Ipad Mini With Retina Display Question

My iPad mini with retina display is only 720p? HELP?

So I bough the iPad mini 2, but the resolution is only 1024x768. My ppi is 192. I double checked the box and I do have the iPad mini 2 and my model # is a1489. I can only watch YouTube videos in 720p, what's wrong with my iPad?

IPad Mini 2 (Retina Display) - 16GB enough for me?

Looking into buying an iPad Mini 2. Plan on using it a lot for college (complementing my laptop) starting in September 2015. I am going for physical therapy so will have a lot of studying to do and plan on using apps to help with that. Things I'll be using it for:

1.) The 3D4Medical Applications (Essential Anatomy)
2.) Various training applications. One of those is TrainerRoad. Already use it on the laptop but want to use the app as well.
3.) Various studying resources.
4.) Music. Less than 200 songs.
5.) Social networking applications.
6.) Netflix.

I think it would be enough but based on many posts on several forums, many people have said that the 16GB goes a lot faster than expected. Any thoughts?

The New iPad and the iPad with Retina Display: 264 or 528 ppi?

I don't understand something. The iPad 2 had a pixel density of 132 ppi on the 1024 x 768 high-resolution configuration. But they say the New iPad and the iPad with Retina Display is 264 ppi on the 2048 x 1536 retina configuration.

I thought that would make it 528 ppi because if you think about it logically, if a 1024 x 768 configuration results in 132 ppi, then wouldn't a 2048 x 768 configuration on the same screen size would result in 264 ppi? Because you're basically cutting a line through each pixel which splits it into two, so you're basically doubling the number of pixels thus doubling the number of pixels per inch. You would have twice as many pixels in any given area.

But if you take a 2048 x 768 resolution, and turn it into a 2048 x 1536 one, then you're once again doubling the number of pixels because now you're splitting them in half the other way. So wouldn't that turn the 264 ppi resolution of the 2048 x 768 into a 528 ppi for a 2048 x 1536 resolution.

It's like saying, okay I have a 4 x 4 in. square. I turn one side into 8, so the 8 x 4 side would have twice the area. Then if I turn the other one into 8 (so 8 x 8 in.), then that would quadruple the area of the 4 x 4 in. square. That was just an analogy to give you a better understanding of what I'm trying to say.

Why is the iPad mini with Retina display less expensive than the iPad Air?

While the mini runs on a size price, the air aims for a lightweight crowd. It's like comparing a 13 inch MacBook Pro and a 13 inch MacBook Air: try getting the specs as close as possible and you'll see that lightweight will always be more expensive. Why? Because they have to use a more light and at the same time durable material to build it. And there is a size difference

IPad air or iPad mini retina display which is better which is selling more?

Having used theĀ  Mini Retina myself for about a month I bet it's one of the best tablets till date.I won't be talking about specs 'cause you can read 'em from the official site. What I would like to specify is that the Air is a bit difficult to hold/operate.The Mini Retina, on the other hand is perfect for typing, surfing, gaming, you name it.P.S : The Mini 2 (a.k.a mini retina) and the Mini 3 are SAME. Go for the latter one only if you are crazy about the biometric sensor. If you cannot compromise with performance and want a future proof devise go for the Air 2.( I'd still prefer the mini retina)

What are the advantages of an ipad with retina display?

I didn't realise you actually had the choice.... But here's my horrid story, I bought my iPad with the intention of only using it for ebooks, so the specs weren't truly an issue when I bought it, games, well, I'm a console fanatic so I got most of my gaming fix on other devices yet still, before long I was getting drawn into the gaming apps and they are a great way to pass time don't get me wrong but I find myself no actually reading. Great deal anymore. My iPad has replaced practically every device I have, I listen to music on it so no more mp3 payer or CDs, I do all my social networking on it and its a rarity now for me to turn on the computer and its so easy to drop 2-3 hours on simple addictive games that I seem to have lost a lot of my 'real' gaming time pottering away on some random addictive attraction. I never really watched tv but less so now as I have all he news at my fingertips and despite having over 500 ebooks loaded onto my iPad, I may only actually read for half an hour a day. I'd recommend getting the model with all that stuff you don't think you'll need because in 6 months time you'll find the purpose you want it for is really only a tiny portion of the things you'll be doing with it.

What are the drawbacks of the Apple iPad mini with Retina display?

The Colour Galmut for the iPad Mini 2 (with Retina) is lower than the iPad Air and Air 2. In addition, Apple appears to have been forced to compromise on the device's size by making it thicker than the original iPad Mini. The situation is similar to when they released the iPad 3 and only only rectified with the iPad 4 and the iPad Air and Air 2. Does the lack of retina display in the iPad mini really matter?

No I love my iPad mini the way it is. It's perfect. I can't tell the differace retina non retina. My mom has the iPad 3 with retina I have and iPad mini. Side by side with a iPad 3 everything looks the same. Can't tell it's not a retina. Apple did great with iPad mini.

Will my iPad 4th generation with retina display work with my DJI Phantom 4?

I have already installed the app but i want to know if it will fit in my controller because I'm upgrading from the Phantom 3 Standard to the Phantom 4. Thanks

I have an iPad Air with retina display. I plan to use it for some design work. Are the colors of the retina display calibrated to be accurate to the eye?

Everyone's eyes are different. We don't all see exactly the same colours. I don't know if this display has adjustments, but that is the feature you'll need.A better question might be: how well does the Retina display match the Pantone colours? These are industry standard.
