Internal Bruising Maybe

Are these bruises or internal bleeding?

Its bruises.

Bruises are internal bleeding. But when hospital staff talk about "internal bleeding" they are referring to bleeding from internal organs, like kidneys, stomach etc, which can be dangerous if untreated.

This is your knee so its not anything like that and is not life threatening.

If its very painful you should get it x-rayed. If you have a fracture, break or other damage that might require manipulation its better to be done now than after the bone has healed in the wrong way.

Could have rough groping damage my breasts internally?

Assuming you didn't pop an implant which is very rare, you just have a little bruising or internal bruising going on. If it last for more than a few days, see your Dr. or go to planned parenthood as they are great to have in your corner.

What is the fastest way to heal a bruise?

First, a comment that does not answer your questionI discovered this 'trick' about ten years ago.  When you hit something really hard, you can usually tell (by the severity of the impact) if a bruise is going to form.  I've found that by rubbing the injured part for 20 to 30 minutes (yes, I realize that is a long time) as soon as it happens greatly reduces your chances of a bruise forming.  This doesn't work, if you do it an hour or two later.  I'm not sure of the exact medical reasons why this is, but I think it has something to do with keeping the blood flowing (rather than letting the blood escaping from broken blood vessels collect [coagulate?], which is what a bruise essentially is).My answerAgain, I don't know why this works, but whenever I get a bruise I usually apply a little Japanese patch called  Salonpas, which is designed for muscle pain relief.  These are for the times that I was wrong about the bruise forming (it did) and there is a visible bruise that appears.  I don't know if I heal particularly slowly, but my bruises can last up to a week or even two (in some cases).  I've found that the Salonpas greatly accelerates the healing process (two or three days).  I usually find them in Asian supermarkets or stores, but noticed they are now marketing this product more widely.  You might even be able to find it at your local pharmacy.  Exercise caution.  These patches should not be left on for more than four hours.

What would cause my internal organs to feel bruised?

You can’t feel your internal organs. This is why you are not currently aware of the movement of your intestines, or your lungs expanding, or the whooshing of blood flowing through your kidneys. This is also why people have giant tumors in their body and don’t feel a thing until the tumor starts interfering with bodily functions.

Why do I have a bruise after getting blood drawn?

After a blood test, you may have a small bruised area on your skin where the needle went in. Rarely a larger area of bruising may appear. This can be because there was a lack of pressure at the site of the jab or the blood vessel was damaged by the needle. It is recommended not to bend your elbow after having blood taken as this opens up the vein and may result in more bruising. Bruising is harmless and will disperse in time and does not require treatment. However, in Blood test lab if you frequently get bruises after having a blood test, tell your GP.Some conditions may increase the risk of bruising. These include:• Taking anti-coagulant medicines such as warfarin or aspirin• Conditions such as bleeding disorders• Where it is difficult to locate the vein, for example if the arm is swollen• Elderly patients may bruise more easilyIn order to reduce this risk as much as possible, please tell the person taking the blood if you have any conditions as stated above, or if you have previously experienced problems during or following blood taking in a private or local labs.

How do you get rid of REALLY BAD BRUISES???

Meat Tenderiser!!! My mom would put it on my brother and me when we would fight all of the time. She was afraid that we would go to school and they would call her and ask what was going on at home. She would take meat tenderiser and make a paste out of it with water and rub it on the bruise. Hey, it worked for us! :)

Do bruises bleed?

Depends on what you mean. Bruises are the oozing of blood from capillaries. Capillaries clot off pretty quickly, but until they do, yes, they can bleed. More bleeding than that is not from a common bruise, but excessive bleeding can cause some bruising as a side effect.

My bruise is cutting off circulation?

I recently got an iv put in, and three days later I have a massive bruise outlining part of my vein, and it seems like its cutting off the circulation in my arm/hand. Is this bad? Also, I absolutely refuse to go to the er again so if you tell me to go back...it ain't happening.

Can crossing your legs really cut off circulation, and cause bruises? Maybe even internal bleeding??

I was watching the news recently, and in the health section, they said that crossing your legs can really cut off circulation, leading to (yikes) spider veins and pain?? I have been getting cramps in my leg!! I ususally cross the right one over the left, and my right one starts cramping up. When I uncross, it cramps for about 5 minutes, and then stops. So that may be the reason

I told my friend, and she said that it can actually cause bruising. No signs of that so far...

Please help. Is this just a myth, or something I should seriously stop myself from doing??

Crossing your legs is considered "lady-like" and it's also very comfortable...

What is tiger balm and is it effective to treat bruises?

The time-proven blend of herbal ingredients in Tiger Balm provides safe and effective topical pain relief for sore muscles, arthritis, neck and shoulder stiffness, and just about any other minor muscle or joint aches or pains that may come your way. Tiger Balm may help the discomfort, but not the bruise. When you get a bruise, you should ice as soon as possible. That will limit its size by stopping the bleeding.Once it is there --maybe the next day---and no longer bleeding you can help speed it along by applying heat, or light massage across it, always back towards the torso. So, if it is on your forearm, you should light massage up towards your shoulder. This will promote the circulation and help the body reabsorb it more quickly.
