In early of 2010 Amanda Bynes has confirmed on Twitter that she is officially retiring. After the past years she has been posting pictures of herself, dissing the media and what they should say and post about her (especially Perez Hilton), saying how she wants Drake to murder her vagina, called Jay-Z an ugly face, wants Obama to sue the police that arrested her and more things you would of never expected Amanda Bynes would ever say in a billion years. A lot of people including doctors who don't work with Amanda Bynes predict that she has an addiction to alcohol or an addiction to bath salts which is making her come off with a bizarre behavior. Amanda Bynes doesn't look like how she did in the past. She got her cheeks punctured, lips filled with fillers, blonde dried out hair which she said got fried out at a hair salon and now currently wears a wig. She has also been to a gymnastics class where she cried about her wig falling off, was mumbling to herself and was kicked out of a fitness gym for smoking weed in the public bathroom on 4/20. She just seems as if she is just pressured with the fame and she has fallen into a hole and can't get herself back up. Hopefully she'll get back on track again. Its mortifying to see her like this!

If I had to make an educated guess, I'd likely use a version of the Britney Spears model and go "a little from Column A, a little more from Column B". --On one hand, the basis for her behavior seems way out in left field. And Amanda Bynes is at that age--a lot of people with thought disorders do START to have hallucinations and delusions in their early to mid 20s. Lots of people with Schizoid or Schizophrenic thought processes start having clear and present problems at that age. --On the other, I also think some self-medicating is at work here. She's probably doing things "to take the edge off", alcohol being the legal one, and abusing DXM (cough syrup/surpressant) being the less legal one. It's a shame too. On the one hand she doesn't want to be famous--or at least didn't back when she was last sane. But on the other, well, tabloids DO pay celebs and ex-celebs for this sort of "cry for help" business so long as they get pics. (*shrugs*)
