In What Ways Does Ovid Rationalize The Greek Creation Story From Hesiod Into His Roman Version

Greek and Roman mythology: Which literary works of the Antiquity describe the war between the Olympians and the Titans (apart from Hesiod's Theogony)?

I believe no surviving work covers the Titanomachy as amply as Hesiod in the Theogony.Brief accounts of the war between the gods and the Titans are made in the following major sources of the Greek and Roman mythology:  - Diodorus Siculus: Library of History, Book V  - (Pseudo-)Appolodorus: Bibliotheca, Book I  - (Pseudo-)Hyginus: Fabulae, Fable 150  - Ovid: Fasti  - Nonnus of Panopolis: DyonisiacaA very good online resource Theoi enlists practically all mentions, even minor and passing ones, of the Titanomachy in the ancient sources. Who was Hesiod?

Hesiod was an ancient Greek poet. He 's roughly located around the era where Homer as well was active.More info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/He...

In what ways does Ovid rationalize the Greek creation story from Hesiod into his Roman version?

What strikes me is Ovid’s departure from the mythology that we find in Hesiod. Ovid refers to a generic “mundi fabricator” in line 57. There are a few mentions of an unspecified god, but nothing that approaches the name-dropping you find in the Theogony. In fact, the first mythological characters Ovid cites by name are the Winds, and a few constellations. The language Ovid uses in his creation story — to me — is reminiscent of Presocratic philosophers: the references to elements, etc.The above is a prose outline. Go to Wikipedia for help on the Presocratics. I forget which of them came up with the idea of four elements.

Why doesn’t Athena get any infamy for turning Medusa into a hideous creature? Those who follow the legend of Medusa seem to focus on her turning people into stone.

All that is an allegoric meaning of events.Medusa is a representation of the reptiles (we seen reptile gods in all asiatic/babylonian/judaic religions). Even dark magic spells include medusa camouflaged in your eyes. Persephone is Medusa.Perseus (Περσεας) + murder (Φονος) = Persephone/Περσεφονη (which represents the fall of Medusa into Hades. So every time witches and wizzards and voodoo, etc recall Hermes, Persephone, Hecate, etc… They invite the minions of Medusa and the fallens.Medusa is not one person, it is minions… How many demons in your language there are, not including the fallen?…Athena is a Titan, later on known presented as Goddess during the Romanized version of things, after 500bc!Athena took part in the Great war (titan war), also took part in the creation in the side of Prometheus. Zeus trusted the weapon of Medusa to be her shield.Brown as the color of her shield is the planet Athena, or Nemesis.Today they scare people about fake Anunakis and Nibiru or Nemesis. (brown too?).All titans are planets. Titans give birth to GODS.. Gods are those who run fast in the universe, protect, create life! Soul/Spirit (Spirit is the spark of Prometheus, be able to be GOD with progression), this is also the reason why all ancient or most of the ancient Hellenics are recorded as GODS.
