Iphone 5 Not Charging Properly.

My iPhone 6 has been charging weirdly. It drops the battery even while plugged in and sometimes takes a while to charge. Why is this?

Thanks for your A2A.Why has your iPhone 6 battery been charging weirdly, losing its charge even when plugged in and taking too long to charge? It could be a combination of things. Anything from applications that are power hogs to a bad cable or bad charger, or even the USB source you are using for power isn’t providing enough to increase the charge.First thing to try: Plug it into a wall outlet instead of a computer. Make sure you are using an Apple certified charger and charging cable. If you aren’t using the ones that came with your iPhone, go to an Apple Store or anywhere Apple accessories are sold (Best Buy, Target, etc.) and buy a GENUINE Apple branded charger and/or cable. Another obvious thing to try is to completely shut the phone down for charging. If you do this and it still takes a long time to charge, it is either the cable, the charger (or the device into which you are plugging it for charging), or the iPhone itself.Next, restart your phone.Third, go to Settings -> Battery and scroll down to the Battery Usage section. Tap the Last 7 Days tab. What apps are using the most battery power? If anything has been using more than 25% of the battery consider turning off the background app refresh for that app in Settings -> General -> Background App Refresh. If neither of these things make a difference search the App Store for “Battery” and install one of the higher rated battery management apps. Finally, if all else fails, take your iPhone to an Apple Store or Authorized Apple Retail Center. They have diagnostic tools that can figure out if you have a bad battery.

Iphone case won't fit properly?

I have bought a gel iPhone 4 case that almost look like this but its not completely the same its just to give u an idea of what it looks like: http://killthemwithcuteness.com/jelly-belly-scented-iphone-5-

But the problem is that it wont fit on my iPhone 4s. Yes i know that you should prefereably not buy stuff thats not ment for your model of iphone but i couldnt find the right one. The case doesnt fit on the iphone 4s or my cousin's iphone 4 (on which the case is suppost to fit). You cab put the phone inside the case but the sides of the case dont cover the phone like its suppost to. Is there anything i can do make make it strech out or something to make it bigger? I know its a pretty weird question but i really need to know! (Remember its a flexible gel case)

My phone is not charging properly, what to do?

If you phone is not charging my first recommendation is to eliminate the possibility of a defective charger or defective cable . Since most of us have both a car charger and AC powered charger trying the other charger is the easiest way to determine if the suspect charger is defective.Removing the battery (ONLY on older non sealed phones) and reinstalling the battery is my second recommendation. If this does not resolve the issue an open battery is suspect and replacing same on non water resistant models is the last option for a do it yourself repair.

IPhone charger suddenly stopped working?

Are either ends of the cable twisted? This happens a lot to be honest but that's one key reason why a cable stops working - the best way to stop that is by making sure the cable does not twist too much in one direction or get tangled.

Also, look in the charging port or the charger, are the pins damaged? Is the liquid damage sensor red underneath the charging pins in the port on the phone.

Any more information?

Apple has a 1 year warranty on all products, but their warranty does not cover physical damage. Visit a local Apple Store for help.

How do you fix an iPhone that won't charge?

Hi ,My Answer would be looking little non technical at first view but its as per my own experience in my service center .So many time in iPhone after using more than 1 yr the Charging Connector Slot is full of Dust and Small Particles inside which do not allow the charging cable to get connected and the phone doesn’t get charged .You can Use a Toothbrush and try to clean it . Other Best tool would be a needle which will pull the bunch of dust out of the charging connector . Which will mostly solve your problem .2. Now after this if its still not charging then … Sorry but its a problem of the Charging Connector Flex Cable in 80% cases . Here I am not doing any specific discussion about the Lightening cable because its very common sense that first to be checked is obveously charging cable and charging dock . Soo You can approach any good service center for the replacement of the Charging Flex which won’t cost you much (In India app 1200 Rs for iPhone 5s ) …3. Even after this the problem is not solved then it would be a Charging IC Problem which will be really tough job for you to find the perfect technician .In these 2nd and 3rd case the Authorised Service center Apple care would suggest the Unit Replacement only but its very costly …Good Luck !!!

IPhone won t charge?

My phone ran out of charge, so i put it on the charger about an hour ago. When I hit the home button, the symbol that means the phone is charging comes up. However, that has been going on ever since I charged it. How can I fix this problem?

My iPhone 4 keeps alternating between charging and discharging every few seconds while plugged in. What could be the problem?

First replace the cable. If the pins are damaged or scratched they may not fit properly. My iPhone5 had this problem when the Lightning end was scratched. If it still continues, take the phone in to be looked at.
