Iphone Keeps Asking To Login To Yahoo Even Though I Can Get Mail. How Can I Get This To Stop

Yahoo email stopped working on iPhone - incorrect user name or password for "imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com"?

This has happened to me as well. I noticed sometime this morning that it said "user name or password for imap.apple.mail.yahoo.com is incorrect." I powered off the phone and back on. No change. Deleted the account and tried to set it up again. After filling in the required fields to setup the account again and pressing "next" it tries to verify the info and the shows the message "The connection to the server "apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com" on port 993 timed out. After messing with it more I noticed somehow it kept removing a couple characters off of the end of my password each time I tried to log-in.

Calendar stopped syncing with my iPhone. Keeps asking for a CalDAV password for Yahoo Calendar.?

January 3, 2012 from Yahoo Support

...Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Calendar.

I understand you are getting the error message and stopped the sync your
new Yahoo! calendar with the iPhone/iPad. I aopo

If you recently upgraded the operating system on your iDevice (iPhone,
iPad, iPod Touch) such as with the recent release of iOS 5 software for
Apple iDevices that could be the cause of the syncing issues.

You can delete the Yahoo! account from your Apple iDevice and recreate
it, forcing a new sync, which should bring all your information over
from Yahoo! Calendar.

Please note that CalDAV accounts are no longer needed on your iDevice to
sync with Yahoo! Calendar and you may delete the CalDAV account if you
have it set up on your iDevice. If you have a CalDAV account set up and
do not delete it from your iDevice, you risk getting duplicate calendar
layers & events on your iDevice and in Yahoo! Calendar.

To remove your Yahoo! Calendar CalDAV account from your iDevice:

Yahoo Calendar has stopped syncing with my iPhone and Macbook?

email and contacts sync fine, but I can't get the calendar info to sync at all. No Yahoo calendars show up for me to select in the calendar app on the iPhone 5 (iOs 6.1.3), and on the MacBook, I get an error message when I open the calendar app that says "The URL https://caldav.calendar.yahoo.com/principals/users/[username]/ encountered HTTP error 404. Make sure the URL is correct." (Except the message has my real user name in it.)

Everything was working fine a few days ago. Anyone know what's wrong?

Why does Yahoo keep asking me to prove that I am not a robot?

Who’s to say you’re NOT a robot, hmmm??? Lol I kid, but the only reason being is that there are hackers out there that have developed limited-capability Artificial Intelligences that can assist them with hacking. While the actual hacker works on a super-secure site, the robots can go around and do the grunt work of breaking into the less-secure websites. The biggest key to noticing them is that the mouse moves around very robotically, nor can a robot detect pictures’ details (since these are just strings of code to the robot, not a picture of something). Thus, the secure websites ask you this to make you move your mouse in a non-uniform motion, which a robot cannot mimic for the time being.

How can I stop Yahoo! from asking repeatedly for my password when I'm using email?

You could save the password when your browser asks if you'd like to. Outside of that, Yahoo is trying to protect you. It's annoying, yes. But it's to keep unwanted people out of your account. It's relatively easy to steal a cookie or tamper with a session and gain access to your account. Sometimes the things that annoying most do the most for us. Brake lights on the interstate, for instance.
