Ipod Thats Not Updated

IPod can't be updated. What do I do?

nicely the explanation why they deleted the songs replaced into by using fact an blunders befell on an identical time as you have been attempting to replace it. so what i think of they did is they restored it. and once you "fix" your ipod, meaning that it repaired lots of the damages which you extra to it, and it directly deletes all of the data and stuff out. so as that's what happened to it. now ...."what to do with reference to the songs which you lost?"..... thats what you're advertising employer. the two you get carry of them lower back or memorize the songs you lost and purchase them off of itunes. sorry! atleast i informed you why your ipod replaced into empty!

Which ipod you got? There are many reason. Need the which model you got with you help you with this question.'I own a ipod touch 2gb and on it the last version ever came was 4.2.1 and that's the final update ever came. Can't be upgrading to any later versions.'So need more details.

Here are a few things to disable in order to improve performance:Background app refresh - this option is located in Settings>General>Background App RefreshNow, you can disable most of the apps in the list, leaving only the ones that you use regularly. For best performance gain however you should turn the feature off completely.Location services - this one is in Settings>Privacy>Location servicesI would suggest disabling this completely as it will increase battery life as well as performance. Of course, you can leave a few apps on letting them use your GPS, but the performance gain will be lower.Disabling the Weather app in this menu will result in no Weather extension in the Notification CenterSpotlight search - located in Settings>General>Spotlight SearchUnticking all apps from the list in this menu should increase performance a little. You can also consider enabling the following options:Reduce motion - located in Settings>General>Accessibility>Reduce MotionThis feature will turn off parallax effect on your wallpaper and also disable the zoom-in/out animations when navigatin in and out of apps. Additionally, menus won't move as you tilt your device a bit, which could result in extending battery life. However, keep in mind that the fade-in/out animations are actually longer than the zoom-in/out ones, making the former feel slower and less responsive.Increase contrast - located in Settings>General>Accessibility>Increase ContrastThis option will disable the transparency in the UI, greatly increasing the responsiveness and smoothness of the menus and their animations. A downside of this is that the dock will appear gray regardless of your wallpaper and so will the Control Center. The Notification Center will be black.Writing from an iPhone 4S, which has the same SoC as the iPod Touch 5th generation, running iOS 9, I can say that it is slightly better than iOS 8, but not all that much—the devices in question are old and so Apple and app developers don't necessarily prioritize them when optimizing the software.Optimal iOS version for your device while you wait for iOS 9 is iOS 7.1.2, or iOS 6.

If i update my software on my ipod, will stuff thats only on my ipod delete? i dont have my music on my itunes.?

When you plug your pod into the computer it will sync all your stuff to iTunes ie. It saves all this on your computer. May take a while to do since it's not been done yet. And usually the default settings iTunes has will put everything back on the pod. You can go through each category ( music, video, photos) and cheak or uncheak what you want. I have wifi so I don't know if you can update it that way but either way it goes your touch will not delete anything unless you yourself deletes it

Please help with iPod update!?

properly the explanation why they deleted the songs became because of the fact an blunders got here approximately while you have been attempting to replace it. so what i think of they did is they restored it. and once you "restoration" your ipod, meaning that it repaired the extremely some damages which you dropped at it, and it right now deletes each and every of the records and stuff out. so as that's what occurred to it. now ...."what to do related to the songs which you lost?"..... thats your enterprise. the two you receive them returned or memorize the songs you lost and purchase them off of itunes. sorry! atleast i informed you why your ipod became empty!

Ipod will not update! Please help!?

well the reason why they deleted the songs was because an error occurred while you were trying to update it. so what i THINK they did is that they restored it. and when you "restore" your ipod, that means that it repaired some of the damages that you brought to it, and it automatically deletes all the files and stuff out. so THAT'S what happened to it. now ...."what to do about the songs that you LOST?"..... thats YOUR business. either you download them again or memorize the songs you lost and buy them off of itunes. sorry! atleast i told you why your ipod was empty!

IPod Touch apps won't update?

this sounds like you have a firewall issue thats blocking the port that the itunes store uses. logging into your itunes store account and authorising your computer (via the store menu) BEFORE plugging in the ipod

it needs the following ports free:-

52,53,4555,5291,6356,6385 and if using sharing of libraries:- 3689 & 5353
if this is a firewall port issue..

Treat your ipod as a computer TURN it OFF regularly rather than just sleep and as it restarts it will clear any built up cache and memory errors. these are 99% of the reason for problems. in the same way a PC benefits from a restart. this also clears errors from browsing web pages etc.

always turn it off (using power OFF slider) before loading a larger APP, then turn it on, load the app using the sync then turn it off then turn it on and it should work OK.

Some Apps will only install on creation firmware versions (some 2.x some 3.x) check the individual reviews of the App to see if there is an issue.

Also certain APPS will only install after the ipod has been turned OFF, restarted, App installed then turned OFF again (normal reason)

Failing that after a restart - remove the bad apps from the ipod.. RESTART it, then add them again in itunes, RESTART and see if that cures it , failing that try a RESTORE or UPDATE in itunes...
