Should I get an iPhone 4 or IPod touch 3 generation for my music?
If u r a music lover, ipod touch is the best thing u can get at budget price. I use both iphone & ipod touch , ipod touch’s sound quality is far better than iphone. Ipod 3 is lighterthan iphone 4s, wich provides better battery backup. (Keep in mind, 3rd gen ipod is not good for gaming, u’ll face nightmare in finding apps, u have to jailbreak it, so that u can find & install apps from google - installation requires itools or alternatives on ur pc). If music is ur target, there is nothing betterthan Ipod touch at this price range.
Why won't the 4th Generation iPod Touch get iOS 7?
Because the 4th generation iPod touch does not support iOS 7. It only supports up to iOS 6.1.6. I would recommend getting a new iOS device, to support the latest version of iOS, iOS 9.3.2, and future versions of iOS, including iOS 10. After all, iOS 7 isn't much newer than iOS 6, as it is three years old.
Should I upgrade my 5th generation iPod Touch to iOS8 or is it likely to be horrifically slow?
In short, yes I would recommend it.The fifth generation iPod touch is quite a machine and is more than able to handle the new software. Also not to mention the new features of iOS 8 such as the health app, family sharing and continuity if you own a Mac.One thing to note is that if you upgrade you cannot downgrade back to iOS 7 so to speak.But otherwise go for it!

The ipad mini and iPod touch 5 r the same thing. I have an iPod touch 4 and iPad mini and they both work great. The Samsung galaxy player seems good and the nexus 7 is alright too. I reccomend the iPad mini.

You’re lucky. You can jailbreak your iPod Touch 5th gen by Phoenix JB. But the problem is that its semi-untethered (DUH!)Heres the official link: Phoenix Jailbreak for iOS 9.3.5 32-Bit You are going to have to use Cydia Impactor to sideload it, and the certificate will last for 7 days.But if you want to download it from the iPod directly (without a computer) then use this: phoenixJB (no pc) but this method is discouraged by the developer of Phoenix since it may have malware. And the no pc jb method link has Version 3 of Phoenix, while latest version is V4. However, this method works until Apple revokes the certificate, which might be longer than 7 days, and I didn’t have any problems with the no-pc method. Upto you. Enjoy the jailbreak! ;)P.S most (not all) tweaks of iOS 9.3.3 are comptatible with Phoenix.
IPod 4th generation? HELP PLEASE.?
So my sister gave me her old iPod, and I reset it to default factory settings. I get that this is an old iPod. Anyways, I tried downloading snapchat, instagram, picsart etc., and it says I need to update my device to ios 7 to get these apps. I go to settings to see if the software is up to date, and it is. Except it's current system is at 6, not 7. Apparently, the only way to get ios 7 on a 4th generation iPod is to jailbreak your iPod, which I don't want to do, really. So does this mean I can't download anything on this iPod? This is ridiculous :(
