Can someone please tell me the customs and traditions of iraq?

That's a pretty generalized question. I would do some research on that one. For us, it took several hour long "cultural awareness" classes to get trained in all the customs and traditions of the Iraqi's. This is the "pocket referrence" card we get issued though, so it might help:

What is the difference between an Arab and someone from Iran,Iraq,Afghanistan,or Pakistan etc..?

Arabs are a tribe of people who trace their ancestry back to the original people who lived on the Arabian Peninsula and speak Arabic. Many live in primarily Arabic-speaking countries like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Libya, and the UAE.

Calling yourself "Arab" is more about geneology and heritage than politics. Countries are about politics, so Iraq is a country, but it is mostly populated by Arabs and is part of the Arab League.

Iran was conquered by the Arab empire hundreds of years ago, so their written language looks like Arabic, but Iranians speak Persian (Farsi) and the written language is not the same as Arabic. They do not associate themselves ethnically with Arabs although there are many Arabs living in Iran.

Afghanistan's languages are Pashto and a Persian dialect and also they do not consider themselves to be Arabs because their tribe is called Pashtun.

Pakistan speaks English and Urdu and has a lot of different ethnic tribes, and they do not trace their origins to the Arabian Peninsula, so they are not Arabs.

What are some Jewish Yemenite traditions?

* The Jewish Yemenite prayer book (the "Tiklal") is completely different from the Ashkenazi and Sephardic prayer books. rMb"M (Maimonides) always referred to the text in the Yemenite prayer book.
* The pronunciation of all Hebrew prayers, Torah reading, etc.,used by Yemenite Jews, is believed to be the pronunciation used by the Jews in the First Temple era.
* There is no established cantor or Torah Reader (Baal Kore) in the synagogue. Every Shabbat or holiday the Rabbi invites congregants to serve as cantors or Torah Readers.
* The Jewish Yemenite ancient tradition is rich with literature and poetry. The greatest Yemenite poet, Rabbi Shalom Shabazi, J.O.B.M., wrote religious songs, reflecting the longing of the Jews of Yemen for Jerusalem, and Yemenite folk songs.
* The Yemenite culture is a way of life which affects every activity, day and night, at home or school, and in the synagogue.
-The Yemenite Hebrew has been studied by researchers many of whom believe it to contain the most ancient phonetic and grammatical features, from the early days of the first Temple. Many ancient Hebrew manuscripts were copied and preserved in Yemen. The Yemenite community is the most literate of all Jewish communities when it comes to the Bible and the prayers.
- Yemenite wedding customs, which include the "henna" ceremony are nowadays accepted and combined with Sephardi and Ashkenazi rituals
- The Yemenite culture and art are especially famous for their garments and jewelry. The Yemenite embroidery, and of course the Yemenite food. The craft of weaving - the Yemenite weavers wove fabrics, carpets, and also prayer shawls
- Musical and artistic talents of the Yemenite Jewry are impressively represented. The "Yemenite step" is danced successfully in many Israeli folk dances. The Yemenite melodies and singers are today the most prominent elements in the Jewish and Israeli music.

What are some cultural differences between Canadians and Americans?

Oh, jeez, where to begin? Well, I guess at the beginning. The US of A was founded in a long bitter revolutionary war which was the start of two cultural strains that continue to this day; first: the glorification of war and everything to do with the military and second the culture of guns and the solving of problems by using them or at least by use of force.Canada, in contrast, was founded almost 150 years ago by a couple of dozen politicians meeting over a number of years to petition their parent country to become a self governing dominion of the Queen, (Victoria at the time). Over the next 120 years or so Canada evolved from a self governing colony to a fully independent nation culminating in the patriation of our constitution from England in the 1980’s. Although our record in the first and second world wars paved the way to that independence it never resulted in a strong military tradition. In fact after WW 2 Canada was totally independent albeit with the lack of that pesky constitution thing. So Canada evolved via a culture of talking out our problems and while those words sometimes become heated and threatening as in the Anglophone-Francophone debates that really caused consternation in the second half of the twentieth century but except for one brief episode in 1971 never became violent.Another way to define our differences is in the unofficial words that explain our values. In the US it’s “"Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness”. In other words the freedom of the individual is above all else. Ergo, the right to bear arms and the resistance to government control. In Canada it’s “"Peace, Order and Good Government”. in other words the good of the community comes before that of the individual and most Canadians grow up with a feeling of being responsible for each other. Ergo, universal Medicare and being open to common sense change such as dropping the useless dollar bills for coin and the penny entirely or like adopting the metric system, (still struggling with that though). The other differences are well documented by others - some more humerous than totally accurate - so I wont belabour the points. But I hope I've made a case for our deep rooted cultural difference.

What are the cultural similarities and differences between Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan?

Saudi Arabia and Iraq are “Arab” countries that share a common language and “base arabic culture” that comes along with the language. Iran and Afghanistan both have the same language- Dari In Afghanistan which is the older version of Farsi in Iran. Both have long history together as they were both part of Persian Empire.Pakistan and Pakistanis have much more in common with India than they do with the other countries mentioned in this question, however, many pakistanis are wannabe persians and arabs when they speak a different language and are mainly (not all) much darker skinned than Iraqis/Persians and other middle eastern and central asian people.
