I have very painful periods. Almost all my body parts right from legs and back to my head and belly, pain like hell. I cry and cry a lot because of that unbearable pain.It had been 10 months since we were dating, his parents were out of town for 3 days so we decided that I will stay at his place. We were watching a movie in the evening and suddenly I felt something. Yes, I started bleeding. I got up and went to the washroom. He was standing outside and asking again and again if I'm okay. I came out and told him that I got my periods and that I need sanitary pads now. “Give me 5 minutes, I will go and buy them for you. Just tell me which one do you use.” he said while changing clothes in hurry.“Whisper”, I replied.“Okay you take rest, I will be back in 5 minutes”,he said kissing my forehead.I was sitting in the floor waiting for him. Pain was growing and I couldn't handle it anymore. I laid on the floor holding my tummy with tears in my eyes.He came with the pads and picked me up ,wiped my tears and took me to the washroom . “Don't lock the door" he said.I nodded.I came out after 5 minutes and I saw him standing there with a hot water bag in his hand. He came to me held my hand and said, “I know it's hurting you badly. Just lay down and let me comfort you.”I was lying on the bed and he was sitting beside me. He gave that hot water bag to me and told me to keep it under my back and was rubbing his hand over my stomach so that I don't feel much pain. The pain started decreasing after sometime.“How do you know about all this?”I asked.“About what?” he replied.“This hot water bag and all", I replied.“Oh that! I read about it. Remember once you told me that have really painful menses . That day I searched on the net about home remedies to cure the pain. Question about the movie Hard Candy?
Her reaction to what she finds in the safe leads us to believe that is where Jeff has been hiding his child porn, but of course, we never see it. There is also a picture of a girl in front of the Nighthawks. Haley throws the picture at Jeff and asks him why she gets to keep her clothes on. He says that he met her once at the cafe but that he never took her back to the house. He denies being a pedophile. The picture is of Donna, the missing girl from the poster in Nighthawks. It is then clear that Jeff had something to do with Donna's disappearance. Great movie!
Confusing Ending of "Hard Candy"?
Look at the bottom here for my question. --------------------------------------... I recently saw the movie "Hard Candy" on Showtime. It's about this photographer (Jeff) who meets a 14-year-old girl (Hayley) online. He wants to take pictures of her, so he meets her at a coffee shop. She invites herself over his house, then drugs him and ties him up. She thinks h's a pedophile who murdered a recently-missing girl, but he denies it. She tortures him, first making him believe she'd castrated him (which she didn't), then binding him and standing him up on a chair with a noose around his neck. She tells him if he kills himself, she'll get rid of all the evidence against him (a photo of the missing girl and a planted suicide note); otherwise she'll kill him and leave the evidence. He escapes, and goes after her with a knife, presumably for revenge. He follows her up to the roof, when she tells him she'd called his long-lost love to come to the house. She says the offer still stands: hang himself off the roof, and she'll clear away any incriminating evidence. He denies doing anything wrong still, but knows that either way he's going to prison, so he kills himself. Then she adds a clause to her deal: "Or not". --------------------------------------... Now, here's my question: Was Jeff guilty or innocent? Obviously, he'd deny everything usually, but when you're threatened with castration and still deny it, then you think you've been castrated and STILL deny it, then are about to kill yourself and STILL deny it, I tend to think you're innocent. At the same time, there's a disturbing scene where Jeff sort of snaps as he's looking for Hayley. Of course, Hayley comes off as a psychopath, so I don't know. Can anyone help clear this up? In the movie, "Hard Candy" why did he choose death?
The woman was driving to the house because Hayley called her, Hayley says she called her when she is on the roof with Jeff. She says something along the lines of " I called Janelle, told her I was detective Hayley". She did not email Janelle she only threatened to. Much like most of what she did was only threats. She told him (also on the roof) the she would "rip off her clothes and run into Janelle's arms" obviously to prove that Jeff was indeed a pedophile. Not that the evidence wouldn't do that itself but I am just quoting the movie here. He decided to hang himself because he didn't want Janelle or anyone else to find out what he really was, of course they were going to anyway since Hayley did not clear up any of the evidence after he jumped although she said she would. On another note (can you tell this is one of my fav films yet?) there is a theory (not mine I read it) that Hayley isn't real at all. She is the guilty part of Jeff's conscious, remember when he is thanking her and stabbing the wall for "showing him who he really is". It was part of him that he kept denying and when he and a friend killed that girl the guilt just built up inside him until he went, well nuts. Anyway it's just a theory I read, I thought it was cool, although I personally believe that Hayley was a real girl, vengeful but still real. Oh sorry you asked what evidence, I missed that. Ok when Hayley opened the safe under the rocks in the floor there was illegal child porn pics there, they don't show them but she says something like "that's what all those federal laws are for" so you know she is looking at child porn. Plus she looks at the pic of the dead girl and asks "why is she so special, why did she get to keep she clothes on?" Implying the other girls are all naked. And also see above where I said Haley was going to strip and run to Janelle. Sorry I rambled, loved the movie, so I couldn't help it.
How do I focus on my real life and stop focusing on my virtual life and gaming?
Oh, I finally find a teenager that s/he wants to quit. I am very happy to learn that from you. At least there is someone out there who wants to take serious actions. So lets get to the point. I am sure you will not die if you keep yourself away from any device that you have played with for an extended period of time. I swear to God that you will not die. if you die you can sue me then. The most important thing here is how to keep yourself away form gaming and then how to plan your time to do anything except gaming.Here are some tips that would help you to start a fight against your self.1.Lend your device to someone or at least give it to your mom to keep it away form you.2.Announce your desire to quit the gaming. tell all your friends and family members that you want to do this. This would make you more strong.3. Plan a back to back schedule and pin it in your room and try to stick with it. Make a list of what you love most except gaming. Try to focus on them4. If possible, take part in a camping program in summer.Take part in fruitful actions like helping other people in real life.5. Find some friends who share the same problem with you. Make a promise.6.Before going to bed, tell yourself how stupid one can be if s/he endangers his real life by immersing himself in virtual life. Think about the consequences.7.Ask Allah to help you out with the problem. He would listen to you whenever you call Him.8. Do not do stupid actions like the Chinese teen who cut off his hand to cure his addiction.Chinese teen chops hand off to 'cure' internet addiction9. There are some centers which are free to call. Find a good one on internet and call them up.

Oh this is soooo easy for me to answer :)Hayley Stark from Hard CandyWho is Hayley Stark? Well she is a 14 girl that tricks a pedophile photographer to take her home. Why did she do that? [Spoilers ahead]Well the movie is a rape-and-revenge flick so even tho she wasn't raped by the guy, she had enough evidence that he is a child predator. That was proven even further by him making explicit pictures of her (and other stuff that happens). Ironically she drugs him and ties him up, only to castrate him and torture him in other ways, including threatening him to make his disgusting secret public. He does not want that because of his ex-wife which he still loves. At the end she promises him to not reveal his secret if he kills himself. And so he does only to have her standing there saying "Or not."The movie is brilliant and may be one if not the favorite movie of mine. I'm not supporting self justice and the movie does a great job making you think. Both are likable and terrible at the same time. The movie only has 2 actors excluding one neighbour which makes it very intense and personal. It also helps that the movie features my favourite actress, Ellen Page (which is 18 at the time, relax).At the end most people i knew couldn't deny it. They rooted for Hayley all along. It kinda feels like these bully-beat-up videos. Revenge might not be morally admirable, but it is oh so sweet.
