Insect Bite Which Hurts 4 Days After

A bug bite that hurts?

Rub peroxide and alcohol on it, if it continues to be a bother after 4 days and is still swollen I would go see a doctor.
Otherwise it sounds normal even though it may not feel like it is.
Sometimes bugs or mosquito's bite other people or animals and when they bite you they inject the left over blood or fluids into you which can cause what you may have, but do not worry the chances of actually getting really sick from a bite are really, really small.

Would an insect or spider bite cause my whole arm to hurt?

The bite site itself (right by the ball of my wrist) doesn't hurt, though it did at first but the inside of my arm from my wrist to elbow hurts like I strained it too much during exercise. It's gotten progressively worse in 24 hours. There is no swelling and the bite mark is not warm to touch and is no bigger than it was yesterday. Also, I do not know what bit me. I didn't see it.

Bug bite on leg..hurts to walk?

I have a very small bug bite on my calf.
it looks as though it was poked by a needle and little red swelling around it.

I don't know what bite me, could have been a spider or an ant.

but now it hurts to walk.
When I apply weight to it...
I feel a bit of pain.
It's not enough to keep me from walking,
but it doesn't encourage me to do so either.

Is this a problem?
Or normal?

Should I contact a doctor..
or will I be alright?

Thanks

Swollen finger from Insect bite?

I woke up yesterday with a small bite on my middle finger (just below the middle knuckle). I didn't think anything of it, other than that it itched slightly, but over the day it started getting more and more and more swollen to the point that the whole bottom half of my finger is swollen and I cannot even bend it anymore, I iced it a little bit and went to sleep with my hand elevated hoping it would at east relieve the problem a little bit. But in the morning it was the same (if not a little worse).

The affected area is slightly pinker than the rest of the skin, very swollen, and itches only slightly. It's extremely uncomfortable and it looks like it's started to spread down to the knuckle. My friend says it's nothing and it should go away in a few days, I just wanted a second opinion.

What should I do about a hard lump caused by an insect bite?

“What should I do about a hard lump caused by an insect bite?”Most insect bites should be just cleaned and an antibiotic or anti-itch cream applied. If it is a tick bite…go to the doctor (especially if it is starting to get a “bulls-eye” appearance) and get tested for tick-borne diseases. I contracted Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever a few years ago, but because I started a round of antibiotics within a few days of getting bit I didn’t have ANY complications or symptoms other than the appearance of the bite and a scar that lasted a few years.

Can insect bite cause a swollen lymph node?

I would bet that is what caused it. An insect bite can set forth an inflammatory response and your lymph node may be swelling in response.

I would be more concerned about the insect bite, as you said its really bad. Is it possible that its infected? Such as a surrounding redness that is getting bigger, a lot of warmth, discharge etc that lasts more than a day or so? The lymph node could be trying to stave off the infection if thats the case. How long did you have the insect bite before you noticed it was swollen?

Your body may be sensitive to whatever it is that bit you as well. My husband gets welts the size of my hand when he gets bit by a mosquito.

I think its worth having it checked out by a doctor, even just as a precaution, because of the possibility of infection. I once had a painful swelling of the lymph nodes under my chin, and never developed any other symptoms other than a mild rash in my mouth, that was it. The doctor said it was most likely a virus that my body was fighting off. Expect it to take a week or two for the swelling to go down after whatever has caused it has abated, as they take their sweet time returning to normal size.

Hope you are feeling better soon and that it goes away quickly for you!
