Iphone 5c 8gb Worth It

How many GB's should I get on my iPhone?

I think 32 GB is reasonable. You never get crunched for memory and sacrifice deleting other apps/songs, yet 64 GB is a bit too much unless you're a music horder (like my friend who has 80GB of songs. Yes, 80)

And the fact that you have less than a GB left on your ipod shows you definitely need more room. 16 GB would just mean you've already used half the memory (and iphones don't work as well when they are almost full of memory, and ontop of that, your contacts and texts and everything adds more to your memory.)

100 dollars may seem like a bigger difference, but in the long run it's worth it.

The only thing, I believe, for which i would be hesitant in buying an iPhone 5C at Rs23000 is its memory. 8GB is less. My dad has a 5C. It works great, will be upgraded to iOS9, most probably to iOS10 (if that is what it will be called) too. The newer iPhones will give you better performance that you will notice, but wont matter greatly in your daily phone usage. The price of 5C and 5S, and of maybe 6 and 6+ wont be affected greatly after a new release. Officially, no drop in prices. So, if you know what you want, and 5C is that, go for it. It wont dissappoint you truly.UPDATE : Now you can buy an iPhone 5S at a price as low as Rs27000 (Gold). And that too the 16GB variant. 5C is still at around Rs20000, so if I were you, I would save a but more money, and buy the 5S.

No. I misplaced my iPhone 7+ at a music festival a couple weeks ago and had to use an iPhone 5C in its place for two weeks until a kind soul returned my phone to me.The 5C is staggeringly slow running modern apps and the screen resolution is surprisingly poor compared to modern Apple/Android phones. Unless you’re coming from something pretty archaic, technology has come a long way since the 5C.

My iphone only has 5gb worth of memory?

That's normal. The operating system and built-in apps take up the other space. It's actually using a very low amount- I remember when the Samsung Galaxy S4 was released, the 16 GB version came with just 8 GB of free storage because they had so much already installed on it. This one is only using about 3 GB because the storage has been used efficiently.

You can use Apple's iCloud service so you don't fill up the storage as quickly on your phone.

Iphone 5s vs iphone 5c?

No - the fingerprint scanner isn't the only difference. Here are the main differences between the iphone 5S and 5C:

Camera - The 5S' camera produces pics and vids with higher quality. The 5S' camera can shoot slo-mo vids - although the specs on apple.com shows a frame rate of 30 fps, the 5S is actually capable of shooting at 120fps when in slo-mo mode. The 5C can't do slo-mo vids. Also, the 5S' camera is more accurate in color representation (i.e. colors look more like they do in real life). Another thing that the 5S' camera does that the 5C's doesn't, is that every time you take a photo it actually snaps 10 photos and save the best one. You can use the 5S in burst mode to take several pics quickly one after another, for example when you're taking a pic of a group of people and you want to have at least one pic where nobody's blinking.

Processor (i.e. Speed) - The 5S has a much more powerful processor than the 5C does. If you play games on your phone at all, you'll find that the 5S is twice as fast.

Fingerprint Scanner - The 5S has a fingerprint scanner that allows you to unlock your phone without having to punch in the 4-letter passcode, and to confirm your appstore purchases just by putting your finger on the home button. The 5C does not have this feature.

Casing Material - The 5S is made of aluminum. The 5C is made of plastic.

Color - The 5S is available in gold, silver and space gray. The 5C is available in green, blue, pink (which actually looks more like red), yellow, and white.

Price - This is the only aspect where the 5C has an advantage over the 5S - the 5C costs $100 less.

These are the major differences - for the more minor differences please refer to:

So, if you want the extra features that the 5S has (listed above) and you feel they're worth the extra $100, choose the iphone 5S. Otherwise, go with the 5C and save $100. If you've got a minute, here's a quiz that can help you with your decision:

I would actually direct you to the iPhone SE, as if has the newer electronics (same as the 6S series), at an entry level price. Now that the iPhone 7 has been released, the price for the SE is lower than it was. It used to be $400-500 usd, depending on which capacity you wanted (16GB v 64GB). It's worth comparing the price of the 5 you're thinking of purchasing to getting a brand new device with a warranty. Used devices usually don't have a warranty against defects.

No it is not a good option. You can go for 5S.

Right now, no. The iPhone 5c is exactly the same as the iPhone 5. This means there is a great possibility that it is discontinued for updates when the iPhone 5 gets discontinued. Plus, with soooo many people switching to the large screen iPhone 6 and 6 plus, there is no reason you should buy the 4- incher. Moreover, you do not get support for Touch ID, or the motion coprocessor, so you can't develop really cool apps using data from them. I would say you should go for the latest iPhone - coz if developers aren't willing to upgrade, why will the people buy?

I would suggest that you get an iPhone with a higher capacity. The amount of memory that you will actually have is around 6 or 7 GB. That combined with the fact that the download size for iOS 8 was 4.6 GB is enough to convince me that you should have a higher capacity. Although if you are going to get it anyway here are some tips to keep yourself  from going crazy. When you have to update your phone don't just start deleting things, instead plug your phone into your computer and download the update through iTunes. Use Google drive, DropBox, and Amazon Cloud storage to store your photos, and other files in the cloudGet a higher data plan with your phone carrier Instead of downloading music on your device use spotify to stream it (will use more data)Every once in a while clear the memory your apps use by going into settings menuI hope this answers your question.
