Is 50 Shades Of Grey Realistic

50 shades of grey vs twilight?

50 Shades is worse in my opinion because it is just so free of any redeeming content at all. Twilight tried to have a story, with the vampires and stuff. My advice would be to read just about any romance novel instead, any one would be a better story.

Am I too young to read 50 shades of grey?

Nobody of any age needs to read that book. It is poorly written junk.

Is Christian Grey from Fifty Shades of Grey real?

Maybe! Anything is possible! But according to EL James (author of fifty franchise) , it's just a fictional character inspired by some businessman(in terms of money, building , cars etc). Bdsm , idk. If he was real, every one would love to date him! ( Every one loves C grey! C'mon don't lie!) . Who doesn't loves a guy, who's okay with your periods( also removes tampons), is amazing in all ways, brings you flowers, doesn't date anyone (doesn't have an eye for any other girl)!

Is Fifty Shades of Grey realistic?

So much no.Take Christian Grey. A self made billionaire at the age of 27. Who somehow has time to play with helicopters and stalk Ana. Er, no. Big business CEOs are always on, with no time to relax. From a BDSM point of view, he's a terrible Dom. Way too much messing about with the contract and not enough attention to consent.Ana, the virgin who never thinks about men? Yeah right. And who has an orgasm while giving her first blow job?

Opinions on 50 Shades of Grey?

I need to rant, and I'd like to hear what you think about this. I'll apologize in advance to fans, but come on... How can anyone actually enjoy this story? I'm not against stories having sex. Whatever. I'm 19, I can handle nakedness. What I can't stand about this story is everything BUT the sex. Here's my opinion, feel free to ignore it.

1. The language is awful. My example: The line "My heartbeat picked up, and my medulla oblegata neglected to fire any synthases to make me breathe." Like what the hell did I just read? A text book? There's another line where the author literally says "His voice was like melted chocolate caramel mocha... or something." And I just being picky here, or is that horridly amateurish writing? Literally, the entire story is written like this. It's like the author had sex with a dictionary and spewed its babies all over her story. I could go on and on about that alone...

2. The characters are horribly underdeveloped. I wanted to slap Anastasia across the face every time she said "Wholey Cow" or mentioned her inner goddess.. Its actually disturbing in a way, that she's so easily seduced and controlled by Christian.. He creeps me out. Honestly, he's a stalker. Not only that, but Ana is 21, didn't have an email address, had never held a man's hand before she met Christian, and apparently didn't own a skirt. I mean.. Its so unrealistic.

3. The sex. As I've mentioned before, I'm not against sex, but this story has no plot BESIDES graphic, poorly worded, and awkward to read sex. I'm not going to get into detail about that, but it gets to the point where it borders on pornographic, and 12 year olds are reading this garbage... As an aspiring author, this trend that such a horrible story can get popular just because there's a ton of sex really bothers me... What do you guys think of this story?

Is 50 shades of grey appropriate?

It really depends on what you already read and what you're comfortable with. I personally would not have felt comfortable reading it at 14. It contains some BDSM that whilst not /graffic/ is well described. The main thing I'm uncomfortable about in saying "go for it and read it" to a 14 year old is that it is something of a misogynistic book. It's a VERY weak main female character, with VERY little character development, and an emotionally abusive main male. The more mature audience it's meant for can see this as a fiction, and not something to aspire to.

Basically, I'd say no, give it a skip for a while. It's not a very interesting story anyways. Re-read (or read for the first time) Twilight, and it's the same basic quality of story. I'm all for non censorship, and if you really want to go for it, I just don't think it's really a good enough story to bother with. The only reason I read it is because I wanted something really light and stupid to read while I worked my way through some George Orwell and Marie Shelly.

Listen to Kelley (and not only because we have the same name :P) It's REALLY poorly written. And the constant references to an Inner Goddess more than once made me want to throw my e-reader at the wall.

Why do people like Fifty Shades of Grey?

I personally hate it- aswell as all of your stated points, the writing is just terrible, I couldn't get past the first twenty pages. But i expect- without trying to stereotype people (even though I blatantly am)- most of the books' audience is probably constructed of housewives and teenage girls who feel the need to fulfill their desires or some sh*t like that. I do understand why some people might like it, but I think it's a lot like twilight- a book with many crazy fans that insist you just don't understand, and something that is highly overrated.
