Why does facebook allow some members to have more than 5000 friends ?
Perhaps those 2 friends had deactivated their profile for a while and decided to reactivate it. When someone decides to deactivate his/her account on Facebook, it also disappears from his/her friend's list. When it's reactivated, it reappears. Facebook cannot automatically delete friends from a person's list just because of the limit.

Cause they dont want you to take away their advertising business.If they were to theoretically allow unlimited friends, individuals would have similar or more power than FB to send advertisements to your FB feed.Which would kill FBs Advertising business/revenue.Imagine a person who is really well known and popular and has the entire FB community in his friend list.He could theoretically make more money than Facebook for pushing ads. Currently, even if you pay for boosting (advertising) your posts on FB, you have various criteria and demographics like age,sex,location etc to chose from. Imagine if the whole world was on your friend list. That would theoretically give you more power than FB. Even currently, when you establish a ‘friend’ on Facebook, you have to consciously choose to see their posts first in your feed. How many people even know that ? Get it ?? I can't "Like" Facebook pages, PLEASE READ AND HELP!?
So, I want to 'like' pages on facebook, but everytime I click 'like' on a page it comes up with this message saying, 'Individual Facebook members can connect to a maximum of 5000 friends and Pages. To do this action, you'll need to remove a friend or unlike a Page you're already connected to.' I've tried every soloution to the problem like 'un-liking' pages and going to my Account then 'edit' and 'remove page' but it doesn't seem to work. Can anybody please help? It's been like this for approximently 6 weeks now. If you help I'd be really thankful! Thankyou.
