Infinity Car Windows Were Down

My window on my Infiniti G35 go down automatically, how can I stop this?

I had the exact same thing happen to me on my 04 coupe, except with passenger side window. The window regulator motor can not adjust itself properly to "know" the height the window is supposed to be. On the coupe, the window moves slightly down and back up when opening and closing the door. On the up movement, it thinks it has gone too far and rolls back down a few inches. You can take it to the dealership and they will replace it free, as long as you still have it under warranty, otherwise look at replacing the window regular motor. If you are looking to do it yourself look at this link http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki/Service:TSB_04-089_Window_Regulator_Motor_Reset_Procedure

Anyone have a power window fail on an Infiniti G35?

no..

Should I black out my Infinity G35?

I have a 2004 Infinity G35 coupe in a desert titanium (silver but turn beige/goldish in rain or cloudy day). Its slammed on coil overs, tinted windows, front/rear sway bars & racing struts, later model G35 ray rims, full Greddy exhaust (cat delete), and a few minor things here and there. Besides the rims, exhaust, tint, and lowering the exterior is stock (No paintwork, body kits, or pep boys crap). Do I keep it clean and supercharge it or black out the headlights, tailights, and get the rims powdercoated black (then down the line supercharge it, gotta save up for a little bit if I do this). I will take performance over looks anyday but im not sure whether I should ahve a super clean/super mean ride or a nasty looking ride now and supercharge it later. Just seeing what people think. Thanks! P.S. Whats your ride?

Does having your car windows and sunroof open slow down your cars acceleration???

To simply answer the question, yes, having your windows/sunroof open reduces your vehicles overall speed due to drag that's not factored into wind tunnel testing when it's designed.

If your vehicle is detecting a slip condition, your shifting too high or low, causing clutch slip as opposed to a solid engagement. This occurs in any vehicle with a clutch; you need to shift precisely. Margin of error on a shift point is not a few hundred RPM's, it's less than 100.

2003 G35 Sedan - rattle with windows rolled down?

There's a peice of felt on the inside of the door housing that keeps the window from rattling. It pushes against the glass from the inside. The felt is a magnet for oils and lubricants inside the door, which is the reason G35 windows often have a large streak that appears after each washing.

Chances are, the previous owner took out the felt, which is a popular fix listed on many Infiniti message boards, causing the rattle.

Don't listen to all these jackasses that tell you to sell it or that it's a piece of crap. Bought mine in 2003 with 26 miles on it, and it hasn't been in the shop once.

Should I roll the car window down or keep it up when I smell a skunk?

When I was a boy I thought dead skunks could be smelled for miles because we would drive for miles before the smell dissipated. Turns out the smell just stayed in the car for miles since my parents wouldn’t roll down the windows.By the time you smell a skunk you are already past it. Roll down the window all the was for about 15 seconds and the skunk smell will be gone. Unless of course you ran over the skunk. In that case just burn the car.

Which one is correct? Raise/lower vs put up/put down the car window?

Using raise/lower can mean changing the level of the top of the car window from fully open, fully closed or from partially open (same as partially closed). Open the window usually means lowering the top of the window from the fully closed position to a partially or fully closed position. Close the window almost always means to raise the window all the way up, unless you add the words partway or a little... or something similar.Roll up/roll down the window is usually used for older cars with mechanical cranks, but it can be used for newer cars with electronic buttons by people who grew up with the older style cars and continue to use the older expression. It can also be used by younger people who learned the expressions from older people as well as anybody who likes to deal with antique cars. You could say put up/put down the window and it might be understood correctly, but those phrases also have other connotations, some negative toward other people, so I wouldn't recommend that as strongly. However, I hear it often enough and have occasionally said it, so it is not totally incorrect. Any phrase used by a large enough segment of the population eventually becomes correct as an alternate form even if it was formerly considered incorrect or substandard, because languages evolve – whether we like it or not.I personally would prefer raise/lower or open/close the window.
