all. Even people who do develop a flu-like condition will experience no further symptoms for a long time.
All though symptoms are varied due to the nature of the disease abdominal pain is usually not one of the first symptoms.
But it is always good to get checked if you are sexually active.
HIV is not my FIRST thought.

Are there any symptoms for gonorrhea?

Symptoms

About half of people infected with gonorrhea don't have symptoms. The incubation period—the time from exposure to the bacteria until symptoms develop—is usually 2 to 5 days, but sometimes symptoms may not develop for up to 30 days.

Gonorrhea may not cause symptoms until the infection has spread to other areas of the body. See the What Happens section of this topic.

Symptoms in women
In women, the early symptoms are sometimes so mild that they are mistaken for a bladder infection or vaginal infection. Symptoms may include:

Painful or frequent urination.
Anal itching, pain, bleeding, or discharge.
Abnormal vaginal discharge.
Abnormal vaginal bleeding during or after sex or between periods.
Genital itching.
Irregular menstrual bleeding.
Lower abdominal pain.
Fever and general tiredness.
Swollen and painful glands at the opening of the vagina (Bartholin glands).
Painful sexual intercourse.
Sore throat (rare).
Pinkeye (conjunctivitis) (rare).

How long does an acute HIV symptoms last?

Acute HIV symptoms, otherwise known as a primary infection response, may or may not occur in any given individual. When they do occur, they take place during the process of what is called seroconversion. This is the process during which HIV establishes itself in the bloodstream and during which antibodies begin to be produced. This process is known to occur as little as several weeks after initial exposure to several months after initial exposure. The symptoms, when and if they occur, mimic those of other viral infections like colds or mild influenza. They rarely last longer than several days to a couple of weeks. Some people have reported longer episodes. It's important to understand that these symptoms are not AIDS, which would likely take ten years or longer to develop in the absence of treatment. With treatment, AIDS can practically always be prevented. It's also important to understand that a primary infection response is no way to judge if HIV infection has taken place. There is no way to know if any given symptoms are related to HIV.To know, you must be tested. See your doctor or go to an HIV clinic.
