Is Amazon safe to buy from using credit card ?
Hey am thinking about buying the PS3 with a few games from Amazon.com, am using my girlfriend's credit card and she's really scared about losing her money. I don't want her to lose her money I rather not just get it if she is going to lose anything , yet I really want it, so is it safe to buy from through credit card ? I prefer people who have used amazon with credit card to answer...Thanks. -Chad

I am trying to order this book on-line from Amazon.com. Is it safe to make transactions on-line from this website? The book that I am trying to order cost $9.70 it's a paperback book. I was ask to enter my credit card number. But before I make this transaction I wanted to know the whole total plus shipping but I wasn't given the whole total. Is there a number I can call to ask them for the total? Thanks to all of you who can help me!!!!!!

It's safe (not a scam or anything), as long as you buy from a reputable seller. I've bought several used books on Amazon - I just look to see the seller's rating. If it's a high rating (90%+ positive) by many people, then I feel completely confident buying the book. I've had no problems so far. :)
Is it safe to use ebay or amazon?
I buy stuff from amazon all the time and I love it, the items almost always arrive within 2 business days! As long as you are buying from the actual amazon store everything should be bran new I made the mistake of buying a book from a private seller on amazon and it said it was in good condition but when I received it and took the paper cover off and the hardcover had mold all over it! I ended up throwing the book away and getting it at a book store! You will know its from a private seller if it says __ new and __ used if not it is from Amazon! I usually use credit card to pay and have never had a problem! eBay is safe to use palpal I have done it a few times, I would not use my credit card though I am not sure it might be safe but they advise you to use PayPal so that's what I do! Everything I have ordered has been the same as it was shown except one time I bought a sterling silver ring that was not suppose to tarnish or cause discoloration and after wearing it for 4 days my finger was green and I paid $80.00 for it! Another time I bought some strawberry hair gel that smelled absolutely nasty not like strawberries at all! So check out their return polices and you can also email them and ask any questions you have and they should answer you fairly quickly! I would trust amazon more than eBay but both are fairly good sites if you keep your eyes open and order directly from amazon and check the return policy! Good Luck and I hope I helped!

You have got a great bargain! I always shop on Amazon for cheaper products, last week I got two DVD box-sets for $20 together when they would be $70 each from a real life store! I have all the seasons of the TV shows 'Charmed' and 'House' which I bought off Amazon, the seasons of Charmed should be $40 each and the seasons of House should be $45 in normal stores each and I get them for $10-20 each from Amazon, it's amazing what you can save if you shop around! I use my debit card all the time on Amazon so yes you can use one and it is 100% safe. First you have to sign up for an account. Next, click on 'my account' in the top-right corner. Scroll down to where it says 'payment methods' and even though it says 'add credit card' you can add your debit card. Type in all of your card information this is so you don't have to type the card information in every time you make a purchase as Amazon will remember your card and it will be set as the default payment method). Then enter your address details and click 'continue' and just follow the steps. On the site you find an item you want, then on the right click 'add to basket'. After that go to 'basket' in the top right-hand corner and just follow the instructions to purchase your item.
