Is A Post Graduate Accounting Diploma Program Worth It

Is it worth of doing post graduation diploma from Canada college?

Absolutely worth ! . Education system in canada is pretty good .  It slots enough period for a student to identify his field of interest . What Indian education system follow is to opt for  PG just after Graduation .An engineer students are doing MBA without knowing their field of interest & even market requirements. But in canada , people usually completes their UG & then opt for Post graduation diploma which is obviously  more practically approached .  Some diploma also have CO OP (Internship) options . A very good  opportunity for  students to work in market . And after  2-3 years of work exp , they can go for proper full time PG in your specified field of interest. The average age is 30-32 for PG in Canada n they call you Over Qualified if you complete your PG without work exp. There are some good colleges are there , Humber, George Brown , Fan shawe ,etc.

How good is a post-degree diploma in accounting from Langara College, Vancouver BC, Canada?

Unless u r damn sure that u want to pursue the accounting designation like CPA and willing to grunt through all the post diploma study (more study even after u get the certificate), otherwise, it’s just going to be seen as a value adding bonus in ur resume. It’s not a bad thing to have but not essential. Depending which field u r in. If u r in finance, it’s very welcomed. If not, it’s may be good for promotions within company. But like i said, it’s not that essential.

Is it worth doing a Graduate diploma in New Zealand level 7 for an Indian student?

Firstly, do a research on the Institution of your choice because the education industry in NZ has dramatically grown. University colleges deliver quality education and it is worth in NZ as well as internationally. If you cannot afford to have University education, go for Government funded education providers (Category 1 educational providers recognized by NZQA). If you are unlucky though, be wise when choosing a Private Training Establishments known as “PTE” as your last option. PTE’s are private polytechnics offering practical learning that leads to employment rights post study as what your Agents often interpret and recommend. If you do not do a research or have questions for your Agents about your learning outcome and future career opportunities, they would simply get you an Offer of place at any of these PTE’s because they are PTE agents.Life in NZ: Most of the migrants end up taking over odd jobs right from the start of their study and even during post study work permit. I can confidently say that 95% of students are performing hospitality jobs which are of mainly commercial cleaning, stacking and packing in supermarkets, old age cares, labor at construction sites etc. No matter how well experienced you are in your profession, but your valuable experiences from the overseas do not add value to your job applications. A lot of agents paint a rosy picture about study permit, express entry and the land of infinite fortunes. Little do they disclose about the fact that your international experience and education is not enough to secure a job. Once we try and get a NZ credential and start applying for jobs, there comes a statement - no NZ experience!!!There are many people like me who came to NZ either on study or as immigrants with a hope for a better lifestyle. Almost all are frustrated to the fact that what next!!!While NZ is a great place to live, the economy is predominantly dependent on Tourism and Dairy industries but has scarcity of potential job opportunities. If you are an aspiring student or immigrant and still ready to face challenges, you are most welcome. NZ is one of the beautiful and safest place to live your life.

What is the difference between PGDIM(Post graduate diploma in management) and MBA is PGDIM is valid in USA.?

I am quoting another answer from Yahoo Answers.

An MBA will enable you to go for higher studies, should you feel like it later on. A PGPM cannot get you into say, a doctoral level programme in management, even if your employer sponsored your higher studies in management. You would not even be eligible to apply. And I don't think you will be able to call yourselves a postgraduate, as you will not have a postgrad degree if you were to enroll for the PGPM. The PGPM is not a degree, it is just a certificate awarded showing that you have successfully completed the Post Graduate Program in Management of that particular institution. I doubt it if it will be recognised abroad, which might prove to be a hindrance for getting plum management postings overseas.

An MBA is awarded by a government recognised university.

Even the IIMs provide only PGPM, as they do not have university status, but I don't really see their graduates getting into Ph.D. / DBA programs abroad. Not that they have to. With the outrageous pay packages offered, one would have to be crazy to leave all that behind to study further. But it is my understanding that even if they wanted to, they couldn't, as they would not meet the minimum eligibility requirements.

Hope I made the difference clear.

Is pursuing a 1 year online post graduate certificate program from any IIM's or MICA or MDI worth for career growth and job opportunity perspective?

MBA is a graduate or post graduate degree?

I think you are asking about vocabulary. A graduate degree and a post graduate degree is the same thing. We should say post graduate, but we shorten it to graduate for convenience.

I wish to pursue a post-baccalaureate diploma in Finance at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in Canada. How good is this course & the university?

First of all, I think TRU would be a good choice if you like small classes and a small campus (compared with other more renowned universities) as well as being in a small city with a small population (approx. 80,000 people).Second, students have easy access to the professors so you can discuss further academic matters with someone who can actually help you.I didn't do finance, so I can't fill you in about the program. But I think you'll have a great experience if you decide to go there.Let me know if you have more questions.
