Dynex tv remote wont change channels how can i fix?

COMCAST REMOTE ? to change channels on tv ,.not cable box?

The cable-box remote is "locked" to the cable function regarding the channel changing functions. It can be unlocked, however. I can only give you specific directions if your box is a Motorola. If you have a Scientific Atlanta box you can give this a try. If it is a Universal brand remote (it will have the letters "UEI" on the back) it will work. Otherwise, you may have to contact Comcast for directions.

On the remote, press the CABLE button. Then press and hold the SETUP button until the CABLE button flashes. Press 9-7-3. The CABLE button will flash twice. Press the "CH -" button (that's the "channel down" button. The CABLE button will flash four times.

That's it. Now the remote will change the channel on the TV, as long as you press the TV button first..

Input button on remote won't work?

Many cable or satellite remotes can change channels & volume but not tv input. In fact the tutorial for Dish says specifically to not use the tv input button on their remote to change the tv input & to use the tv remote instead. The few times I have accidentally done that it took several minutes to get back to the tv input and if I'd actually meant to change the input I usually had to either cycle through several attempts and/or give up & change it on the tv itself. So there might not be a fix; you might just have to do it through the tv remote.

I've lost the remote to my old Sansui TV, how can I change the input (IE Video 1 and Video 2) without it?

My Sansui TV is a model with no input button on the front, no manual way to switch the inputs in button form without the remote. The only options in the menu (brought up with the two channel buttons depressed at once) is the ability to switch between "TV" (ie, internal antenna for local channels) and "CATV" or the coax cable input on the back. Is there a way to switch to either of the video inputs that I'm missing, or is it impossible without the remote?

How do I change the input on my sanyo tv with no remote?

On some TVs, there are alternate inputs accessible with the tuner--try looking below Channel 2. Use the up-down channel button on the cabinet.

If that doesn't work, or if you can't find any other controls for it on the cabinet, go buy a universal remote. They're available everywhere--I've seem them as low as $12 in a drug store, and less on-line.

How can I change my TV channel without a remote in a Samsung smart TV?

If you don’t have a remote or smart remote, an app is a great option. Samsung has one to support most models.Otherwise, if getting up and walking 8 steps is an option - all Samsung TV’s have a joystick on the right side back or bottom of the TV.Up/down should change the channel, left/right should change volume, in should pop a menu, long press in should pop a different menu.

How can I select HDMI input for Changhong TV without the remote?

Most simple menu operations can be accessed via the console buttons on the TV set. They are not always intuitive in their operation and differ for each make and model. Best to look on the back of the TV for the model number and google online for the users manual. Then just play around with the button combinations until you find the input select menu.i.e. Page 8 of Changhong Electric Flat Panel Television LT1512E, LT1712E, LT2012E, LT2612E, LT3212E User Guide | ManualsOnline.com

Polaroid FLM-323B TV channel won't change?!?

Do you have a menu button? How about an INPUT / Source button?

Do the Volume and Channel buttons have various Arrows on them too?

Then you can access the menu, Arrow up or down to the channel icon, hit the MENU or ENTER button, arrow up or down to Autoprogram then use the Right or Left arrow to access it and turn it on to grab all the channels available.

The way this works is usually Menu 1st, then Channel buttons then Volume buttons, then channel buttons, then volume buttons (or vice versa) to navigate the menu and icons..

Now if you have an INPUT/Source button, you can just rent a Cable/Satellite box, plug it into the proper Video connections for it, then use the INPUT button and possibly the arrow buttons to select the INPUT you have connected it to on the TV set.....

Then you don't have to mess with the TV set, and you have a remote control that should work in turning on the TV and adjusting the Volume from the Sofa...

Does anyone know how to change the input on an RCA TV to allow video games to be played? Thanks for your time.

I've tried scrolling down the channels, but after channel 1 it goes to channel 125, 124, etc. On other TV's I've had you could find the aux. input below channel #1, but no luck with this TV.
