Iphone 4s Sticky Residue And Scratches

What causes ghost-touch on some smart phones with touch screens?

It depends on when it happens. If it only happens when you’re charging, it’s usually the result of using a poor-quality or damaged charger with too much ripple on the output. Try the charger and cable that came with the phone. If it happens when on batteries, it could be a dirty screen, or faulty digitizer.

Smartphones: Would using tempered glass over a cracked screen make it looks less broken?

Hi there, sorry to hear about your cracked screen. Unfortunately you won't be able to to mask the crack with a clear glass screen protector but will prevent it from further damage. However there are coloured glass screen protector available in the market for purchase. Matte glass screen protector will reduce visibility of the crack and protect it at the same time. You can find a variety of screen protectors on www.Amazon.com Good luck.

I have air bubbles in my iPhone 7 screen protector, how do I get rid of them?

First, see if they are really air bubbles or if there is dust between the protector and the screen. If they really are air bubbles then you can use a credit card wrapped in a soft cloth to press the air out. Just move from the center of the screen to the edge and repeat until the bubble has escaped. If you do this while there is something under the screen protector you risk damaging the protector or possibly (under rare circumstances) scratching the phone screen so make sure it is just air.If there is something under the protector such as dust then the process I really like is to take two pieces of tape. stick one to the nearest corner and use that to gently lift up the protector. Now take the second piece and slide it between the screen and protector with the sticky side facing the protector. Set the protector down onto the tape where the dust is stuck and then lift it back off. Remove the tape and set the protector back on the phone to inspect, you will likely have to repeat the process a couple of times to get everything out and after that there will likely be air bubbles that will need pressed out.

What is the black spot on my iPhone 5S lcd? Will it spread over the entire screen?

Hello!this generally happens only on IPS LCD displays not on AMOLED display due to presense of liquid.this happened to me when i was traveling with my asus zenfone and suddenly there was heavy rain, and my screen got giant black spot just like this!so if your mobile may have got wet then it must be the reason for that!yes, there are some solutions available, that you have to put the phone fully in the rice and after some hours (8–10) it will probably gone.follow the steps…1. Go to settings>general>auto-lock and select 'never'2. Go to settings>brightness&wallpaper and select auto-brightness 'off', then set brightness level to max!3. Connect charging cable and place phone in a bag or container completely submerged in instant rice (uncle bens worked for me)4. Allow a day or two of this drying out to occur and observe how the stains start changing and disappearing!just give it a try before spending 200$ on screen replacement!if worked hit upvote!

How can I fix my iPhone 4 rear camera lens that has become very scratched?

Had exactly the same problem and David's answer (McCloskey above) worked perfectly.  In fact I'd already bought a couple of lens replacement - on from the US on from Hon Kong - both easily found on e-bay.  The US supplier (http://www.ebay.com/itm/23067949...) sent the ideal part (I only bothered with th HK one cus he threw in the told including the fiddly screwdriver - I am not including their link cus they sent the 'giver with purchase but not the purchase item!!).Notes - the problem of prying the scratched cover is is testy.  Any degree of force does scratch th rear of the cover.  David's solution to use a sharpie to fill in such scratches works tho.  Better still to is to use a blunt plastic item - such as the end of a toothbrush - and just push the scratched lens from the outside.  it pops out ok - eventually! One thing also to note - you will need a TINY dab of some adhesive to hold the lens in place - I used a miniscule amount of silicon adhesive - too tiny for anything but a momentary grip as I put the backplate back on.Oh and I am only moderately confident in all this and it was surprisingly easy to do.

How do I remove moisture from my rear camera on my phone?

Are you asking this question, because you are seeing water droplets, on the camera glass? Do the droplets show in the photo’s as well? The best option right now for you is to take your phone to a service center as your phone is showing signs of water ingress. It is right now showing on the protective glass and may have creeped into the logic board as well and can permanently kill your phone, which would then be a pain to repair. The technician can open the phone safely and can dry it out properly and then reseal the phone so as to prevent water ingress problems in the future.Meanwhile, switch off your phone and place it in a container filled with rice overnight. This will help in reducing the moisture level within the phone. Do not blast the phone, with a hair dryer. Excess heat can kill the display permanently or damage the logic board, also the water vapour formed can affect other components inside.I would like to point out that most of the phones, that are advertised as waterproof, are actually only water resistant. Water damage of such phones are not included in the warranty and the user will have to bear the entire expenses. Apple and Samsung, both, do not cover water damaged phones under warranty.Hope this helps you out. With Regards

Do phone cases really protect your phone from damage?

Yes.I bought a Samsung S7, which basically has most of its body covered with glass. I also bought a more expensive leather case ( from urcover . de ).After 15 months, the leather case is pretty much worn down. It has some severe scratches on front and back, and in 2 of the 4 corners the leather is coming off. But: except for some dust around the buttons (which is really hard to get off), the phone looks brand new. Not a single scratch on it. Also no cracks, nothing (although the phone dropped more than once).I have seen a S7 that fell down without cover … and the backside glass had massive cracks. Samsung charges you several hundred Euros in Germany to fix that.My leather case cost me 30 Euros, and I never regretted buying it.Beyond that, the real trick is to:accept that you spend a lot of money for a beautiful, shiny phone, to then hide its beauty using a covergo down the full 9 yards - get a full case, with a cover that protects the front sideyes, accept that this sometimes impracticalunderstand that you have to do good research. Understand your “requirements”, and then carefully select that case that fits these requirementsacknowledge that quality doesn’t come for free. You spent several hundred dollars on the phone, so be willing to invest 20 to 40 bucks for your case!

What precautions should I take while removing dust trapped under an iPhone's screen protector?

Pull the screen protector off.Wad it up.Throw it away.Use your iPhone without the scratches and dirt which happen to the screen protector.Wonder why you ever put a screen protector on your iPhone in the first place.I have been using iPhones since launch day in 2007. I have regularly used the original, 3G, 4, 4s, 5s, 6s plus and now the 8 plus. I have never put a screen protector on any of them. I only use a case because my hands are dry and things tend to slip out of them.I those ten years, I have encountered the following:Broken screens - 0Scratched screens - 0Bent phones - 0Phones that got bent on the corner - 1 (This was the original, and it unclipped from a waistband holster clip while I was cycling and bounced on the pavement. I marked that cause of damage as “overly protective casing.” A normal case in a pocket would not have fallen!)
