Of course. Instead of 5mp you get 8mp camera on ipod 6. Plus, the price is are not much different from the previous ipod. Indeed they are kinda gone but ipod touch are for people who want to experience the ios. If you compare the ipod from the iphone, the only obvious differences are the telephony function and mobile data. But the prices have big gap between them. Bottom line, if you want to know ios better, how it works, apps compability, and the performance without buying an iphone, then ipod touch is the best option.

Anything no to receive a new OS will be discontinued even before the OS is unveiled.Secondly, it's role in the iOS line-up more as a booster to the 32GB 5th-gen iPod touch more than anything. For all other iOS devices, $100 more than the base price adds just 16GB of storage. With this one though, for $70, you get that storage, a brilliant camera and the loop, not to mention. Host of colours to choose from. It is no secret that with tag lines like 'Engineered for maximum funness', the iPod touch is aimed at kids and teens. By changing the difference between the low end and high end iPods to something so necessary to the target market, Apple is basically increasing the ASP of the iPod.On the other hand, the rumoured cheap iPhone is aimed at capturing that huge market which at current price cannot afford an iPhone. The only constraints it is subject to is price. If Apple feels that a cheap iPhone is necessary to the point that it dares to venture out of its comfort zone of top-of-the-line premium products, it sure as hell will not leave out such an obvious and important, if not necessary feature.So, in summation, if the cheap iPhone does exist, you can stop worrying about it not having a camera.

With pictures and video? Almost never enough. After a year, pictures and video will likely have taken up most of the space. I don't take that many pictures but after about 6 months, I've apparently accumulated about 4 gigs worth of photos/videos.My music library is currently floating around 8 gigs with over 2000 songs.If make it a habit of backing up your pics/vids on your PC (or Mac) and you treat your music library more like a very large playlist that needs occasional updating and you don't download tons of apps, you should be fine with a 16gb.Apple thankfully has stopped producing iPhones with 8gb memory but I would say they really need to stop making those with 16gb as well.

iPhone 5S was launched in September 2013. So basically it is 4 years older by now. I am using one myself. My iPhone 5S is running on iOS 10.3.3 and I am not going to update my OS to iOS 11. Here are some points I would like to mention.The Fingerprint (Touch ID) detection and response has become quite slow. It usually takes 2 seconds to detect my fingerprint and unlock the phone. It is not blazing fast.I have observed significant lag in launching applications like Chrome, GoIbibo, Uber in recent times.I am constantly using my phone over 4G network for internet browsing. Believe me, I have to charge my phone thrice a day. Battery drains out pretty quickly over 4G network.(Note: my iPhone battery capacity has reduced to 1450mAh.)Playing heavy duty game is nearly not feasible incase of iPhone 5S because it heats off the back of phone and also drains the battery.Also now I am feeling like the display is pretty small while compared to other phones. It feels very tiny in hand. Also watching videos in such a small screen will not provide you much satisfaction.I recommend you not to but iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 at this point of time. If you want to use iOS atleast go for iPhone SE or iPhone 6S.It would be far better if you choose to buy iPhone 7 or above. It will be future proof for atleast next 2 years.Happy Reading…!!!
