In Your Opinion Should I Give Lessons

Swim lessons - private VS group. Your opinion?

I'm deciding whether or not to put my daughter in private or group swim lessons. We've done group lessons before and were not happy because the other children were unruly and the teacher could not handle them and the parents (though they were sitting right there!) did not discipline their children. We're fairly tight with money so I went to city classes and now we're considering going through a local country club instead. They are reputed for having an excellent swim school and for giving great lessons, both group and private. Though both are much more costly than lessons through the city, we just can't do that kind of atmosphere again. Friends of mine have done the group lessons and say that their teachers know how to deal with kids, but I'm just not sure about doing the group thing again. I also really cannot afford it, but I really want my child to be water safe. Do any of you feel strongly that private lessons will offer better instruction or will group lessons be fine?

Rejection: Shame or a lesson! What is your opinion and how you feel it should be handled?

Recently I met an old friend of mine , who has turned more into a silent object than a living being , contrary to her being the  full of life and fun loving girl she use to be in school .I asked her what happened and she told me dilemma she is facing . Let me first draw a sketch of her  to give brief introduction , before telling the story .She is dusky , wear high powered glasses and Bulky but worn as the only daughter of a filthy rich family .She has done some diploma in designing and working as an assistant , so as to be an independent girl .Coming back to the story , I remember  after our high school her parents started searching for an ideal match ( she being from an orthodox family , where girls thought to be of marriageable age after attaining puberty , things started really soon ).Now , it's been years and the same practice going on where ,she is  made to sit in front of stranger group of people , loaded with flashy jewelry and clothes ,who came to her house for marriage alliances .She is asked to serve  her hand cooked food to them so as to impress them with this quality .And then her father is asked for the amount of dowry they can give to marry their daughter , who in the eyes of groom side not at all presentable and pretty .She is asked to learn all the household stuff and leave the job so that her family can portrait ,her home maker qualities while hiding her physical appearances aside .Her confidence and self esteem are on verge to die because of the rejections she has  facing over the years from the boys and their families pointing on her looks and she has started taking herself of not worthy to find a decent guy who will choose her the way she is .I feel that this behavior is enough to stammer once faith in his/ her qualities .

What, in your opinion, are some of the lessons that should be learned from the Great Crash?

The price of stocks do not go up forever. Sometimes they go down a lot in a short period of time.

Life Lessons: Should billionaires be giving life advice?

Yes.As should destitute people.Take advice and perspective from multiple angles. It is up to you to take that advice and those views for what they're worth.Don't listen to a billionaire about growing up poor who's never been poor, but if they have come up from the bottom; great perspective.Don't listen to a man that has never invested about investing, but even a failure at investing would have advice about that subject. It's up to you to take something from it.

I am doing a survey for my Ethics class and I need your opinions?

The Law.

Ethics.

Morality.

Lets start with the last. From a moral standpoint if you know of a murder you are morally obligated to help catch the killer. If you do not, he could do the same thing again and you will be partly guilty for the future murder. How good are your morals? Mine are pretty good and I would not let a murderer get away with it.

Now lets go to the first. While the police can not review his records without a search warrant, the guy came to you to recover his information. He had to have known it was there yet he risked discovery by giving you the computer and asking you to recover it. Your finding it in no way required a search warrant and in fact, he expected you to recover (find) it. So how you got the information is totally legal. Unless there is a law on the books that says you can ot reveal it, you can give it to the cops without breaking the law.

Now to ethics. A company that is in the business of dealing with recovered files has to promise the customer some security and confidence that his information is not going to be blasted all over the place. If the company does not stick by its promise, it has compromised its ethical standards and business will drop off. Who is going to trust a company that does not keep its word and its confidentiality? From that stand point your boss is right, you should shut up and not say a thing.

Now, put the three together. What is more important? Your boss clearly thinks the reputation of the company is the most important. he does not want it to get out that they look at files and reveal what they find. His interest is future business and money. But morality requires you to turn him in. Society does not want a killer to get away, giving him a chance to kill again. The deciding factor is the law in this case. If there is no law that says you can not turn the information over to the cops, then you should turn it over to the cops. If there is a law that says you can not do it, then you can not do it. It is assumed that the law is a balance of all needs.

(I do not agree but want to give you all the info. )

(A fourth option is to copy all the stuff and blackmail the SOB. That is not only illegal, it is immoral and unethical. Three strikes all at the same time.)

"life is a long lesson in humility".?

Basically, it means to be humble, to be able to admit when you're wrong and take responsibility for it, and it also signifies that you should never consider yourself to be above others. There are things that happen in life that make people realize just how insignificant they really are compared to the universe as a whole, and in the eyes of God. To experience humility, watch a little child. Kids are naturally humble because they don't know how to be any other way. Of course they will try to exercise their independence, but they soon realize they don't have much influence, and have not developed that sense of self importance.

Your quotation itself reveals that life is a lesson in humility. When we can put ourselves in the proper perspective and get over those feelings of superiority, then we can gracefully accept our limitations in this life. Unfortunately, however, very few of us actually do that.

What would an ideal teacher be in your opinion?

An ideal teacher needs to help his students learn. With an ideal teacher eventually you will have learnt something at the end of each class or lesson. Also a superior teacher should always give the students an opportunity to discuss our opinion and thoughts. Moreover I think that teacher should understand and respect their students because the students might have gone through a lot of suffering, and they must be given a chance to learn. Teachers with a good sense of humor will make the students like them more which will help them to enjoy the lessons. I find it very helpful when the tutor or teacher repeats explanations more than once; they should also encourage questions and be good at explaining. Teachers must be knowledgeable about the subject they are teaching. In addition they must prepare students with the education and skills they need for the future. Furthermore teachers must all have the degrees that are needed for the subjects they are teaching. Some of the characteristics that I would like a teacher to have are organization, patience and a willingness to create or make lesson plans and ideas that are new and exciting for students. I think it’s hard for teachers to be ideal or perfect all the time. Nobody can be perfect

Should I take this class over the summer?? OPINIONS????

I am currently a sophmore in high school, so I will be a junior next year. I'm thinking of taking Macroeconomics over the summer (college setting), but I am not sure if I should. I just finished taking MEHAP, which I did not find too difficult. Either way, I will be taking USHAP, US History AP at school next year. Should I wait until next summer to take Macroeconomics, or would I be fine taking it this year?
Oh, and there are no prerequisites for taking Macroeconomics.
Any suggestions would be helpful!

What in your opinion makes a good guitar teacher?

I understand what you mean. My first guitar teacher literally didn’t teach anything apart from basic open chords and C major scale in open position. My second teacher taught some basic chord progressions, and some Bollywood songs when I wanted to play Metallica. Then I started learning on my own, got stuck in a rut until I started learning from a teacher who taught me exactly the stuff I wanted to play. Here are some points in my opinion that make a good guitar teacher.Understands your guitar playing goals/motivation. When I started learning from my teacher Aditya Shukla, he firstly asked me what kind of music I’m interested in, what kind of stuff I want to learn/play and my current level of playingHelps you get the fundamentals rightsBreaks down mental blocks, and encourages growth mindsetHelps build good habits, because it is a real pain to change bad habits. I learned that the hard way when I was learning sweep pickingGives proper feedback on the things you playHas sound knowledge of music theory which can be taught without creating any confusion. I really had tough time to understand what ghost notes areHope this gives you a better idea. Cheers! :-)
