Indiana University Requirements

Doing Indiana University Groups?

I am not sure what you mean. Did your counselor recommend you for the IU Groups program? You still have to meet additional requirements in order to be accepted by IU. You have to apply to IU. After you do, you will know in a few weeks if you have been accepted.

If you are a senior and you have not already applied to IU for the Groups program, you missed the deadline, which was November 1. You can still apply to IU, though.

If you have applied to IU and you were invited to participate in the Groups program, there will be some mandatory meetings you must attend in order to participate in the summer experience.

Check with someone in IU admissions to be certain of your current status.

Sorority dues at Indiana University?

You'd have to contact the individual houses for individual costs, although I doubt they give it to you. If anything they'd state they are in the range that Panhellenic gives: $300-$500 a semester if you don't live in (most people do) or $6000 to $9000 for dues and housing. There are requirements to live in until senior year at most chapters. You won't be paying for on campus housing during that time.
Indiana's recruitment is very competitive and writing off a house based on costs isn't going to result in a successful recruitment. If you can't afford it you can't. Greek life isn't a right and lots of people get jobs to afford it.

Can I get into Indiana University, Bloomington?

I am wondering if I have a good chance of getting into IU or not. I have read several times that they average 70-73% acceptance in the last couple of years.

Here is my information:
-5 ACP/H classes
-4 CP1 classes
-4 years of wrestling and lacrosse
-4 years of foreign language (Ger.)
-student council member
-leadership and initiative club member
-extensive hours of community service
-all of my grades are between 82% and 96%, I average about 87% per quarter.
-my HS is Catholic private and is nationally ranked 98% go to college
PS~ it might not matter to the universities selection process but I have a work ethic higher than most

What is your review of MS In Data Science (Indiana University Bloomington)?

★★★★★So  the data science program at IU just started last year but IU has amazing data science/ machine learning professors. Also the data science program if I am not wrong is under informatics. So take into account that you wont get a computer science degree. Prior to this program IU has always had great research in Machine learning going on by Predrag Radivojac, Sriraam Natarajan, David Crandall, etc, etc. They have amazing research in the arena of machine learning, so if you really wnat to do research in machine learning don't think once just go to IU !!! ABout the degree I really cant comment but as per I know most of the statistics and CS courses will be clubbed in your course so talking about course it will be awesome :)Source: I am an IU CS grad and have worked with Prof Sriraam Natrajan for more than a year.

Is Indiana University's MBA program good?

Kelley MBA is public school program which is relatively cheaper than its Big 10 peers (most expensive being Penn State). Please refer to http://kelley.iu.edu/GCS/Employm... for the latest on recruiting companies for MBA grads. In terms of academics, we had really good professors (such as Wayne Winston - http://tech.co/interview-with-wa...) who were renowned in the industry for their skills and knowledge. There are international experiential learning courses, which provides good exposure to multi-cultural environments and international businesses. The campus is really beautiful (Sample Gates | Hotels, Restaurants & Things to Do in Bloomington IN) and you will have a pleasant academic experience :)Overall, it provides good value for the money and time invested towards your MBA.

Can I get into Kelly School of Business, Indiana University with GRE score 314 and TOEFL score 96 for masters in MIS?

You can, or you might not. It’s an unpredictable process. The selection procedure is 2 interviews (group and personal). But, if you do well on your interviews or can convince the interviewer with a good profile, you just might!

I have been selected to Indiana University, so which school will I be attending?

Thanks for the A2A.I was not a Kelley student, but I have friends who were, and from what I understand, there are two ways to be admitted into the Kelley School of Business.(P.S. Also I’m just going to assume you are attending college as a freshmen because you have not indicated otherwise. )Direct Admit as an incoming freshmen (first year).I’m not sure how the entire process works, but basically this allows you to become a Kelley student and bypass all the application stuff if you were admitted to IU as a general undergrad. This method is only available to incoming freshmen starting in the Fall, and from what I understand, highly competitive.Apply for admission to Kelley during your Freshmen year at IU.To do so, you will have to take required business courses, demonstrate academic excellence (3.5 GPA I believe), no W (dropping courses), and complete the application packet (essay, extracurriculars, that kind of thing).I’m not sure but from what I gather, you seem to be admitted to IU, but not directly to Kelley. This means that you are probably admitted as a general student, and will be taking classes wherever the classes you choose are held. So if you take Psychology classes, for example, generally those will be in the Psychology building.(From what I remember, unless you are directly admitted to a certain program, i.e., Kelley or Jacob, you will not be attending a certain “School”, you will just be taking classes. For example, I was not “admitted” to my school “College of Arts and Sciences” until after my grades met the requirements and I was “accepted”, but I was studying at IU already if that makes any sense)If you are still interested in Kelley, you will have to work extra hard and apply for admission to Kelley your freshmen year (generally by the end of Spring semester).I’ve not personally applied, but apparently the process is pretty competitive, and I’m not sure of your chances seeing as how that would totally depend on your grades and other stuff your first year there. Most of my friends who’ve met the requirements (or exceeded them) and applied have gotten in, though.I’ve tried my best at answering your questions, but if you have any doubts or further questions, you would be best served by emailing the School directly.I have attached the Kelley School of Business Undergraduate website for further information should you need it: https://kelley.iu.edu/Ugrad/Admi...
