Internet Lags When I Load A Game

Why do I still lag, even with fast internet?

1) What video card? That can cause very low FPS in all games if it is a low end video card.
2) Ping times for game servers depends on where the game server is located. If in canada, and playing on an European game server, your ping times will be much larger
3) "80%" signal implies you are trying this over wireless. Games will always lag twice or three times worse when playing over wireless. Try all your gaming wired first, to rule out your internet service.
4) If the lag is only over wireless, you probably have lots of wifi interference. Try changing the router's wifi channel to a non-standard value, like 1 or 11. It may not solve the problem if wifi interference is really bad in your location.

How do i make my own internet lag?

I want to make my brother lag on his pc game. Dont ask why. Ive tried the notepad and save it as a bat file and im not sure if im using the right ip address but it doesnt work. If you can tell me where to find my routers ip address and how to make the connection slow down or lag really hard that would be great. And please dont put an answer like "Oh thats not right you shouldnt be doing that to your own brother or your own internet" just give me a straight answer please.

Lag spikes while gaming on Wireless Internet?

Make sure you have the latest firmware installed on the router. Check the LAN DHCP server settings on the router to see if there is a lease duration setting. I've seen very short lease times cause lag issues as the address renews. You might also want to set MAC address filtering on the router to keep unauthorized systems from attempting to connect. If your wifi is not encrypted, set that up too. Also make sure the gateway discovery service is not enabled for the network adapter.

Playing games without INTERNET LAG?

Hello

Alright, so my little brother plays this game called "Roblox" or something like that, and I've actually looked it up, and people say that it hogs or takes up A LOT of bandwidth.

I'm trying to play online with my friends on my PS3 or PC, and I can't seem to, because my brother will not stop playing the game which hogs the bandwidth.

You may be wondering... How do I know that the game is affecting me? I've observed whenever my little brother has had school, and my friends and I don't, I've been able to play online with no troubles what so ever.

It's actually getting pretty frustrating as I can't enjoy myself whenever I'm at home.

What I am looking for is someone who can help me with setting up QoS (Quality of Service) in my router. My router is a Thomson TG782T provided by BigPond.

Or is there any other possible way I may be able to prioritise my PC and PS3 over his laptop?

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance.

How can I fix lag in tencent gaming buddy?

Tencent gaming buddy is a emulator that uses your PC resources to run the game in the emulator environmemt.Under setting ..set the highest amount possible for memory and cpu core..lowest dpi and resolution. In the game itself..set smooth and extreme under frame rate for the best performance. You should also disable or uninstall programs like vmware that interferes with virtualization technology of PC.One strange thibg i have noticed is the game plays smooth when the net is quick and ping is low.Hope it helps getting some CHICKEN dinners!

Why does my game lag in R6 even though my internet connection is fine? Is it because I don’t have an SSD?

More likely it is your Video Card.Nothing is more important to gaming the your graphics processor. If the game runs at decent frame rates but then pauses, and resumes then it could be your not getting the signal at a speed your connection would indicate, try one of the online test sites that will measure your up and download speeds.Make sure all your drivers are up to date.

Why is Tencent Gaming Buddy stuck on the loading screen after matchmaking? How do I solve the problem?

When you start tencent gaming buddy, click on the 3 horizontal bars in the top right corner of the window. Click on settings and do the following:-Under the game tab make sure to select use dedicated gpu (if you have one)Put ram and processor cores to the max you have, and maybe turn off anti aliasing.Set the resolution to 720p (or lower)Go to the engine tab and set resolution to SD(depends on your gpu)Also remeber that it's a trial and error process. As the emulator is still in beta phase, it's not properly optimized, so somethings which worked for me might not work for you and vice versa.Another thing is that you also need to have a good internet connection for it to run smoothly.Let me know if I helpedKudos and see you online

Can you detect whether your CPU or GPU is causing the lag in games?

Yes.There’s a tool for windows called HWMONITOR. It can display the CPU load and the GPU load. Note that you will have to look at the load on the individual cores not the overall CPU load. If a game only utilizes two cores and those are at 100% it doesn’t matter that you have two more cores at 1% each. For the GPU there are several load factors listed. The most important will be the GPU utilisation and the video memory utilisation. If you want to do an additional check to see whether RAM is the problem you can use the windows tool resource monitor (type resmon in your start menu and hit enter or press windows + r then type resmon and hit enter). It displays the number of times that a program wants to get data from RAM but because RAM isn’t big enough the data is on the hard drive and has to be loaded first. It’s called hard faults. You could also use the resmon tool if you don’t want to download HwMonitor. If the problem is neither CPU nor RAM then it’s likely to be your video card.Last but not least most modern components thermal throttle. That means they get slower when they get close to their maximum operating temperature. In resmon and HwMonitor you can see the frequencies the CPU and GPU run at. If those values go down while you are gaming and the temperatures of CPU and/or GPU are high you might solve the problem with additional cooling.
