Iphone 4s Ios Restore And Upgradation

I was upgrading my iPhone 4S to iOS 8 and the phone rebooted itself and is stuck in recovery mode. How can I recover the data? I have no recent backup.

I'm a sales rep at an AT&T store, and we flat out tell our customers who have anything older than an iPhone 5s NOT to upgrade to iOS 8. The software has not been optimized to run on the older iPhones. The best thing you can do in that situation is take the phone to Apple. It sounds like you may not be able to recover your data, but if the phone is still under warranty you're entitled to a free replacement from Apple. They're the ones who pushed software to your phone that crashed it.

How can I upgrade my iPhone 4s version 7.1.2 to version 8.0 or higher, and should I?

It is possible for you to update your iPhone 4S to (maximum) iOS 9.3.5. It is even possible to downgrade it to iOS 6.1.3.It is recommended that you update your iPhone Over-the-Air, or OTA. It will not directly update to iOS 9; it will first go to iOS 8.4.1., and then it will update your device to iOS 9.iOS Devices cannot update four years worth of software wirelessly. A problem is bound to occur, and Apple recognizes this, so it creates pit stops for this device, which is iOS 6.1.3. and iOS 8.4.1.That is why it's possible to downgrade to these iOS versions—Apple will never stop signing them OTA.

IPhone 4s is stuck in recovery mode trying to update to iOS 9.3.2?

You need to do as Chuck Rogers said, and put it in Recovery Mode, however use DFU mode, seeing as your Recovery (Restore) Mode does not work very well. It is exactly the same as Restore Mode, but allows you to Jailbreak, however it will also restore just fine. Here is a tutorial on how to:FP1B6A&bvm=bv.122676328,d.dGYThe 4S really shouldn’t have been supported by iOS 9 (Here goes my complaining again about people using old phones), The technology is just too old to support new firmware. It does of course, but let’s face it, Apple don’t do a very good job of keeping it stable. I see people all the time complaining that their 4S is slow.Anyway, put it in DFU mode, or try and do Chuck Rogers’s suggestion, and retry Restore Mode. To me it sounds as if the logic board is wasted, but it could just be a software problem. Let’s hope so.If you do take it in, just bite the bullet, and get a new phone. The Apple Store will almost certainly overcharge you, remember this is a phone from 2011, 5 years ago. It really should be priced as such.
