Is Algebra Advance 1 Hard

Is Advanced Algebra 2 hard?

Algerba is hard for many people because it is abstract and not commonly presented well.
Your teacher has confidence in you, so I suspect you will do well, if you consistantly work at it and ALWAYS stay several weeks ahead in your reading and study.

Join two other people (who think a little differently than you) in a study group and meet regularly to discuss problems and ideas.

Algebra, like almost all math, is very simple. The hard part is learning WHY it is simple. Once something in math gets really simple for you, it will stay simple.

Is algebra 2 hard??????????????

It was mixed of both for me but super hard and it had a little bit of caculus...our teacher wanted to mix everything so we wouldn't forget and learn advance math even though we sophomores/juniors -_-... If you ask for help and stay for tutoring you will get it at some point ^_^.....like me XD Lol

Is algebra 1 hard?

Yeah, It is really easy. I took it in seventh grade adn it was no problem.

Is algebra 1 hard in 9th grade ?

if you took pre-algebra, then it's going to be a cinch for you.
you'll just cover the basic stuff first once more, and gradually it's going to get more complicated.

the processes will get longer and more complex,
but if you master the easy stuff, you'll be able to do the rest.
just pay attention to the teacher at all times and take lots of notes on your notebook.

also pay attention to the instructions and the requirements the teacher is giving you!

algebra 2 is much harder, so don't worry by now :)

On a scale of 1-10, how hard is Algebra 2?

First of all, don't hesitate to disregard Zhi Li's answer. I don't know why this person felt compelled to share this absurd answer that nowhere near addressed your question, nor am I surprised that his name is Zhi Li (Japan and China as he mentioned are CRAZY when it comes to education). Secondly, don't worry about Algebra 2! I was the same way about it. Just be sure to keep an OPEN mind, as it's math that you've really never explored before. I love Algebra 2 and I'd rate it at about a 5/10. :)

How hard is Pre-AP Algebra 1?

I don’t know if I should answer this because I’ve never heard of Pre-AP Algebra 1, but I took algebra 1 in 8th grade and it was a breeze. Any high school math class that has “pre” or “algebra” in its name is not going to be too hard. Don’t let the AP scare you; I went to high school in Minnesota —one of the best states for math— and I never once had a hard math class at the high school.

How hard is pre-algebra?

For students who need to take it, pre-algebra can be really difficult. In pre-algebra you typically review some arithmetic of integers. You need to get comfortable with proportional reasoning and fractions. Fractions represent a huge conceptual leap for a lot of students and take a considerable time to master. You also learn about variables and solving equations. The basics of algebra require a new layer of abstract thinking.I like to spend time on problem solving as well. Applications allow students to see how mathematics can be useful. Students have a hard time with applications.

Is abstract algebra harder then advanced calculus?

Depends on you. A lot of people on both sides of this. When I was an undergraduate math major, I took both advanced calculus and abstract algebra in my junior year.First, I was “over” calculus, having been through four semesters, (three calculus plus one differential equations). Then, I got a professor for advanced calculus who thought it was clever to approach the subject using filters and filter bases (for undergrads!) instead of the more familiar concepts of sequences and convergence. So here I was in my fifth semester of calculus (after four successful semesters), completely lost in material that had no discernible relation to the things I was familiar with - at least to me at the time. Suffice to say, I didn’t like the class or the professor, and my grades reflected that.On the other hand, I had always loved proofs in geometry, and my first abstract algebra class brought back the joy of proofs that I had experienced earlier. Plus, it was a welcome change from all the convergence and other topological concepts I was trying to digest in advanced calculus. I took to abstract algebra like a duck to water, and eventually I ended up doing my dissertation on modular group representation theory. Is my experience typical? Probably not. But I though abstract algebra was a cake-walk compared to advanced calculus.

Is advanced linear algebra difficult?

I can only answer this question with regards to my own experience. I’m currently in the Honors version of the Linear Algebra class at my school. In my class, we worked through Lang’s Linear Algebra book in about four weeks and now we’re powering through Representation Theory. Advanced linear algebra is difficult or at least I found it to be difficult. I don’t know if it was the pacing or the professor’s style of lecture or just the material itself that made it difficult, but it was difficult, especially for a freshman with no previous experience in a proof-based math course. Those were four awful weeks. I thought that my troubles with this subject meant that I would never make it as a mathematician (and I still confront those same doubts). I think the struggle to stand up to my inner doubts may have been harder than my struggles with the material. So my advice is to not give up. I know that it may sound cheesy and kinda lame, but with determination (stubbornness/tenacity etc) you can overcome a lot of obstacles. As to resources that you can use to help you in this course, I suggest:Course Website (This is an MIT Linear Algebra course website with homework problems and solutions as well as tests with solutions)Amazon.com: Matrices and Linear Transformations: Second Edition (Dover Books on Mathematics) (0800759663286): Charles G. Cullen: Books (This book saved my life in Linear Algebra)Mathematics Stack Exchange (Always a useful resource)
