Is A 2000 Toyota Celica A Good Choice When Buying A Car

Toyota celica good car?

Yes, you should definetly be able to get 200,000 miles out of it. I owned a 91 Celica with over 280,000 miles on it (still ran great when I sold it, the clutch was just starting to go out, and I didn't feel like dealing with it), they have a different series engine than the newest Celica's, but Toyotas in general are very reliable. Also, My boyfriend's dad has an 81 Celica, and and he just rebuilt the engine last year, it had well over 600,000 miles on it, and he only rebuilt it because it had started burning a lof of oil, but it was still running.

I currently own two Corollas with over 260,000 miles on them, and they run great. Just make sure you take good care of it, and it should last you a very long time.

Is a 2000 toyota celica gt a good first car?

I would say any car that isn't your parent's van it's a girl's car. The insurance will be expensive because you are a teen on any sport car, even if it isn't the fastest in the world. I think the price is fair and it is a nice first car if you can get it. You can always have your parents as the first driver and have you as a secondary driver. Handling is fine and speed it is more than fast enough for someone with the lack of experience behind the wheel that you have.

Is the Toyota Celica a good first car?

Sounds good to me. That is in the mileage range I prefer for used cars; at 50K miles it is hard to tell how a car has been treated and at 100K miles it is hard to hide. A badly treated car will barely make 100K miles while a properly maintained car should make it 200-300K miles.

Have a mechanic look it over and if it passes, happy driving!

Is toyota celica good for winter?

2000 Toyota Celica good car for a teenage driver?

Uhhh... the Celica isn't that powerful. I don't know why everyone thinks its such a sports car.

But no. I think it's perfect for a young driver. It's got great handling, a lot of fun to drive, and it's pretty good looking too.

Why can't Toyota make good looking cars?

Well, I don’t know what exactly Toyota’s design strategy is, but one thing is for sure that in an effort to come up with a unique design for their automobiles, the car manufacturer surely has lost its way. The fourth generation of Toyota’s iconic hybrid vehicle, Prius is one fine example in this regard that has failed to lure buyers owing to its poor design. The design screams ECO car rather making it look like a vehicle that is fun to drive. And customers don’t want a car that shouts I am different or I am electric. In fact, the design is a major reason why the latest Prius fails to depict excellent sales this year. According to the reports, the Toyota Prius is witnessing worst sales year after 2004. During this decade, the hybrid car has seen sales of more than 140,000 units in the past two years. However, this year just 50,911 units of Prius have been bought by the customers through the third quarter. And analysts are of the view that it may finish 2017 at 70,000.If the prediction came true it will be far lower than what Prius has bagged during last year (managed 98,863 sales in 2016). In the meantime, the Ford Fusion Hybrid that was nonentity and used to never hold a candle to it, witnessed staggering sales as the vehicle outsold it once again last month.Coming back to the design, the exterior of the 2017 Prius is vaguely Chevy Voltish with a weird looking high rear deck that is sloping forward. The front is bit pointy and the Cadillac-esque angles are all over the place, while lights are thrown on like ninja stars, which doesn’t make it look attractive at all. It’s no Aston Martin and perhaps it is why a large majority of the people decided not to buy it.Yet, the chief designer of the car, Shunsaku Kodama says the vehicle is pretty good looking and it strikes their eyes.

What is a good price for a 2000 Toyota Celica GT with 134,000 miles on it?

Probably 2–3 thousand, tops.Between 2000 (1999) and 2003 (early 2003), Toyota had major problems with their 1ZZ-FE engines burning oil, due to the oil drains for the pistons being incredibly small, and without constant oil changes with high-quality synthetic, the holes would get clogged leading to the piston rings not being able to keep all the oil off the cylinder walls.Even if the engine has been replaced, people often don’t know the root cause of that problem, and replace the engine with one that has the identical problem. It is still worth buying, however, especially if the oil burning hasn’t become especially problematic. You can do a bottom end rebuild with the revised pistons, and be well on your way.Still, that takes time and money. If it’s in good shape, 2–3 thousand. At least where I live. Based on “miles” it’s safe to assume you’re in the US, anyway.

Is a 2000 Toyota Celica GT a safe car?

The NHTSA gave this car a 4 for both frontal & side crash tests. 5 is the best score possible. Come to think of it, I think it might have had the best crash test scores in its class that year.

Rest assured, this is a safe car.

2000+ Toyota Celica Insurance and More?

First of all your a minor. Any car you drive that is insured under your name is going to cost a lot of money a month. Second of all your going to get a 2 door sports car and insurance is going to skyrocket even more. There going to look at it this way a minor in a 2 door sports=big disaster waiting to happen. Your going to be looking at least 200-250 for full coverage a month. If you can afford it go for it if not you might want to think about driving a truck or granny vehicle till you get a little older

Is a 2000 Toyota Celica GT Considered A Sports car when in comes to paying insurance?

Yes the Celica is, but not every coupe is considered a sports car. The Solara is a coupe and it's not considered a sports car as well as the Civic and Accord coupes. Your best bet is to make a list of cars you're considering purchasing and call your insurance company.
