Insanity Workout And Etc.

P90X Workout or Insanity Workout?

I know about both, friends that have PX and I have Insanity. They will both give you results if you follow the program. I noticed the main difference is Insanity has no weights, uses your body weight more, has more cardio, and will give full results in 60 days.

PX is a 90 day program that works on muscle confusion; basically you vary the exercises enough that the muscles have to work harder to react and catch up, giving you bulk.

I liked Insanity for its 60 day factor and no weights. I am not sure which would be easier for you. Both workouts will require you to move and be flexible. You will have to decide which would work best with your scoliosis. If you can, borrow a disc of each program from a friend, and then decide from there. You may want to consult your dr. to make sure this type of workout will work for you.

Good Luck!

How many days a week do i do the insanity workout?

.The calendar that comes with the workout indicates 6 days a week (I'm going through it right now myself). I'm not using the nutrition guide so can't speak for that, but I would assume it's meant to be a 7 day a week plan...to use throughout the program (and beyond, if you desire).

Insanity workout for skinny teen?

Is it ok for me to do insanity workout coz I'm quite skinny. Basically I just want to be really toned and I might bulk up once I hit 18 I'm 17 now. Some of my friends said I'm going to get more skinnier instead of toned. I eat quite a lot everyday but my metabolism is just really fast. That's why no matter how much I eat I stay at 60kg.
My mass: 60kg
Height: 5'8

Any tips?

Is insanity workout worth the money?

No, I personally think the workouts were a little too much. You can lose the same amount of weight on your own by committing yourself to a diet plan and workout routine. Invest that money on healthier food, exercise equipment, gym membership, etc. Good luck

Has anyone tried the Insanity  Workout?

Yes, I have done insanity workout a few times now. First time I did it, I didn't pay attention to my diet and I did tone up my muscle, but I didn't lose that much body fat. Second and third time around, I paid attention to my diet and I got amazing results. When I say diet, I am not saying that you have to eat mundane food that is listed on the meal plan. I am saying eating at your optimal calorie and macro goals. If you are interested to find a glimpse of what insanity workout looks like, I have been posting body weight tabata cardios in my fitness channel and a lot of the exercises are adapted from insanity, check out my tabata workout here:If you are interested in learning how to set up your calorie and macro for optimal fat loss (not muscle loss) for you uniquely, you can check out my nutrition videos here for guidance:WeightLoss BasicsHopefully this helps you out :-) But I highly recommend insanity (of course with a good balanced diet).

Does Insanity Workout Really Work?

I own the video set. Here is the deal .... the work out DOES work. BUT the problem is that it is too intense to keep up FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE. You need to incorporate it into part of OTHER EXERCISE. You cannot - will not - enjoy exercising if you MUST work out that hard daily. Your body will also have a problem after a while because it is VERY hard on your back / leg muscles.

It needs to be done with CAUTION and you need to MODIFY much of the workouts so you don't injur yourself. If you do a workout that intensely all the time, you will lose weight but GAIN IT RIGHT BACK when you return to workouts you can handle. So do it say two times a week and do only PART of the video - you don't have to do the entire thing. It isn't a do or die situation.

You need to also eat right. You need to have a FULL medical check up - can your heart take the workout? Are your bones in great shape? Do you have a history of asthma - etc. So many people ignore this and jump into the workout. DUMB! Toughest video workout you'll ever do. It's fun - but make it suit you. Don't try to keep up on the video.

How long does an Insanity workout last?

The first month, given the fact that every workout lasts somewhere between 35-45 minutes, and considering a minute or two as to prepare for it (get a towel, water, cover the floor, maybe hook you laptop to a TV), not that much. The videos for the second month though usually last for around 55 minutes to an hour. So even with adding the time for shower, you are done in less than one hour and a half.

Why is a "Netflix for home workout videos (Insanity, P90X, etc.)” a bad idea?

Had you asked that question a few months ago I might have still been able to snark, “There already is. It’s called, ‘Netflix.’” but it looks like Netflix dumped quite a bit of its once expansive workout video library. (I haven’t been able to find much of anything.)However, Amazon still seems to think it’s a good idea and has quite the selection available for Prime members. YouTube also has many good channels, my two favorites are Fitness Blender and HasFit. And of course, as others have pointed out, Beachbody has their own VOD service, as do others. So, it’s clearly believed to be a “good idea” by some. I was a home workout video junkie not long ago, and if it weren’t for the fact that I’ve since become a trainer and instructor myself, I’m sure I would have switched to VOD services by now.

Will the insanity workout and the gym help me to tone up my body with awesome abs?

Everybody looking to start 'gymming' wants to know how quickly they'd succeed in their quest for the evasive 4 pack/6-pack/8-pack.  Firstly one should focus on the entirety of body muscles to obtain a well sculpted physical structure. A well developed upper body can never look appealing unless complimented with a set of toned legs. Most people frequenting the gym focus on their upper body, invariably neglecting their lower body muscle groups and succeed in getting a top heavy body which just looks awkwardly weird. Secondly, and more importantly if your focus is still on those abs, the most common misconception is that abs are formed by doing abdominal focused work out sets(eg. crunches, oblique exercises, etc). Most of the time, a person already has a normal set of abs that is buried under a layer of abdominal fat. There are two things that one needs to do in order to show them off:a) Lower one's body-fat percentage.b) Work out on the abdominal muscle set a little(normally this isn't required, as during the course of ones life, continual body activity and daily chores works the abdomen to the right amount).     A decent diet deficit, along with faithfully following one's weekly gym schedule would work in ones favour toward the quest for abs! Here is a link to an online deficit calculator:Calorie Calculator
